http://www.beefjack.com/blog/news/call-duty-modern-warfare-2-priced-60-pc/ Apparently Activision thinks that they can get away with price gouging by raising the price of the PC version to $60 without offering additional content. you may think that it is just the PC version, but the PS3 and 360 versions of MW2 in the UK now are listed at 54.99 GBP, which is 15 GBP above the normal 40 GBP (60USD=36GBP). This all points to the basic version of MW2 being $70 in the US. I am certainly not going to buy MW2 right away if it is $70, not because I cannot afford it, but because it is wrong for Activision to gouge the prices like this. All for what is basically an expansion pack to Modern Warfare, same engine, same resolution (600p), same multiplayer. |
