Hi guys!
I am still here, although not every day. I am planning on going to the Gala with Carol, and meeting up with Sandy and Sharon and some other gals. Hope to meet many of you too. It will really be a fun and happy "Clayvention!"

The badges sound like a great idea Carol! Maybe we could make them ourselves. Perhaps some talented CDB'er can post a logo with a space for a name, and we can print it out and put it in a plastic holder with pin. They sell them in some stationary stores.
What a neat idea Norma!!! I'm not talented enough though!! I'm anxious to meet some CDB's too! Of course I miss you & Carol & Sharon! I miss the trips to see Spamalot! I miss Clay period!!! I cannot wait for this Gala!!!! Hope to meet you Fantotheend!

Sandy

Here is the small logo, if you can use it. I will attach the huge one in case it might work better for name tags.

:meme Jeweljet, here. Don't know the name? Not surprised. Seems I joined under my own nickname - Gwyn - but I think I immediately forgot about it when I broke my leg in two places.

Matters not; since reading 'The Ideal Idol', I've loved this site. So many good things about it, and to an author/journalist/editor, the writing's high on my list.

At the moment, I'm not too well, and the earthly loss of three Siamese, my adored Oriental Shorthair (she was Jet, Jewel of the Moonlight!) two close friends, and three days ago, my father-in-law, I'm feeling numb, but I hope to be here fairly often soon.

Jeweljet or Gwyn, either's fine, and I love Clay for all the reasons you do.

BTW I've been on wheels since spinal meningitis at sixteen, and to date, almost all of my work (a book on the problems of women with disabilities in particular) has boiled down to the need for full inclusion(!!) Clay was/is even a greater surprise to hubby and me!

Jan, sorry I haven't posted about the lovely name tag you posted for us. As you know, I'm not knowledgeable about computer stuff. But I just wanted to thank you for your thoughtfulness. I'm hoping they might have something set up for the fans upon their arrival at the hotel as these kind of affairs sometimes do. I've been to places where the tags are all set up in the lobby on a table in alphabetical order. We'll see!

Thanks again.

JewelJet, I am so happy to see you posting! I do remember the name Gwyn on the member list.

I am sorry for your loss of your 2 friends, your father in-law and your beloved cats. So much heartbreak! :brokheart

I admire you for your perseverance and talent in getting a book published about the problems of women with disabilities and the importance of full inclusion. I know from your email to me that you greatly admire Clay for his work in promoting this very thing, and you clearly have a very personal knowledge of it.

I am so glad you have joined us and I hope to see you posting more when you feel up to it! :heart

That's great Jan! I printed the small one and I think there will be room to write our name next to it. Anyone else print out the small or big one yet?

JewelJet - I read your post too, and I'm glad that you have checked in. I was so sorry to read about your losses and your personal issue. I give you so much credit to write that book. JewelJet is a beautiful screen name named after your beloved cat. Please stop by again to let us know how you're doing.

Hugs,
Sandy

I'll take it in my pocketbook just in case!! Maybe they'll have some sort of tag there.
