I love these hour-long shows....they get done earlier, and there's less for me to type. Quentin's back!! Yay!! Though his hair is worse than Conan's Allison: Overdone song, yes.....but her version is the best one done by FAR. I did notice a bum note or 2, so it wasn't quite her best vocal, but she absolutely deserves at least the top 5. Thank you, Cowell, for giving her credit. Anoop: it sounded like he missed his cue to come in at the very beginning. He too has a few off notes, but it's an overall very nice performance. He didn't necessarily rough it up like QT wanted him too, but oh well. Adam: As soon as Ryan said Easy Rider, I knew Adam was going to do BTBW. And of course, he takes the opportunity to show his inner Axl Rose yet again. It's a great performance, though it's a song that's almost too easy to sing. but no matter....he's still at the head of the pack Matt: I agree with Randy....it started out really nice, but the bridge was a mess with the cracks in his voice. He recovers somewhat at the end, but the mistakes were pretty blatant. Add to that the band, which was unnecessary. Just Matt and the piano would have been more enthralling. Danny: Ooh, a harp! I like harps. However, Danny's start was a little rough. He quickly pulls it together and unleashes the Danny Roar towards the end, but I was still disappointed that he didn't pick something a little more uptempo. Furthermore, Cowell hit the nail on the head: Danny is lacking in originality. I've felt that way for the last few weeks. Danny's talented, no doubt....I'm just getting a little bored by him. Sorry Gokey fans. Kris: I LOVE THIS SONG!! Best song choice of the night! The work of the Swell Season deserves to be showcased on a show as big as Idol. As for Kris's singing...he gave an honest, pure performance that really drew me in. He did have a little trouble on his falsetto, but he otherwise did a really great job. Lil: The Rose has some sentimental value here....I sang this song for my very first solo when I was 15. And no, I am not on YouTube. Sorry, folks. Anyhoo, Lil begins to give on of the best performances she's had thus far...right up until the gospel arrangement kicks in and she starts belting runs all over the place. That treatment didn't suit such a serene, quite song. Another big disappointment from Lil, and it got worse when she stated her desperate plea. All I could do was sit there and shake my head. Overall, I was underwhelmed. Adam was the only one who gave a completely clean vocal, and I totally dug Kris and Allison, but there were a few too many ballads tonight. Rankings: Kris Adam (Kris had a better song choice) Allison Anoop Danny Matt(interchangeable) Lil (interchangeable) |

My speakers must be defective... I seem to hear something different than the rest of America every week. My list would be: Kris Allison Danny Adam Matt Anoop Lil I really liked Lil in her top 24 group... but since then she's gone down hill... I really like Anoop but with the way America has been voting these past several weeks he could be at risk. |

My List: 1. Adam (Grabs me every time... not the way Clay does, but I so get his appeal. Dyed black hair, black eye makeup. Yeah, but I don't care. ... with that smile and those blue eyes. Wow.) 2. Kris (Love that song and I thought he did it really well. Cutie- pie too. Watch again the great montage to that song on IDEAL IDOL.) 3. Danny (I still like him.) 4. Anoop (lovely voice, nice style... song is boring to me.) 5. Allison (meh for me tonight.) 6. Matt (talented, but he just doesn't make me care.) 7. Lil (All she she needed to seal the "no deal" for me would have been the neck thing while she talked.) |

I feel like I'm missing something. I just don't get the appeal of Kris at all. I love that song but he bored me completely. Matt was so off it was distracting, and it didn't help that he had to go on after Adam who is so head and shoulders above the rest of the group I feel bad for anyone who has to go after him each week. The thing about Adam-besides his crazy goodness- is that you can't help but notice him. When he is performing it isn't enough to just listen-you have to stop and watch too. He doesn't just sing-he performs-and if I'm going to shell out hard earned money for a concert I want a performance. This was definitley not my favorite Allison performance-it left me a little cold. Anoop and Danny were both very good. Anoop more so than Danny I think-mostly because Danny is getting a little predictable Lil might have a nice career on a cruise ship. I think it'll be Lil going home with Matt and Allison (although I don't think she deserves it) in the bottom three again. |

Good morning, Well, here is my list: Adam - he wow's me everytime - this kid is a performer!!! Anoop - I still like the way he sings; love the song Allison - Wasn't very good last night, but she can sing and I think she'll be around for a while. Kris - so sweet Danny - still like him. Matt - I'm not crazy about him; find him boring Lil - still trying hard, but I feel it's time for her to go. |

