At the sight of the balls, Phil's eyes narrowed and his fists clenched. The muscles in his legs were tightened and one corner of his mouth was rising up, forming a snarl against his will. Phil raised his hand, a sign to the surrounding birds that they could land there. One bird did, and landed on his finger. Phil instantly relaxed-he took the bird's sight. He couldn't go wrong with sight. "That wasn't funny." Phil was tempted to reach out and touch this newcomer, but she would probably know he was coming before he even decided on it-and, unfortunately, that light of hers was solid enough to hold her. Therefore, it was more than solid enough to hold Phil back. "Those are interesting...umm...question, do your powers ever go away?" |

Leila's eyes widened with awe and curiosity. She sighed- this was a lot to take in. "It is very nice to speak face to face. It doesn't seem so...invasive." As the light formed into balls Leila shook her head and couldn't completely wrap her head around it so she sat down on the bench. Her hearing was still heightened and by the sound of it the birds were chatting away about this and that. It got a little annoying but she dealt with it. Making sure no one was eavesdropping was important, though the more she thought about someone eavesdropping on them the more ridiculous it sounded. Why would it matter if someone eavesdropped? "Alright. I'm gonna need a further, more detailed explanation of your powers, my powers, and quite frankly this whole friggin situation. I apologize, but this is all still a little weird for me." Leila did giggle while she spoke because it sounded like, once again, a TV show. And because well, she was playing with Phil...heh "playing" was quite literally the perfect word to use. She turned to look up at Alairis looking for answers that she hoped she would receive. |

Alairis smirked a bit at Phil’s reaction, but slowly let her balls of light fade away into nothing. “Oh, but it is.” She giggled a bit then got more serious. “You must learn to control your powers and not let them control you.” Her eyes flicked between the two of them. “Your weaknesses will be exploited by those who wish to hurt you.” She already knew Phil’s intention as soon as he thought it up. In fact she’d almost predicted it a bit. He would find band of light wrapping around his arm and holding him in place. It wasn’t painful or anything, but he wasn’t going to get any closer to her just yet . “Sit.” She nodded towards the bench where Leila was. She probably needed a little of his comfort right then. Moving closer, Alairis let her mind wander out a bit. Keeping a vigilance of their surroundings. If anyone came close, she would probably know far sooner than they would. “No, I’ve had most of my powers since I was a young girl. For me it appears to be a genetic thing, since my grandmother was also a light user. Though she wasn’t very powerful. I am also a healer.” She said glancing at the girl. Her demands weren’t exactly pleasing, but Alairis could understand how overwhelming things were at the moment. Still, it was far better they had come in contact with her than some of the… other supers out there. Alairis wasn’t going to get any more detailed than that. Not on the first meeting. “I don’t know much about your powers, yet. You’ll have to be the ones to see just where your limits lay. As for the situation…” She stopped and pondered. “Its complicated.” “This city is not exactly friendly to the likes of us.” Alairis said as she stood before them. “Or rather humans in general. They don't take well to... differnt." She warned. “So don’t let yourself get caught, and especially don’t get caught using powers. Keep your identity hidden." There was a long pause as she shifted through her memories. Just too many unanswered questions. “As supers, we are targets. No matter if we do good things or bad things.” Edited by AleenaGrey, Sep 2 2010, 08:48 PM.

