"Great.... I'll make the proper papers but then again most of the people joining forge them so it's kinda useless unless you want to be tracked down as a specail."

Alan laughed a bit, it was a job but there was no life insurance whats so ever nor a retirement. Something you do, get paid and keep doing until you have enough to live off.Yet some people just like Heroes fighting evil never have enough to keep them satisfied.

"Your my partner from now on though keep in mind that I call the final shots. I actually prefer that since that means we are on the same page unlike followers and sidekicks who tend to be short sighted and rather useless when it comes down to it."

Alan knew that in papers the name would go under the helper/sidekick section but he never really liked having a person like that around.

"So we have a job, three days from now you might have heard off during the little convo on the roof but until then lets enjoy our food."

Well, thats what the man would be involved in. Never the boring working hours people get used to. The food would soon arrive and Alan would keep his bright smile on.

For possibly the first time since the pair had met, Lucius would smile... or more accurately, smirk.

"I think I'll follow the majority on this one. Can't be too careful now."

He would listen to the rest of the words (and thoughts) of Alan. Technically, Lucius was becoming a sidekick, whether he or anyone else liked it, and he certainly didn't like it, but it was a start, and all he needed was that: A start, and boy did this give him a good one. There was however a good point to being the sidekick. Lucius could leave Alan to sort out the details which left him with quite a bit of time to plan his steps, and he had a fair few to plan before he could do anything.

"I had a feeling that I might be drawn into that little fiasco. I'll help out how I can... oh... and try not to get killed of course."

Lucius would smile sarcastically sweetly across at Alan. Nothing malicious in it, just Lucius' somewhat juvenile side coming out. The food would soon arrive and set down in front of them; with a smile of course. Lucius would look at the salad briefly before beginning to eat. It was... different... from what he was used to, and luckily, edible.

"So, your car, why is it that it means so much to you?"

A sore point. Almost definitely, though it was something that interested Lucius. He had never had an attachment to anything, so in a way, it was difficult for him to understand, but it was something he wanted to understand.

"My my.... me get killed."

Alan sarcastically followed. His hand slowly working to his place, a bite from the salad another from the main dish and the last from the sweet. Get all the tastes then start with what he like first. The main dish. It was much better to have someone to talk with while having lunch or dinner, it would be better if there were no ultear motives in that lunch or dinner. The problem with the last one was the fact that most of his 'friends' as in the women, had something in there mind. Botox filled, surgery fanatics late early 30s women which wanted something from him this one on the other hand was good.

"The car... well, I guess everyone has a hobby or something he likes to do or look foreward to. That car in my case was my life long hobby~ only the best get to ride in it, specail ordered rims, perfect paint, regularly polished and enhanced engines and machines. I love adustment and beautification and I have the money to do so. The problem is when it get hurt it's the same as an insult, it would atleast require me a large pundle or so to get her back to shape."

Wether it was money or pride or simply a hobby, that car held the prime of his youth and many memories which he loved.

" What do you do as a hobby?"

Surprisingly, the food wasn't actually that bad, in fact, by the main course Lucius was rather enjoying it. He hadn't enjoyed food like this in years... or even ever. His mother was never a great cook, not to mention never having the best ingredients in the world to say the least, and as for his father... well... no explanations needed there.

A hobby... he hadn't really had one of those in years. Well, not unless you counted running across rooftops as a hobby, but that was as close to a hobby as he had. Was rather sad really. Hobbies are activities which quite often define who a person is; Lucius' hobby was merely one necessary to survive.

"Well, I guess my hobby is really just keeping fit... though I do quite like reading, especially crime novels. Helps me to think ahead and to analyse every bit of detail... that and its the one time that the world isn't shouting at me..."

And in truth, that was him. The combination of the two would reveal who he was. Someone who merely wanted to control their powers, training himself both physcially and mentally in the hope that one day he would be able to walk out of the door, not feel everyone's emotions and hear everyone's thoughts, but just be like a normal person. Gazer was temporary, but Lucius Harrow would live on, and in order to do so in comfort, he had to harness his powers.

Lucius would tuck into the main course, again, rather nice considering he had never had such a meal before. He could certainly get used to this... no... we is going to get used, there's nothing which is going to stand in his way. Even if it meant hell to get to where he wants to be, if would all be worth it in the end. After a few minutes he would pipe up again with another question.

"Whats your goal in life? Where do you hope to be come the end?"

A somber question, but one which would tell more personality than anything else, and it would also give Lucius an idea of where he would stand later on with Alan.

Lucius seemed a person who's sole purpose is to survive this world. A little bit of a tough life he is living but still his goals in life must have been much better than Alans. Whether he have a little kid or mother or father to take care off or not unlike Alan who left his economically satisfied parents long ago.

"My goal is living free the way I like. To never be stopped by anything and nothing would stand in the way of what I want."

Thats all and Alan was succeding, Alan was a person who doesnt count his money nor spend it blindedly. He wanted to be a bird, flying across with no restrains or cage that could hold him. Up until now there was no cage that could hold him back but he still couldn't fly freely for some reasons he have yet to know. Alan would remain quite, enjoying his meal while he eyed the place. Not crowded yet not empty, simply peaceful.

