When you've finally put the kids to bed - or waved good-bye to the grandkids.
When you've finally digested that 3 hour lunch - and found your way home again.
When your back is feeling better - and the snow just can't get deeper.
When dinner's not quite ready - and " Lost " is over.
When you're engine light seems to be behaving -
and when you've worn out all the possibilities of what could be stuck to the bottom of Clay's shoe.

Spend a few minutes enjoying some of the wonderful and/or unusual things to be found on YouTube.

That's where I go, seeing as we don't have tv.....

I'll post links whenever I see something I think is worth sharing, and please, do the same. This could be a fun spot to spend a couple of minutes now and then.

I'll start with the ones I have. - Oh - don't post Clay, if you don't mind. We have a spot just for him.... several spots, actually, ( not including the ones in our hearts. )

I'll give a small description so if you've already seen that particular one, you don't have to waste your time. Or who knows - it might be worth a second look.

You asked for it. Posted Image

I have a life. Just not at the moment. My 'real' job cut my hours from three days a week to two, its a slow time between Christmas and Valentine's Day for a sweet treats business my best friend and I run, there's a Clay drought going on and :sniff and my son and husband are always at the firehouse now that my son joined as a junior explorer :cry

:bigsmile Bet you're sorry now.

I'll be busy again in couple of weeks when I have to start baking for Valentine's Day :heart but until then I have lots of time for YouTube.

How much do I owe you doc? Are Clay pics acceptable currency? Posted Image

Nageea, you come up with the neatest ideas. :) By the way I am still working on "what is
stuck on the bottom of Clays shoe.
Enjoyed all the video's, a lot. :clap Hard to pick a favorite, all of them have a lot of +'s.
Especially like the boxer & the baby. Captured moments of wonderment, a precious once
in a lifetime.
The guys on the treadmill are pretty awesome. Am sure I would have broken something.
Probably a lot of somethings. :O
Tiger, you are right, the gal is talented.
Secret, baking for Valentines Day, could you let me know when you start. I'll be right
over. :wink

Tiger - I loved your ukelele girl !! And she writes her own songs and music too. How talented she is!!! I spent far too much time on that site... but thanks for that. :smile

tippy - thanks for your contribution - it's amazing what trouble people will go to, to entertain. And more amazing still, how cleverly thought out that video was. Thanks to sites like YT - people can share their creativity. And the rest of us can spread the good feelings around.

Secret - I'm not feeling sorry for you at all - you seemed to be at loose ends for about 15 minutes and then you were up and at it again. I didn't know you had your own business. Silly thing to say, I've only just met you.

ok, here's another offering to enjoy, assuming you enjoy the humor of Eric Idle ( and on this site - who doesn't, right? :D

Nageea, thanks for the Eric Idle link. Really enjoyed it. Haven't heard that song for ages. Sure
brought a smile to my face.
I am wondering about something though. Seems like you are spending a lot of time lately in
outer space :dunno What's up with that? :hug-friends

Because I'm a little spaced myself? :wink

One brother is something big in the Amateur Astronomical Society. He even has a small planet or an asteroid or something named after him. He's been on radio & tv many times in our country speaking about all things starry. Another brother, who recently retired, now has a blog all about astronomy, and speaks in schools and writes columns in the local papers about his hobby. The third brother owns the biggest mother of a telescope I've ever seen. So, you see, I'm surrounded.

Seriously, I'm deeply interested in two things. The mysteries of the human psyche and the mysteries of outer space. Neither one is understood.

I enjoyed that "Galaxy" link too, nageea. You have very interesting brothers!

I have a brother who was extremely interested in astronomy as a kid and teenager. He gradually transformed into being a computer geek, got his masters in computer science and traveled abroad setting up computer systems for companies during the 70's. After that, he became extremely intrigued by the psyche and went back to school and got his doctorate in clinical psychology. He now is the head psychologist of a penal institution where he supervises and counsels the psychologists who work with the inmates, and sometimes still works directly with the inmates himself. He says they are fascinating.

Isn't it amazing how much there is to know and how much we still do not understand about so. many. things?

A brother with such an interesting job! And the best part is he appears to love what he does. Not many people get to do what they're most interested in.

In my next life I'm coming back as an astronomer or a psychiatrist. Or just a person who can spell. I had the worst time spelling psychiatrist, you just don't know.

Our youngest son runs a rehab home for hardcore addicts, both drug and alcohol. I've been there a few times. I have no idea how he can do this, year after year, holding together such a well run establishment and keeping his sanity at the same time. We're very proud of him, as this is one of the hardest jobs there is, I think. Just like your brother's job - neither job is for the faint of heart.

That's for sure! My bro says that he has worked with some murderors whom he would be very comfortable living next door to... and some men convicted of lessor crimes whom he wouldn't want to live anywhere near in our society. He is the one that recommends whether or not the inmate should be paroled or released, by how they respond to treatment. It's heavy duty for sure.

He also designed a program for female addicts (alcohol and drug) that would have them continue to stay in touch with a specific mentor/ counselor after their release to help them to avoid falling back into addiction. It has been quite successful, but is in danger of losing its funding, due to cutbacks.

I suppose some of those people could end up in a home like that which is run by your son. What would our country do without people who can handle this kind of pressure? :dunno

Nageea, it's nice to know we are not alone in being spaced out at times. Helps us keep our sanity,
right.??? :scratch_head :disbelief-sm :dance :hug-friends
Astronomy is fascinating. I can only begin to imagine some of the interesting conversations you must
have with your 3 brothers, & that telescope, the wonders to be seen with it.
Jan & Nageea, thank heavens there are people like your brother & son who have the heart & courage
to bring some care & hope to ones who for reasons most of us will never understand have hit the
lowest points in their lives.
The human psyche & outer space, very mysterious, people will still be trying to understand both
long after we are gone.
Below is another youtube video. Our family thinks it is very special. About an eagle who was human
imprinted at a very young age & can't be set free. Hope you enjoy.

Secret, :meme , I went to the white house with the blue door. All I got was a broom, mop & mop
bucket. :sniff
I swear I could smell all those goodies baking. Still, must have been the wrong door. Hope your
hand is all better.

p.s. - I also went to the white house with the blue door; didn't see you, didn't see Secret. I think she painted all the houses on the block the same just to confuse us.