Alan had just gotten himself out of that burger house without getting involve with the crazy psychopath that started to kill people. Ofcourse Alan pushed a knife into his throat before leaving and took the extra large bottle of coke along with him but no one could really point that out and if anything was such it was in self defense if not annoyance. He was too far from being a good guy but yet he couldn't simply be a bad guy as it was too much of a sin to handle for Alan mental situation. He wasn't exactly sick but since that occation Alan had this sinster feelings, just like someone or thing was waiting for Alan to slip and he would take his position but it reallly has been a while. He was looking upward, spacing out as he always did looking at the skys blue, the birds peaks and a lady decending from heavens from a far far distance... Alan rubbed his eyes with his sleeves before looking again. He couldn't believe what he saw yet it wasn't too far off from Alan himself, he couldn't believe how that lady used her powers that she have in the public yet when he looked around not many really were thier... perhaps they didn't notice her or is it just human nature to ignore what they don't like. "Oooh Pretty." He headed off toward that spot not like normal people would do not at all he puffed into smoke and appeared toward that direction he thought he had seen a flying girl, with the simple thought in his mind but right before that he slipped on his ring and changed to his custome in a mist of purple ofcourse it was similar to a smoke bomb but then a very small one which won't attract attention but either way Alan slipped on his rings inside a bush just to make sure... He was curiouse about what he just saw and thus he needed to get thier quick and thats why he would teleport since thier is nothing much more faster than that... is thier? It has been a long time since he saw others like him beside the freak with his elemental powers, the man with his freaking shape shifting among a few others he had met. It was clear that people like them he would no longer meet in this life. They were after all a bad company to stay with, espicailly that stuiped brat who couldn't keep his powers in check. Alan could easily tell that he was neither welcomed nor shunned upon perhaps they were not ready, a dog soon passed by. Well, that wasn't something out of the ordinary but still Alan shrugged. He would soon be able to view a group of three. One of them was the lady with light orbs that simply vanished away the moment he looked, Alan however didn't interfere... No, he sat on a near by bench looking at those. It has been a long time since I met people like me... Alan make sure to not scare them away He grinned to himself. Phil didn't find the dog command humorous in the slightest. Even so, he sat-with this solid light around him, there wasn't much he could do. Besides, he was sure there were others like her, who were maybe easier to get a hold of. A puff of smoke to the side distracted Phil-he normally wouldn't have taken notice, but it was hard to fool this eyesight of his. "We have company." I need something more useful than this...c'mon, please! It doesn't hurt! You won't even feel anything. I just...I really need to do something with this. Plus, there's this new guy...who knows what he's like, I might have to help you defend us! Also, also...I'll never learn about my power if the only power I can get my hands on is one that fades away after a little bit for even the original user! Not fair! Phil was distressed, of course. He was constrained, he was sitting, he knew someone new was in the area...and yet, he couldn't do anything. Besides...it could be your duty or something to teach us. We have to have these powers for a reason, yano? |

Alairis released her hold on Phil when he sat down. He sure was an eager fellow wasn’t he? Yet her attention was yanked away from him as another mind just popped into her sensing range. Literally… just poof and it was there. Dark eyes snapped over on to the individual while she heard Phil whining in the back of her mind. ‘Oh quit you’re wining and have patience!’ She snapped at him angrily. She rolled her eyes a bit and continued to observe this new person. As to who he was, she didn’t have the faintest clue. The costume though and his sudden appearance made it quite evident he was a super, however. She was focused on this new potential threat. Trying to gauge if he was going to be trouble or not. At the very list Phil and Leila’s identies might be at risk. “And who would you be?” She asked in a neutral tone. Alairis waited a few moments before she reached an arm back towards fill, letting him try and absorb her powers if he could. She wasn’t exactly pleased with the audience, but if she needed back up… he might be of use. Hard to say with a newbie. |

Phil didn't have to be told-his hand shot forward and he absorbed...something from Illuminatra. That signature spark happened, but Phil couldn't be sure what he took. So, he experimented. He didn't hear any errant thoughts, so he doubted it was that. Light then? How did you do it? I didn't see any motions, it just looked like you thought about it and it-whoa, hey there. Phil had answered his own question. Initially, it was just a light flash from his palms, but a more focused attempt would produce a soft glow, and then finally a solid orb of blue light. Phil let the light disperse, then called forth roughly ten of the light balls, and then started juggling them-made considerably easier by the fact that he could control their movements with his mind. "Hey...this is pretty easy, actually." Phil let the balls disperse though, and stood up-he was ready for combat, now that he had a power that he was capable of beating down with. What if he attacks? What should I do? What am I capable of? |

