:hi: Here are some important tips to be taken seriously by beginners who want to take up tennis in future. Many people feel hyped up and can't wait to get their hands on a very good racket for their first time round as beginners, be it showing off how nice their rackets are, etc. However, very good rackets such as [K]Factor or Prince O3 speedports have in built technology within the rackets, either giving more [K]ontrol for the [K]Factor or things to do with aerodynamics allow fasting swing, etc. NEVER ever buy a racket just because you like the colour or looks ONLY. :useyourbrain: It must be a one that suits you well, such as size of the racket face and grip, makes a big difference in the way you play. I've heard from a good friend of mine that his fren bought a [K]4, which is part of the [K]Factor series that at the beginning using the racket was cool and stuff, but later on, his hand started to ache like hell. SO don't suffer after buying a racket. Buy smartly. ^^ :good: Oh yea, one last thing. Not buying a proper racket with a proper grip can also result in getting tennis elbow. Its a condition where the outer part of the elbow becomes painful and tender. It's a condition that is commonly associated with playing tennis, though the injury can happen to almost anybody. It typically occurs between the ages of 35 and 60, and resolves in about one year, and never returns. Though this is true, i've heard stories about some people getting it below the given age. But DO continue to keep your passion for tennis FIRED UP! And enjoy your game. LOL Edited by Nic, Oct 17 2008, 10:12 PM.
