All officers, we have reports of glowing, flying perp fleeing the scene of a crime. All units engage with extreme caution, we don't know what the hell this guy is but the brass want him for questioning. Figure out what the hell is going on and bring him in alive!

Alexander sighed and set off running, he still hadn't got his hands on a vehicle of his own, and his partner was off sick today, so he would need to find this man on foot. Luckily Uptown was fairly well planned out, and moving around it even on foot was easy enough for one who knew their way around. A man flying wreathed in purple light isn't exactly the hardest thing to spot in the world, and it wasn't long before Alexander found what he was looking for with the aid of other officers on his radio.

Alexander checked the area nearby for other officers, and finding none he threw his arm up towards the man in the air and cast a bolt of white light forth, aiming to at least force the man to ground himself, as Alexander couldn't fly while in his police gear, especially if other officers were heading to the scene. No, Alexander just needed to keep this man in place long enough for reinforcements to arrive, and he'd likely get himself one step closer to finally having a damn car.

Marcus hovered through the air, still cursing the man from his last encounter-a manhole covering had been thrown at him, clipping his thigh and making any kind of leg-based movement difficult. Luckily, Marcus had discovered a new means of travel soon after-apparently, he could fly.

He would probably be enjoying it a bit more, in hindsight, if he weren't in pain.

And then, on top of that, he was apparently being attacked again! He had just enough time to notice the light and start a swear before the light struck his body, cancelling his own light and sending his body to the ground. Marcus threw his hand out, creating a flash of light that made him hover momentarily, and then fell the rest of the way. It still hurt, but he wasn't dead or anything, so...win. AND he's a cop! What the hell?! I don't know anything about these freaks, then I run into three the same day I figure my own stuff out?! Screw this!

Marcus, lying prone on the ground, punched forward, releasing a arc of purple electricity that would race across the ground towards his assailant. He couldn't afford to be held up any longer.

Alexander had kind of expected this man to be able to stop himself from dying from the impact, he could fly in the first place though, but having him grounded was his intention so it all went well. Well enough at least until the man threw a bolt of purple lightning (Which, to be honest even knowing people like him existed, he still found weird, lightning is white not purple...) tearing along the ground straight towards him. Alexander threw all his weight to the side and rolled out of the way of the blast, drawing his handgun and holding it aimed at the downed man, "Freeze and don't try that again, you're under arrest if you like it or not. Either you come with me now or I make it so you come with me if you like it or not, you're choice!"

Alexander would keep his gun trained on his target regardless of their reaction, "Alexander, this many is of no consequence to you. You have other things to focus on, leave him be." "Working on foot is hard if I am to complete my purpose, this man's capture will be the first step towards bringing anarchy to this city, worry not my lady."/i] This short exchange would make a slight opening for his foe, but Alexander had little control over Anarchy, so all he could do was hope his opponent wouldn't notice in time to capitalise on it.

Marcus wouldn't notice any inner dialogues, nor would he care-what he cared about was that gun being pointed at him. The lightning had missed-that trick wouldn't work again, most likely. Additionally, his opponent could do light too...Marcus was already injured and exhausted on top of that. He would have to fight smart-and, more importantly, he'd have to escape. He was in no condition to actually fight competently for an extended period of time, but at the same time, he had no intention of being captured.

Marcus was still lying prone on the ground, and looked desperately towards his opponent. The electricity missed-but there was fire near him, caused by the electricity burning the grass. Fire that, for some reason, seemed to be glowing purple. Marcus stared intently at the fire, willing it to get brighter-he wanted to blind the man. Instead, the fire erupted into a man-sized plume of flame right next to the officer.

Marcus hadn't even been expecting that, so it was very unlikely that the cop was. Marcus would take the distraction the flames would produce to create light around his lower body, and then make that light zip along the ground, thus propelling his own body. Escape was the name of the game today.

Alexander kept his pistol trained on his target, only noticing out of the corner of his eye that the fire besides him was growing brighter. It was enough to put off his aim, so Alexander went to move forward in order to get clear of the light to regain his aim when suddenly the small fire burst into a great pillar of flame beside him, forcing him to drop his gun and roll out of the way. His gun was too close to the fire to be recovered just yet, and when he righted himself Alexander saw the man flying off in the opposite direction, attempting to escape him. "I don't think so matey."

Wreathing himself in light, Alexander took off flying just above the ground, hot in pursuit of his target. He had to keep an eye out though, to be caught using his powers while in uniform would certainly harm his credibility as a member of the force, and that was the last thing he wanted. He had to force the man he was chasing to stop running so as to allow him to stop using his powers in case he was seen, so he flew up just a few metres and threw three blasts of light in quick succession, two aimed ahead of the man and one aimed at him. Throwing three blasts so quickly together caused a passing wave of exhaustion to come over him, forcing him to end his flight and land skidding on the ground.

As the exhaustion passed, Alexander would judge his actions based on his target's next move, should they try to flee he had little choice but to pursue them again, but if they'd just stand and fight like he wanted he could draw his combat knife and get into this properly. However this went down was up to the man Alexander was chasing, though neither of them would be able to stop and think forever, there were other police looking for the Marcus, and Alexander didn't want to be caught using his powers around them, so either way they were going to need to find a method to bring this to its conclusion before it all went to hell.

OOC: Note a hint to start wrapping this up, it kinda reads like that to me, just fluff mostly, so ignore that end bit mate^^

Marcus wasn't paying attention to the man behind him-he was completely focused on escape. So, when the blasts of light came raining down around him, he was caught completely off guard. Marcus crashed to the ground, panting heavily as he laid there. It seemed a fight was on his hands-there was nothing for him to do but keep the fight going. Or, better yet-to end the fight here and now.

Marcus looked over his shoulder at his advancing opponent with an expression that was unmistakably dangerous. If his opponent got close enough, he'd be able to see Marcus' eyes glowing purple as Marcus let loose an animalistic growl. From the man's body, flashes of light and electricity would randomly pour forth, causing fires and damage to the surrounding area-and pain to anyone unfortunate enough to be close to him.

This display couldn't last very long though-Marcus was fast running out of energy; he'd have trouble escaping at this rate.
