Since it's late and my snark-o-meter is turning in for the night, I'm going to just rank the contestants and add any brief comments that come to me

Adam: I love Tears for Fears....best song choice of the season. And he's only 2 days older than I am!
*small gap*
Allison: more meaty voice than Bonnie, but still gorgeous
Matt: Still a bit "bleaty" but it seemed to work
Anoop: Nicely done
Kris: I liked this way more than the judges, apparently
Danny: very good vocal, but I didn't like the arrangement at all
Scott: First half was good, shouted at the key change
Lil: Tina Turner, she is not

I think Lil should go...and if Allison is in the Bottom 3 again, I'm going on strike

:meme Tiger!

My ranking.

Adam :clap

Allison :clap

Matt
Anoop
Kris
Danny
Lil' Rounds
Scott

I think Scott should go. I think he has the weakest voice of all the other contestants. I am giving Lil' Rounds one more week.

Good morning!!

Here is my opinion:

Adam was awesome - the song brought me to tears

Allison was fantastic (she sort of sounds like Bette Midler to me)

Matt was great.

Lil - probably should go

Scott - he's very sweet but may have to go soon

Danny is good but not good enough

Anoop still like him

Kris is precious and did ok

IMO the finale will be Allison and Adam

Have a good day everyone!!
Hugs,
Sandy

I agree with you nym, Scott is the one who should go this week.

Adam continues to amaze-he even got my husband (who has NO interest in anything Idol) to lift his head out of the last Twilight book and comment on how great he thought Adam is.

Allison is also very very good but I didn't feel the heart-wrenchingness (is that a word?) I think the song should have, but she is only 16. She is crazy good none the less.

I love Danny, not completely thrilled with the arrangement but I liked the performance anyway.

Still don't get the appeal of Kris or Matt although of the two of them I think Matt is the better singer/performer.

I liked Anoop's performance, but he seems generic to me. He sings very well but not really great and with people like Adam and Allison in the competition you need to be really, really great to beat them.

If Scott isn't going then Lil should.

I'm not brave enough to pick who will be the final two but I can say I think the final three will be Adam, Allison and Danny.

Adam, if he does not win this year there is no justice, MHO.

Allison came back, yay and Danny was good too.

The is a bit of problem as Tivo's cut off before Adams song which was last. If you missed it you can watch it here,

Yes, the show really ran overtime last night!

I think Adam will probably win and I love that the voting audience is so accepting of his sexuality and that it is not a factor -as it might have been in the past. He is mad -talented and deserves to win. As the judges always say, "This is a singing competition" and he can SANG!" :clap

I love Allison's voice and I would buy music by her if I like the songs. :thumbsup I also love Danny. He has never hit a bad note that I have heard and what a down-to earth guy! :heart I hope these will be the top three.

I like Kris and I think he will have a record contract.. he is very "Marketable" as Simon would say.

I actually enjoyed Scott's performance and I thought the judges were too hard on him. :nono

Anoop annoyed me with his sarcasm in saying it was his mom's fault that he hated having his picture taken. :dgust I know it wasn't a big thing but it just annoyed me. He does sing very well, though.

I think Lil or Scott will go tonight... but I still think Anoop is vulnerable.
Oops! Forgot about Matt. He is really talented...can sing and play piano so very well... but something is missing.. not sure what.. I think he might be vulnerable tonight, too.

I have a question about the former idols coming back to sing. Will Clay come back? Kelly Pickler wasn't a winner.

I don't think they will ask Clay to come back. He isn't always complimentary about idol (wonder why? :wink ) and he COMPLETELY stole the spotlight from whoever won Season 5 (who was it again? :dunno ) with his showstopping entrance, makeover and VOICE! I don't think TPTB liked that very much.

BUT...Clay now has a kick *ss PR person and some people in his corner who seem determined to get him seen in the entertainment world the way he should be; as a gorgeous smart, funny, multi-talented man with incredible appeal and potential.

So you never know.

I'd love to see him perform 'Everything I Don't Need' on Idol. It would be so unexpected for the people who only remember him from Season 2.

I agree with you, Secret! He has received so much PR for this TV gig and even though they only showed a bit of what he really said/did, I think he looked and sounded great!

Now what he needs is a really good guest appearance on an even higher profile show... like um.. I dunno... maybe 30Rock. :love1 I just fear that the appearance will be so brief that he won't be able to show his talents.... but we'll see.

But when, oh when are we going to hear him sing again?
Even though I am not a big fan of 'Everything I Don't Need' on the CD, he KILLS performing it live, and I would love to see him do that on a high-profile late night show, as well as good couch time. :fingerscrossed