After last night's performances of the Top 7: Kris - I never saw the movie "ONCE" but I have seen the montage of "Falling Slowly" and I have to say one thing, I know there will never be another "CLAY" but in my opinion I truly think Kris sort of reminds me of our boy ... the voice and there is something about him that is appealing to me. I think it's the way he presents about himself on stage. He never takes anything in a bad way. Kris is always smiling. Anoop - He's good and getting better. Allison - She's okay for me ... I think she needs to tone down her hair color a bit. Adam - He's a rocker and yes he's good but he's just not "ELVIS" .... he's a talented guy. Danny - He's okay but I prefer him as a balladeer ... or country artist. Matt - I'm not crazy about him; find him boring ( I agree Sandy) Lil - still trying hard, but I feel it's time for her to go. (Here agrain, I agree with what Sandy said) Here are my picks thus far. It still doesn't beat 2003's Top 12. BOTTOM 3 choices : Lil ... Matt & Danny (with Lil going home) Oh one more thing I hate the way the jugdes are only doing two at a tme for each of the contestants now just to make the show go quicker. I think it's strickly unfair, I don't see why the producers and of course the judges couldn't come up with shorter comments for all of the contestants so no judge would be left out. I saw a few times Simon or Paula wanted to say something but it wasn't their turn. I'm glad Clay didn't have to deal with the way the show is now. GOOD LUCK KRIS! I also don't like that only 2 of the judges commented on each contestant last night. They just need to give each judge a time limit and when that time is up move right along, but allow each judge to comment. Paula and Simon need to quit acting like children. I think the voting public got it right for the bottom 3 tonight. Cool that the judges saved Matt, but it just means that next week Matt and Lil will both go home. Why oh why don't they wax Anoop's eyebrows? I am guessing that he won't let them.

Jan you are so funny! I was thinking the same thing when he was talking to Ryan about the judging. and I agree...Matt and Lil will probably both go home next week. I would have waited to use the save until the last possible week unless something went majorly wrong with the voting-like Adam got voted off. |

We'll all know what happens after "Disco" week. Now I know some of you might think Lil Rounds and Matt may be the two going home. But truthfully I doubt it with that. Here's what I think may happen. LiL Rounds may just sing something by Donna Summer as her anthem ... "Last Dance" Matt and the others could have problems. Of course not one of those contestants from this year's season were born during the 70's so we could see two of them going "Home" instead of whom you might think. Here's Clay's version of "Everlasting Love" w/ judges comments from Season 2 "Disco Night" ... Enjoy (hopefully Simon will "eat" his words and "not" compair "Kris" to "Clay" in saying the song was absolutely "TERRIBLE" and he still was looking for a superstar but based on that performance he still "didn't get it" ... that's if Kris sings the song tonight.) CDB you be da judge and take a listen to see if you think Kris could sing this song. To keep Simon from saying anything bad about it and our "Clay" ... he just might. That's if Simon gets to saying anything at all if he judges Kris tonight. Maybe Kris could take a stab at this song, I don't know if he will but who knows! If it happens ... don't blame me for saying it ... LOL! It might be my ESP! Keeping my Good Luck Kris, ... and to all others tonight!Wendy Edited by krazy4clay09, Apr 21 2009, 02:42 PM.

I don't think Simon ever got it. Although I agree with Simon about most things (except his criticisms of Clay-I think that may have been more personal than we know-even compliments seemed to be given grudgingly) his inability to listen with an open mind to certain genres of music (country and disco in particular) make him a little less credible in my mind. That and sometimes he's just downright MEAN! Krazy, I think you may be right about this week. We all may be surprised at who goes home, this is tough genre, although on some online polls I've seen, Matt and Lil consistantly have the fewest voters. |

I was pretty shocked with the way it went last night I never expected to hear or see the "Disco" night episode go that way. Everyone was relaxed and they sang the best way they could. The judges all gave out their comments and I was surprised that Simon for once, managed to say great things. I still hope Kris goes through I am really beginning to love him. We'll see tonight what happens and which 2 goes home! Wendy Edited by krazy4clay09, Apr 22 2009, 11:13 AM.

I don't think Kris will have a problem. He isn't my favorite (not even my top 3- sorry Kris fans) but I know he is immensely popular. I think in the end the top 4 will be Adam, Kris, Danny and Allison with a finale between Adam and Danny or Adam and Kris. We'll know in a few more weeks! |

I will agree that Adam is talented but , for some reason, he does nothing for me. Kris is the one I would like to see go all the way. Lil needs so much work...she's off key a lot and sometimes not in time with the songs. I think she is trying too hard. I wasn't surprised when she was eliminated. I would have like to have seen Anoop stay a bit longer, even though I don't believe he would have won. I don't enjoy watching Allison but she sounds good. However, she doesn't seem to be pulling the votes. Danny and Matt.....I can never remember what they have sung....that can't be good !!!!! |
