Last year I sent you a recipe for Spaghetti that, I think, is one of the best ever for Italian spaghetti. Now my wife has outdone herself because one day she decided to make spaghetti but she did not have enough canned tomatoes. She grabbed a small can of V-8 juice and did not tell me that she substituted the juice for the tomatoes. I took one bite expecting her usual grand mixture of spaghetti. It is easily my number one dish to eat. I put down the fork and the background flavor was OUTSTANDING. Background flavor is tasted, at least, an hour AFTER you have eaten a meal. My taste buds ALWAYS react to a meal that is way above an ordinary meal. My family get tired of my describing exceptional food but I cannot help it when I taste something extraordinary. I guess I missed my calling as a food taster. My obsession with great food get my goat when a fantastic meal is ruined when a cook leaves out an ingredient. I have often called over a manager or owner to tell them something is missing in their recipe. I have them taste it and 9 times out of 10 they will notice what is missing! I assure you that if you try this new version of her spaghetti, you may be spoiled eating out at restaurants and ordering it. I have attached the recipe. Edited by MrMontage, Jul 9 2009, 07:38 AM.

Thank you, MrMontage, it sounds delicious! I just wish I liked to cook. Maybe I can get my husband to do it.