Alan didn't or rather phantom may have not been so aware of the fact that everyone in this group was a super in one way or another. Well, that wasn't the case when the light ropes around the only male on the ground dissappeared. It was an intresting group and even though he was asked a simple question he didn't answer yet. He stood up and slowly walked toward the group as the boy on the ground and out of the blues has made light orbs in his hands. Pretty fancy... I wonder what abilities can that power have? Phantom smiled as he came closer the man seemed ready for battle. Well, it would be of no foul if he allowed this man to express his abilities or atleast show Alan what he was capable off. A short combat practice won't hurt. right? I mean they all seem like good supers in heart. "Phantom." Saying that as his hand went to his pocket and from thier he would get his notebook and pen, opening it he would start to scribble down some thoughts well mainly bullet points. -Three people, two expressed supers ability, a hot lady seemed to lead them, the other two seems new to this.- Well, Alan was writing it down but in essence he wasn't exactly sure if this group would be of any use in his future. "You seem eager to fight me with whatever you have...." Phantom for the first time spoke a sentence, sounding like the bad guy all of a sudden. Well, he wanted to know how strong is this group and if they are of any use then knowing them might not be a waste of time and that guy seemed to need some combat practice. "Try it." He ordered with a smile from the devil. He was however ready to react, beside it wouldn't be good if he actually died from such an encounter and such reasons although he hasn't met anyone who could have beaten him, perhaps he never met the right people. Alairis was keeping a close tabs on the man’s mind, which he was obviously unaware of. He wasn’t a telepath at least or one of those mind blockers. She wouldn’t have heard anything if he was. She was also keeping some of her attention on Phil. Considering he’d just acquired one of her powers. Which, she wasn’t sure at first. That was till he managed to make a bit of light. ‘It’s all in the mind.’ She told him. True she used hand motions to direct her light weaving, but that was more for effect than anything. Her eyebrow twitched a bit as she observed his doings a little longer. He was doing what had taken a good deal of her childhood years to master in just seconds. To say the least it perturbed her. She grumbed a bit but remained quiet as this new comer started to approach. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a spar mask she always kept. Tossing it at Phil. It probably wouldn’t make a whole lot of difference, but she felt better knowing he had it. ‘Think of it like putty. You can shape it into anything. It has no real limits.’ She thought at him. ‘Use it for a shield if you have too.’ So his name was Phantom. She could kinda see why, proofing out of nowhere like he did. Alairis did find a brief moment of amusement when he called her the ‘Hot lady’ in his mind. Of course she wasn’t going to let him know she’d heard it. ‘He seems to want a sparing practice?’ She thought at her two companions. He didn’t seem particularly hostile, other than the façade he was showing. She was almost tempted to take him up on his offer. “Eagerness and caution are two separate things, Phantom.” She said relaxing the tension and loosening her body a bit. “They call me Illuminatra.” Alairis glanced back at Phil. If he wanted to lead things off, she’d let him. He needed practice, and she would be there to make sure nothing got out of hand. Edited by AleenaGrey, Sep 7 2010, 04:55 PM.

Phil caught the mask, but immediately let it fall. Instead, solid light surrounded his face, obscuring it from vision. Ok then...if he wants to fight, let's go! Phil pushed a wave of light at this "Phantom" individual. It would be a solid wall of light travelling over the ground, as if he threw a door at Phantom. He would follow it up with a pulse of light from each hand, each launching as if it were a cannon-though, Phil doubted it was as powerful as one. He looked back at Leila-she was sitting there, watching. Probably best, since he didn't know how useful her power would be in combat...that is, unless she could find a bear or something. How's that? |