"Maybe I'll settle down in a large house with a young beautiful educated and talented women, get a large pundle of kids to go with it and grow old happily but until that time a little danger doesn't hurt."

Alan said what he though his final distination would be, he never really involved himself in the city affairs. He could careless of what happens in the world and people around him. He only cared for what he thought was important to him. What holds value in his eye, enough to bother his mind to take notice.

OOC: Sorry for epically late reply >_<

IC:

Just as Lucius had thought. It wasn't any of this 'saving the world' bull or attempting to follow the masses of failures to try and take it over, it was merely to simply make as close to the perfect life for himself, seemingly no matter the cost. To an extent, Lucius could understand Alan's goal. He would be able to have everything he ever desired, through one shape or form. In that respect, Lucius' goal and Alan's inter-weaved for a brief moment. Up to now, Lucius had nothing. Rarely saw his mother, refused to accept his father, and could count everything he owned on a hand. Lucius however wanted so much more than just some materialistic items. He wanted to prove something to himself, and in turn, to others. That despite everything, he could make it. From no-one to someone.

"Living free the way I like... you and I are very much the same in that respect. Its just a case of obtaining this true freedom."

True freedom. Currently, nothing more than a concept in Lucius' mind. A time when you would be able to do whatever you liked, whenever you liked, and never have to worry about the world. Of course, it was a concept which many already employed in mentality, but never successfully in life.

Lucius would finish his dessert, a rather nice one at that, and relax until the waitress cleaned away his plates, contemplating the potential events which might occur 3 days from then. He could potentially be dead in 3 days... or he could be several hundred thousands richer. His fate rested on the roll of a dice and a man he barely knew.

Alright. Alan readjusted himself as he continued, he wasn't a slow eater but it appears that the person infront of him made his seem as such. Thus Alan hurried up just a tiny little bit, to finish exactly five minutes after the man and five minutes can be considered a long time when eating.

"Any way... that was some good stuff."

Alan left his plates as they were a little bit of everything was still left on the plate. He was full, and started running the tissue on his hands and mouth cleaning what ever might have been on them. Looking back to his front Alan would scummage to his pants and take out his wallet paying the bill as it came and the waitress came and took that little book which they kept the bill inside.

"So back to business... How much do you need to get by for the next three days?"

Alan asked his wallet still half open. Well, the man would soon become his partner and he needed to be well prepared for the event physically and phycologically. Alan slowly calculated the following, an apartment ~ new clothes~ Food and some cash money to get by for the next three days.

"Say.. five hundred?"

Alan took five of those green looking papers and slid them across the table folded. He clearly didn't know how to live for the next three days after all and it was about half of what was in his wallet and such comes the question why is he carrying that much money on him? He never counted money back in his place and wondered how much it would cost to get a new exhaust system or get a new apartment or even travel. A bit impulsive perhaps but he is just a one man and his money is only spent on his satisfaction so it turns out fine.

"That was good to say the least. Will need to remember this place in future. Thank you."

Lucius copied Alan's actions with regards to cleaning himself up before settling down and taking in some of the restaurant itself. It was a nice place, mostly colored neutral but with the occasional splash of red and oranges from paintings and other pieces of artwork. Art does have that way of defining a place and its atmosphere; certain colors enhancing certain moods. Either way, it was a nice change from the browns and grays of the normal West Side.

Nevertheless, he would practically zone out while Alan paid up until he asked the question, breaking out of his daydreamish state. He had no idea how much he'd need. He was able to get away with under $10 if he played his cards right, but even that was a push. When Alan slid across the 5 $100 notes, Lucius couldn't believe it. He had managed to get the occasional $50 if he was lucky but this was unreal.

"Are you sure about this?"

So long as Alan didn't take the notes back, Lucius would slip them into his pocket. He knew exactly what Alan's intentions for them were and he was going to fulfill them for sure. It was about time he got himself cleaned up anyways. First stop. Suit. Second stop. Apartment. Talk about a day of good fortunes. Somehow though Lucius wasn't sure that in 3 days his luck would continue so well...

OOC:I think it's time do the mission/crime. okay?

IC:

"I try my best to do things I don't regret... So just take it."

Alan replied quite normal and relaxed as he stood up. Well, it was about time they leave after all over staying usually leaves a horrible taste in the restaurant staff. Walking out, he would thank the hospitality of the staff and even write down in the guest book.

"Everything was just about right and the place clean, a perfect spot for specail occasions." ~ Alan Quinn

He loved doing that for some reason, leaving a hand print where ever he went. So that he could remember said time and place when he returns to it. Now, that his business is done Alan would most likely head to the garage to see his matters. The man infront of him however needs to get himself ready as such they were most likely going to seperate here and meet later on.

"It was nice meeting you. Lucius."

Alan said standing outside the restaurant, Taking a deep breath as he breathed it out he took his black diary. It's content perhaps the most feared thing for any lover of his and he quikly sliced out a paper.

"We will meet again, 7:00 pm this place... Get ready and fare well."

Alan would then walk into some ally and simply dissapear in a black swirl of feathers.
