To say Alairis was exhausted, was an understatement. She somehow managed to drag herself home after that rat ordeal, bath, and land in bed. Where she pretty much stayed for the entire week. Thank goodness her mother opted to bring food to her ‘sick’ daughter, else she wouldn’t have bothered. The kitchen was, after all, down stairs and farther than she thought her tired body could go.

She flipped through the TV stations via the remote. It seems that her latest two adventures had somehow made it to the News. Nothing big, mind you, but enough of a news blip she could recognize it. It was strange, knowing the real stories behind it. Thankfully they didn’t seem to mention just who the two supers were in either. That suited her just fine. The less people who recognized her, the less problems there were.

Alairis didn’t want people’s attention. She just wanted to be left alone.

Shutting off the TV, she climbed stiffly out of bed. Slowly making her way to her window seat. Plopping down she stared out at the city. 'I never realized how many bad supers were out there.' She thought absently. How many had she seen now? At least 3 if not 4 or more.

That was a lot for just a couple of month’s time. ‘I wonder if the number has grown, or am I just paying more attention?’ She didn’t know the answer to that one. Sure she’d had her powers for quite some time, but they were just for her amusement. She’d never really thought about using them for other people.

She pondered that for a few more moments. Most of her power uses had indeed been for her own gain. Not stealing or any worse than trespassing a time or two. Still, she’d never actively helped anyone else with her abilities. Not like she had when she saved those children or later had to fight those filthy rats. It had her a bit confused. She’d liked helping, though hating the situations entirely.

‘Surely the Heros have to out-number the villains?’ She thought about it more, and again had no answer. ‘The hero’s always beat the bad guys thought. That’s like… that’s like a must in all the movies or books.’ She didn’t want to remind herself that those were stories and not nessiarily real life.

Alairis made a little ball of light and played with it absently. It changed colors as her moods shifted. Even as she threw it a couple of times to bounce around her room and then return to her hand to do so again.

OOC: Light blue is projected thoughts. *nods

Ali would hear a knocking sound at her door, but when she opened it, would find nothing. It was at that moment that she would hear it. Phil's voice in her head.

I'm up here. Whenever you're ready, head up.

Phil was hovering above her house, hiding inside one of the clouds. He had found Ali's home almost by accident-he had been flying nearby, and was suddenly drawn to the place. His new power kicking in, no doubt. When he searched the place mentally, he felt emotions and thoughts that felt very familiar. Finally, he could "hear" her voice in his head as she went through her thoughts-it was kind of funny how easy it was.

Her thoughts though made Phil have some thoughts of his own-just how many like them were actually out there? And how many were like Phil and Ali, on the good side? How many weren't? The thoughts made Phil a bit uneasy, but that could have just been Ali's emotions talking.

Don't make me wait.

Alairis grumbled and sighed when there was a knock at her door. She contemplated ignoring it in hopes it would go away, but it might be her mother and she would start to worry if Alairis didn’t answer it. Climbing to her feet she shuffled slowly to her door and opened it to find…. No one. She blinked in confusion as she glanced to either side of her door. “Eh?”

Then a familiar voice filtered into her thoughts. A voice that she hardly thought twice about blocking out and thus… it had to be him? It seems he was getting stronger if he could contact her so easily. Even when she had a mild shield up.

Glancing up she didn’t see him on the ceiling and didn’t sense him on the roof. He seemed higher, like he was flying. Heck he probably was. ‘So you managed to fly without killing yourself firs? Congrats.’

Alairis snorted and raised an eyebrow in his general direction. ‘Cheh. It’s a guy’s job to wait on a woman.’ She shot back as she moved about her room. Pulling on a hoody and her mask. She almost walked out without her shoes and had to double back. Shoving them on her feet she climbed into her window. Creating a light shaped ‘surfboard’. Stepping onto to it she shot upwards into the sky. It was fairly easy to home onto his thoughts in order to find him. ‘Long time no see’. She thought at him with a slightly miffed grin.

The moment she was in range stared picking random emotions to ‘feel’ in order to mess with him.

When Ali arrived, it seemed she was trying to take advantage of Phil's empathy. He smiled and shook his head when the random emotions didn't overwhelm him. Nice try, but all my tricks have gotten better.

Half to demonstrate, and half to mess with her, Phil focused on one of the random emotions she flashed through, and elevated it tremendously, demonstrating that he could at least somewhat control what she felt.

"That's a new trick..I've actually got a lot of new tricks. I might show you sometime."

Phil turned around and started flying north, completely unaided by any kind of object. He wondered if Ali might have been jealous of his ability to fly the way he did.

"I'm not entirely sure where to go or what to do...got any ideas?"

Alairis looked curious and slightly miffed as he started messing with HER emotions. Though oddly enough he picked her playful one to tweak. “Nifty.” She said. Not that she needed anyone else playing with her emotions. That already happened monthly against her will.

She slid down to sit on her board of light. Swinging her legs back and forth absently as she studied him hovering in the air. It was rather cool actually. It struck her as amusing how unphased she was sitting up in the air having a conversation with somebody. What a weird world they were living in.

Shrugging she trailed after him. “I donno. You’re the one that came-a-calling. Figured you had another plan or whatnot. Though it better not involve rats this time.” At the thought of rats she shivered and shot a glare at him.