Phantom kept his composure, as the man sent a whole freaking wall of light against him. Well, it was testing time for Alan... At first he checked if he could manipulate it. On that split second of testing it was confirmed that manipulating the light wall was utter failure, then he decided to go make a wave of his own perhaps a wall made of his mind just like the push he developed that time but on a larger area, it wasn't going ot be strong but he would try his luck. Phantom placed both his hand infront of him and then connecting them with both his hands with his thumb and finger he sent out a wave of teleknetic energy immitating the wall in size. He would wait for it to collide noticing that even though he couldn't manipulate the light itself he could alter it from the out side. Phantom thought of it similar to a balloon full of water, even though he can't control the water inside the balloon he could easily change it's course and shape by controlling the balloon rubber shell. The collision was pretty indeed although it didn't happen as the shockwave passed through the wall of light he even doubted they saw anything collide with the wall or pass it, He even wondered if they could even see him behind that wall which obscured his own vision... But as soon as that light wall passed Alan striking him down to the floor he was faced with two light balls heading toward him, Well since he didn't move from his place those balls were aimed at him. They were fast and didn't allow Alan to do much with his teleknesis even though they were useless due to the fact that manipulating the outer shell is much more difficult than the alternative which wasn't possible at the case of light. "Nice to meet you, Illuminatra." Phantom replied as the light balls would simply go through him as though he was a phantom or a progected image of such. the two light cannons were solid indeed and thus Alan could phase through them as a last resort incase he needed such things. Alan could have always poofed out of being the target but for information purposes Alan simply needed to check his choices and get a first hand experience. The sound of the impact made Alan turn his head, it seems the bench phantom previously sat on his been damaged a bit. Alan wondered if he would have actually gotten hurt if he was hit by one of those light cannons. This guy is either new at this or... perhaps that was the limit of his fire power? "My turn." The previouse smile fainted into a smirk, lowering his left hand Alan with his right would with two fingers togather motion upward. Delivering a punch to the gut of the boy hoping to send him tolling over... He would wait till the boy would try something out to check if the light could function under sudden pain, or surprise. The punch would be similar to Phantom himself punching him, infact it was too similar in affect that phantom by this time could imagine a shadow of his own infront of the man, an imaginary one in that. It was as though he had a duplicate that would follow his commands. This was all testing, Alan would never really think of dealing damage to the man or to his manlyhood. {Edit} I changed the out come to me getting hit with the wall of light and being hit, since I didn't know that Teleknesis couldn't do anything against light manipulation. (ooc: Telekinesis doesn’t affect energy based powers at all, including Light Manipulation. So yeah…) Phil’s control over Alairis’ power was getting to be quite irritating. He was able to produce what had taken her months days or years of practice to do. ‘It’s just his power, it’s just his power… it’s just his power.’ She said over and over again as she bit back her jealousy. Phantoms wave of psychic energy had no effect on the light wall. The wall continued to push onward so it would be up to the man to move or get hit. His choice. Alairis was taking more of a passive role in this little fighting session of theirs, at least when compared to Phil. She wanted to see just where his boundaries were. Her eyes narrowed a bit in thought. This man had quite the collection of powers it seems. Telekinetic, if she’d read his thoughts correctly, now a phaser, and some other power that allowed him to poof out of nowhere. This was going to be a very different sort of power battle. Alairis took a deep breath. She was about to try something very different than she had done before. This guy was a challenge, and fighting head on probably wasn’t going to do any good against him. So, she was going to change the ‘field’ to their favor. Her hands dropped down towards her hips and slowly began to rise as she concentrated. Drawing power from the light of the sun and herself. As her hands rose, so did several hundred softball sized balls of light out of the ground. Scattered across the field and several around each of them. Now she had means to react as quickly as she sensed his intents. |

Phil didn't have time to celebrate over his connection with the target-he had already counterattacked, and some of Phil's attacks hadn't even worked. What's worse, was that Phil couldn't see this man's attacks...which interested him greatly. It also gave him an idea. From the ground, Phil reached one hand up, taking a leaf from Illuminatra's page in using his hands to greater facilitate his focusing. A cloud of blue light, as bright as Phil could make it, would be formed, right around Phantom's head, hopefully blinding him to any future assault. Phantom may have been able to dodge almost any attack, but Phil doubted he could know to dodge an attack he didn't see coming. What the hell was that? It felt like he punched me, but he wasn't anywhere close. Phil rose to his feet, looking around in wonder of Illuminatra's show. That's actually pretty cool...I don't think I can do that one though. Just the stuff I'm doing now is exhausting. Phil couldn't lie to himself-he wanted that power. The ability to strike invisibly at his opponents...that was a covetous ability. How strong is your light? Do you think you could throw me at him if we can guarantee he'll stay still, or at least get him in one spot for a few seconds? |

