Hi my CDB friends.
Hi Gals, How is everyone! I know I have been missing in action lately. I have had a busy summer and I don't get much time to go on the computer. Plus my computer is acting up and is very slow so I tend to check my email and shut it down. It is getting old I guess. Time to think about a replacement soon.

Happy belated anniversaries, birthday's etc. I hope everyone is having a great summer. I am just finishing a two week vacation. It's back to work tomorrow. I spent 10 days at Sauble Beach in Ontario with family and we had a great time. My cousin, her husband, and the twin 18 month old boys joined us for some of it. What busy little boys they were. This was their 2nd visit to a beach and they absolutely loved it. Just watching them play in the sand and the water was priceless. We had lots of campfires and we even attended an Elvis concert right on the campground. My Aunt's neighbour at the trailer park is an impersonator and I was surprised how good he was. Listening to him sing I Can't Help Falling in Love with You was like listening to an Elvis record. He even dedicated the song In the Ghetto to my Aunt and he sang to us. We also had a neighbourhood BBQ. I also got in the water and took in lots of sunsets. I had fun experimenting with my new digital camera I purchased at Christmas.

I have also been house sitting for a friend a lot while she vacations. I spent 3 weeks in July living at her house. I don't think the cat knew what was going on LOL

I am still loving my job at the Chef school. It is hard to believe that I have almost been there a year already. We are so busy right now with lots of people re-training for new careers. It is never a dull moment around there. I even have an assistant for the summer. One of the Chef's sons is helping both the Chef's and I out during his summer vacation. He taught me how to use Facebook so if anyone out there is on face book you will have to look me up. You will have to find out my Real name first.. ( hee hee).

My boss got free tickets to the Idol concert this coming Friday in Hamilton, Ont. (45 minutes away from my house) and she asked me to go with her. We might even get into the meet and greet if they have one since they are VIP tickets apparently. I have never been to the Idol concert before. Should be an interesting evening.

I am also heading to a Great Big Sea concert in Toronto in two weeks. They always put on a great concert. Lots of dancing and singing. I always come home tired after their concerts because you never sit. You dance.

My friends and I are going to see the musical Jersey Boys in Toronto in September. I have heard that this is a great show. Anyone else seen it?

Don't laugh but I actually just watched Clay on Third Rock the other night. I had 3 DVD's of taped shows to watch and finally tackled that task this week. Hopefully we will get some Clay news soon. I thought of him and his family yesterday when it was Parker's first birthday.

Well I better close.
I will do my best to get back here soon. Hopefully things will settle down in the fall.

take care
Happy Summer
Jackie

Jayclayline, it makes me happy to know that you are so busy and it sounds like you are happy as well! It's great to hear about all you have been doing. :bliss All the concerts sound like so much fun! And chef school with an assistant? What a blast!

Very cool that you got to spend time with your family and the 18 month old twins.. aren't they a crackup to watch?

Fingers crossed for some great Clay career news... how much would we love a concert? :Prayer

As for Jersey Boys, Bebop and I saw it in NYC and enjoyed it. The actor who played the lead was the understudy and he had a great voice, but I think the regular actor(can't remember his name) might have been better..

The music and choreagrphy are fantastic! It is a very enjoyable production!
