NO ADVERTISING OF PRODUCTS FOR SALE MAY BE DONE ON THE BOARD. Update: Posts in the Members Only area may NOT be taken to other boards or made public in any way. Doing so is grounds for termination of membership. (If you have extra tickets to Clay's concerts and need to sell them for the price you paid for them, that is an exception. No broker tickets or tickets for sale at exorbitant prices may be advertised on this board.) THE MISSION STATEMENT AND RULES MAY BE UPDATED FROM TIME TO TIME SO PLEASE READ THEM OFTEN. This is a board that was created as a place for Clay admirers to meet and share our admiration for Clay, fun and joking, and give support to each other when it is needed. The ClayDream Believers board nurtures a feeling of caring and support for Clay and for fellow board members. I you find something offensive in another member's post, please do not confront them about it on the board. If you believe it violates the CDB terms of use or member rules, you should contact an administrator with your concerns. An example of how we need to repect other's opinions is that when members have differing opinions about things, the rules of this board require that members accept that we disagree and move on. Most of us have enough conflict in our daily lives that we don't need to come to a message board and be greeted with more conflict. The CDB board should be a place of fun and refuge from the stress of everyday life. Freedom of speech is not a right on the CDB Board. However,a responsibility of Claydream Believers is to treat others with consideration and respect. If someone annoys you, then avoid posts by that person, do not confront them about it on the board. The more hits a web site gets, the more they will recognize the interest in Clay and the more likely they will be to publish more articles about him. If an article requires registration to read, please note that in your post. We discuss the personal joys and personal sadness and triumphs of the members who choose to share them. We encourage and support each other and should never make comments that are hurtful to others. We also have a great collective sense of humor; we tease and play and poke good-natured fun, when appropriate. The key words here are "good natured fun". That does not include sarcasm and veiled insults. The board managers reserve the right to make the decision of when banter has crossed the line from "good-natured fun" into malicious sarcasm. Thankfully, this rarely happens. The theme of the ClayDream Believers is RESPECT FOR CLAY AND FOR EACH OTHER. People who do not want to be a part of this kind of board are free to find another group to join, and will be asked to do so if they are not willing to take our theme to heart. We feel that Clay himself could very well be uncomfortable with being used in a publicly shared fantasy. We know that many people enjoy fanfic, and many boards allow it. However, this board was created as a tribute to Clay to go along with the tribute site Clay Aiken- The Ideal Idol, and fanfic just doesn't fit well with that. 6. If it would be embarrassing to you to know that Clay, his mother or family members were going to read it, then don't post it. 7. The rules that govern this board can be summed up in these words: "Respect for Clay Aiken his family and friends." 8. This is a message board that is intended to be appropriate for all ages. Please keep this in mind when you post! 9. Discussions of political issues and specific religious persuasions are not appropriate for this message board. If you enjoy debates about politics or religion there are plenty of boards that are devoted to that subject. However, Clay Aiken is a devoutly and openly Christian person and this is a large part of who* he is. From time to time there will be articles about him that pertain to Christianity as it relates to Clay and his performances or his life. Please keep any comments about these articles respectful of Clay and his religious beliefs. 10. We have a number of different religious faiths here and we want everyone to feel comfortable. However, general requests for prayers, and comments such as "Prayers for you" or 'Blessings' or 'Bless You' when appropriate -that do not refer to a specific religious persuasion- are acceptable and encouraged. That having been said, when you are moved to do so, you may post a personal testimony which refers to a spiritual experience of your own... as long as you do not belittle others who may have differing beliefs or opinions. No religious debates or "sermonizing", please. 11. Please do not post titles or author's names of books about Clay with are unauthorized by Clay.