The man reached his hand out, for some reason that made Alan sadistic side to reveal itself. As the light was about to form the fingers on the hand would be bent back... It was similar to what school boys did when they had too much time. They tested thier strength and pain absorbtion but the thing in this that was different that Alan couldn't exactly feel if the man fingers were about to pop out of thier socket or not thus he could only rely on the man facail expression, this ofcourse was a test too. He wondered if the man using light would still be able to hold onto the bright light that was starting to cover Alan sight, the more it covered the more the pain and degree of power placed on bending would be. In the end and right before Alan sight would be totally covered the fingers of the man would surely touch the back of it's hand ofcourse that would only be if Alan sight was starting to go nil. "Now now... You can't expect someone like me to allow such tactics." Phantom said in a merry tone as he looked at Illuminatra, it was a bit of a long name... He would need something much easier to remember later. In few moments Phantom would hum and then clap his hand like he just caught something. "Whats your name?" He said while looking around ofcourse the number of balls around him seemed to increase or maybe he didn't pay much attention to them. Those would be dangerouse to be hit with and really painful too. It would be rather frantic to try and overpower these two.... I don't even want to fight this girl, I would rather invite her to dinner. Alan was wondering if these guys would be good people to know, It also seemed that this boy was new to this. Then he would poof, and appear right infront of Illuminatra. He only wished to get a good look on her face that was the only thought in his mind at that moment and the rest was done just like walking Ofcourse the man was not free to do what he wanted, he would find himself flat on the ground as Alan "pushed" a strong current of teleknesis at his chest... The same way people played football a direct tackle. "Are these two new to being... you know like us?" Alan pointed at phil, then back at himself he has yet to descover that this girl infront of him could read his thoughts. |

‘He’s a telekinetic.’ Alairis answered for Phil. ‘He uses his mind, but he’s no mind reader.’ She felt a little smug satisfaction when he admitted he couldn’t do what she was doing. Good, she had to one-up him somehow. His thought about throwing him though, didn’t seem like that great of a plan. Not like they had many plans. ‘You’ll probably end up on your ass again.’ She admitted to him. When he started to get a little more harsh towards her new protige, Alairis wasn’t at all amused. Her fingers splayed wide on her hands as he was distracted attacking Phil. Imidiately all her lightballs began to shift and change. Little tendrils zipping out like sharp feelers all around the man and any area she thought he might poof too. The braches arched out in every direction, interconnecting her light balls like a kind of neural network. Light pulsating through the lines and branches so fast it was dizzying and distracting. It was also quite exhausting for Alairis. But hopefully that would give Phil some time to do something. Alairis flinched when he appeared right in front of her. Her eyes narrowing a bit. “A tad bit, and I would appreciate it if you didn’t try to break them in the hard way.” The word ‘break’ was stressed with a bit of annoyance. Of course she knew she could heal Phil later, but she didn’t want this man getting carried away. As she felt the drain on her body, the man watching might notice something a bit different happening. A couple strands of her hair were starting to pale from black to grey. It was a slow change, but a familiar one to Alairis. One of the prices of being a light manipulator, your body bleached out. Hence why she had purple dyed into her hair to hide the pale color. Which left her a bit curious if Phil would have any affects like that, being a power barrower and all. |

The pain was something, that was for sure. Phil felt like his fingers were about to break-however, as strong as his opponent's mind was, Phil knew it could be fought. Phil pushed light back on his own fingers, with greater force than his opponent could display. Similarly to how Phantom couldn't affect Phil's light, he figured his light couldn't affect Phantom's telekinesis-however, his light could affect his fingers. As the fingers righted themselves, Phil felt a force collide with his chest, and he immediately put up a shield of light behind him to keep himself from flying backwards from the force of what felt like a mental tackle. Noted. You may want to close your eyes. And maybe duck. Phil was already exerting too much effort keeping his body together-he couldn't produce any additional light. So, he did the next best thing. A ball behind Phantom changed colors, from white to blue, and then launched at the back of Phantom's head. In the meantime, Phil launched himself toward Phantom by pushing against himself hard with his shield of light. As he flew for Phantom, he could let go of his other forms of light, using his newfound lack of concentration-required actions to make flash after flash of the brightest light he could manage right in front of Phantom's face. All in all, Phantom was getting a bright blue light flashed into his eyes every few seconds, a light ball he couldn't have seen was coming for the back of his head, and Phil was sailing towards him, intent on colliding with the telekinetic-he'd only need a second or two of contact. As for Illuminatra's hanging light balls in the air, as Phil approached one, they'd turn blue and lose their solidarity, before returning to their solid and white forms after Phil passed through them. He was learning. If you won't toss me, I'll try it myself then! |

