'The blood tester can't be destroyed but it needs generators turned on to work. - No oxygen is more dangerous since humans have only 60.' These are the only things I disagree with, but zomg... Thats just stupid, if I understand correctly. From what I gather, you turn off generators to disable the bt, but anyone can turn them on at any given time, correct? Because if so, that screws up the game considerably... goodbye strategy, sigh. As for oxygen, I sure hope there's gunna atleast be seperate oxy on ships and the moon, otherwise SS+oxyoff = win... Lastly, the ammo. Yet another less item to have... Meh. Dissapointment... |

Rolf, zeph here is why blood tesrer is invurable. Okay, firstly thars 3 gens around the map, making it alot harder to get the blood tester online, Oh you can send peoples off to each of em and camp? Ambush one with your army of minions(Which I'm sure will be able to turn of the gen) They all come to the aid of one? go turn the others off. Also I think random events will be changed, remember this is NOT Para 2 with new suits, terrian, etc, this will be alot more interesting in group dynamics. Also, ammo gives you another reason to work as a team, If i would present to you how Earthbound worked, There were no items like healing stim, adernel stim, thermal, emc, etc, you only had a suit, weapon, ammo, and buyable powerups. To make it short and simple, good players will no longer be those who can solo a para and an army, good players will be those who keep tabs on others and know how to play properly. |

So the generators that power the BT aren't the same that keep the power on, and they start out being off? That's okay then. As for the gameplay thing, good players in p2 can do both. I'm all for more teamwork, cept they'd have to buff the para, and then there's the problem of newbs/noobs/tkingnoobs/jumptoconclusionscrubs/sadistictkingnoobs/morons/sadistictkingmoronicnoobwhojumpstoconlcusions/rompadomp. It would make para even less accessible to newbs

Yes... but I estimate a good 90% of bnet players (yes, that was an arbitrary number. sue me :P) are either nubs, scrubs, newbs, sadists or generally incompetent. I'd also say only about half of the competent players are willing to try new things, and only another 2% or so stick with para ![]() Eh. My point is, there are very few people on bnet that I'd want as a teammate in para, premades aside. Edited by zeph, Jan 23 2009, 03:51 PM.

Then there's another thing about teamwork in para. What do you do if you're the para? You can hardly get up to mischeif when you are perpetually grouped with humans ![]() Also, how often is enough infe members online to make a sizable group?
