I JUST FINISHED WATCHING A VIDEO ON YOU TUBE (((KEVIN SKINNER SINGING "IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES"))). THIS MAN DID A FANTASTIC JOB WITH THAT SONG. I DON'T USUALLY LISTEN TO COUNTRY MUSIC, BUT SOMETHING ABOUT THAT MAN JUST PULLED ME IN. & AT THE END OF THE SONG HE HAD TEARS STREAMING DOWN HIS FACE AS IF HE WAS FEELING WHAT HE WAS SINGING.IF ANYONE WANTS TO VIEW IT CHOOSE THE ONE THAT'S OVER 6 MINUTES LONG.SEEING A MAN CRY DOES ME IN EVERY TIME.

 I don't know why, but I keep going back to that video throughout the day,viewing it,& getting a lump in my throat each time, SANDY. He may not be the best of singers ,but there's just something about him that makes me want to listen to him sing that song with so much feeling,(like someone else we know).I have never heard GARTH BROOKS sing it (even tho that's one of his songs),but I really don't think he can top this version.Not having heard all of the auditioners for AMERICAS GOT TALENT,I do hope KEVIN wins.

Thanks Jan, for the link:I closed my eyes & just listened to the song.I still love Kevins better & wish he could have sung the full song.To me, he seemed so much more passionate, like he was feeling each word as he sang it. GARTHS was o. k, but it's like he was just singing a song.,didn'tfeel like it was coming from his heart.ANYWAY, THANKS FOR THE LINK, BUT kEVIN STILL HAS MY VOTE.

 I just finished watching AMERICAS GOT TALENT, & was on pins & needles(as the old saying goes) while KEVIN SKINNER was awaiting his verdict.He made it to LAS VEGAS & was waiting to see if he was going thru to HOLLYWOOD.Of course the judges try to prolong their decision before giving their answer.I guess they want to see you sweat,but thankfully, he did make it thru to the next round, which is HOLLYWOOD. GOOO! KEVIN.

MY MAN KEVIN DID HIS THING AGAIN TONIGHT ON 'AMERICAS GOT TALENT".  HE SANG ONE OF THE LATEST MONTAGES "TO MAKE YOU FEEL MY LOVE' , WHICH WHILE HE WAS SINGING , I ENVISIONED THE LATEST MONTAGE ON IDEAL IDOL ABOUT CLAY.THAT MAN (IMO) IS A COUNTRY SINGER WITH SOUL.I'M GLAD THAT WAS HIS CHOICE OF SONG,BECAUSE IT REALLY MADE ME THINK OF CLAY.THEY BOTH HAVE A DEFINITIVE PASSION WHEN THEY SING, WHICH GETS YOU RIGHT IN THE GUT.(PARDON MY CHOICE OF WORDS), BUT THAT'S HOW THEIR SINGING AFFECTS ME.  I'M GOING TO TRY TO PULL IT UP ,I THINK THEY SAID NBC.COM. I HOPE I'M RIGHT ,BECAUSE I WANT TO HEAR HIM AGAIN.

As time goes on , I'm beginning to get a little worried about Kevin. There are really some good acts on AMERICAS GOT TALENT that he will be competing against.I wish the show would have competitors competing against others in the same category ,but no, they lumpthem all together ,which means some really good ones are gone. But I do believe they pit good ones together (which imo )is wrong. But as Clay says "it's all marketing, folks".

That's true, Tennie, and if I am not mistaken, they are looking for an act that many visitors to Las Vegas will pay to go see. Unfortunately, it is more of a city for big shows and acts than for simple, pure talent as Kevin has.

True, & all of the judges were ga- ga over the fire act duo.They even said they would be a good act between shows.Judges can be so fickle sometimes .They've told so many of them they deserve to be there ,& they could win this thing.But I hope they are all taking it in stride ,knowing those are just empty words.