Phantom right after teleporting felt like pocking his eyes out, it was truely annoying all these light balls running after him in a frenzy. As his hands went to cover his eyes Alan was on automatic phase mode, as in there is a differenece between being scared or being careless. He couldn't know what but something had passed him making the ghostly figure appear much more sinster than before. Okay, enough with this light... it's getting annoying to my eyes. The man would face plant himself into the ground, as he tried to fly tackle phantom phased body. It ws weird but at this stage this boy had a bit of a fight in him. That was good, in the long run he may be useful and beside that Alan was starting to get a bit on the angry side. "Okay, I think it's time to stop." Alan said expecting the lady to stop her balls, if she didn't phantom would sennd his hand out to her insides. "I don't need to break anyone, right?" Phantom smiled, It was a bluff but he didn't know that she could read his mind. After all big men fainted when his ghostly figure entered thier chest it would be fatal, on another hand Alan would then remove his hand and place it on her shoulder then he would quickly unphase and phase. It would be useless if he was alone but now he would phase himself and the lady infront. Ofcourse thier was always the fact he may get a few zip balls in his gut but then after that Alan knew that she was in his district. The lady should now lose her ability to flight... as her body would then become phasable. Phantom even thought about inserting half her body into the ground but it was a bit too much after all they seemed like good intelligent people. "Right?" Phantom said with a smile as he would remove his hand, unphasing her back by losing contact with her. |

Phil was nutty. That much was becoming obvious to Alairis. Nutty, but he was certainly creative. That much she could give him. When the Phantom called a stop, she thought it was for the best. She was growing pretty tired of this little sparing thing, not to mention just plain tired. She’d used a lot of power so far. Alairis watched the man as she let some of her light fade, but still kept a few balls hanging about. Just to err on the side of caution. Her eyebrow twitched in annoyance when he tried bluffing her again. He certainly liked doing that. She did not exactly like it when he started phasing through her. She flinched slightly when he first started, but it was not her first experience with a phaser. She stared him right in the eye, her face looking quite annoyed, but unafraid. “If you try bluffing me again like you have been, you’ll truly find out what I am capable of.” She said calmly, but sternly. “Remove your hands, please.” If he didn’t, he would find an image of him knocked onto his ass by an unseen force forced into his mind. |

When Phil landed through his opponent, he realized something-a direct attack was completely ineffective, but distractions didn't work either, since this guy phased anytime anything at all happened. Phil climbed to his feet and watched the exchange between Illuminatra and Phantom. Phantom was intent on Illuminatra-that gave Phil a slight advantage. The fight, however, was apparently over. At least, that's what Phantom said right before plunging his hand through Illuminatra's chest...mixed signals, to be sure. Phil would be patient though. He waited until Phantom removed his hand, and then shot his own hand forward, aiming for the back of Phantom's neck. Phantom, of course, was watching Illuminatra-he couldn't have known Phil was still trying to touch him. In fact, he had no idea what Phil touching him would do, so he had no reason at all to avoid the smallest of contacts. Phil wouldn't even attack. He would wait. If Phantom wasn't solid, that meant he likely couldn't feel anything when he phased-including a hand waiting in his hair. The instant Phantom went solid again, Phil would feel it, due to his hand waiting by Phantom's hair, and would immediately snap forward. He didn't even need a long contact-just half a second would work fine. If this fails...I've only got one more plan. |

Alan didn't know what the lady ment at first was it that clear that he was bluffing? It can't be right... Or else Phantom would have been a bad actor at some point. This was the first time Alan got mentally attacked by a power, it felt weird seeing things that didn't happen to him in real life but that also made him flinch his hand backward as he stepped back. He walked backward not knowing who was behind him but that mental seen made him on his edge, even if it was useless Alan was in his phasing mode. In the retraction of his arm and stepping back Alan would pass through another person not knowing that he was behind him, that really wasn't fair. Since the spar was over yet... this boy felt like he could get an advantage by sending a sneak attack at his back. There were many people with different powers, which means this boy could have something much more dangerouse in his palm that Alan won't allow happening. "What were you trying to do?" The boy would feel his legs and arms sticking togather, just like a magnet before he would be pushed to the side. After Alan made sure he was safe and further away from him by teleporting himself. Alan then looked up into her eyes, then he smiled. "I see, you got other powers too.... thats why you knew everything I was doing." Phantom placed his hand under his chin just like a detective still not allowing phil to move freely. "Mind reader?" Alan said, just because it was the closest he could think off. He was never that invovled into comics thus he needed someone else to help him out with the names. |
