OOC: I shall be npcing this one myself. ^_^

IC:

Phil reached in his bag and pulled on his mask-he'd do this one right. He zipped up his jacket, flipped his hood up, and proceeded into the house, telekinetically pushing it open as he pulled one of his guns to his hand from his pocket. He steadily walked down the hall, focusing on the rage he felt-at any sign of a spike, he needed to get moving. He would look down a hall, mentally say Clear and move on.

C'mon...where the hell is he?

Phil started swinging doors open randomly, looking for any kind of emotional reaction-there was nothing. I know he's here...I...stairs...Phil only just now noticed that the house he had entered was multi-storied. His target was likely upstairs. I'll stop it this time.

As he climbed the stairs, he applied pressure to the bottom of each stair as he reached it, hoping that would be enough to prevent any creaking. The feeling of rage was getting closer-it took all Phil had to not charge ahead-and then he heard it. A scream, coming from one of the rooms. Losing all sense of care, Zaulyl abandoned his focus on the stairs and broke into a run, flinging open the door he heard the scream come from as he went.

When he arrived, his heart would skip a beat-there he was. The man from the picture-the exact same man. He had looked back at the door when it opened, and now he and Zaulyl were standing there, face to face-and in his palm, there was a knife.

"DROP IT!"

Zaulyl lifted his gun at the man, but he wouldn't wait to get arrested-the man turned tail and ran. He leapt-Through the window? We're on the second story!

Zaulyl ran up to the window and looked down at the yard below-the man was already jumping the fence and taking off. He looked back, making sure that the woman was ok (which, thankfully, other than being shaken up, she was), and made his own leap of faith to the ground below.

As he fell, Zaulyl would frantically push up on his body with telekinesis, doing his very best to NOT experience a harsh, painful landing at the end. It would work, to an extent-he certainly landed much softer than he should have, but under no circumstances was that flight. Unfortunately, he also landed in the broken glass from the man's previous fall, but that could, and would have to be, dealt with later.

Zaulyl gave pursuit to the man, mentally removing the few shards of glass that found their way into his knee-and making a mental note to call Ali when this was done. His legs hurt, but he'd force them to move even if they didn't want to-this guy couldn't get away with it again. Who was it this time? Obviously she knew him. No signs of forced entry...it doesn't matter. I stopped it. Nothing else matters.

As he reached the fence, he pushed off the ground, allowing him to clear the fence without slowing down-he'd need all the speed he could get. This balding, middle aged man was deceptively fast. He won't be escaping me though. Not today.

When the man ducked behind a house, Zaulyl was close behind, forcing his legs to move faster and farther with telekinesis-it hurt, but it was one of those necessary evils.

As Zaulyl rounded the corner, he froze-Where the hell...where did he go? The man was nowhere to be seen. He can't just turn invisi...well...I suppose he COULD...Seemingly from pure instinct, Zaulyl happened to look up in time to see him bounding over the nearby rooftops. How the hell? Ok, he's obviously special...now to figure out what the hell you are.

Zaulyl had tried this trick once-it had been back in the warehouse, with a flat wall and easy to find handholds, but theoretically, it should have worked the same. He scanned the area, searching for a suitable way up-he found it in the form of a trailer parked next to a dumpster. Zaulyl ran and jumped high, landing on top of the dumpster, then used a combined push and a jump, both rising to the top of the trailer and knocking the trash over. Sorry, homeowners. I'd fix it if I had the time.

Time, however, was limited. As Zaulyl tried to figure out his next move, the man continued to get further away. Zaulyl backed up, preparing for his ensuing insanity. He ran across the roof of the trailer, using a Push at the roof at the last second to rise high enough to grip the roof of the next building. He pulled himself up with the aid of Telekinesis and took notice of the man again-he was now three roofs over, and quickly running out of roofs.

"Gotcha."

The man seemed to know exactly when to jump to just barely land perfectly on the next roof-his movements were logical, coordinated, like he had been doing this his whole life.

Zaulyl's, on the other hand, were sloppy and dangerous, only making his jumps thanks to the fact that they were telekinetically enhanced. More than once, he would have fallen off the edge of a building were it not for his ability to force his body to remain balanced.

After one particularly far jump, the man leaped off of the house-yes, off of the roof-and landed in a roll, starting his run immediately again. You've gotta be shittin me. After all the work getting up here...damn. Fortunately, an easier way was easily visible to Zaulyl-the garage was lower than the house he was on, and one unfortunate pedestrian's truck was just barely outside of it, allowing Zaulyl to run down the garage, fall onto the roof of the truck-denting it as he fell-and running off of the truck's bed.

The man still had a fairly large lead on Zaulyl, too far for Z to try tripping the man or otherwise impeding his movement-and he was heading towards traffic, where his obviously enhanced reflexes and agility would likely give him and advantage over Zaulyl.

Just as he thought, the man entered traffic, stopping short of vehicles, clearing others with a jump, and even rolling beneath one and coming out unharmed on the other side-as it was moving. God I hate fighting specials.

Zaulyl heard the familiar sound of skateboard wheels on concrete as he approached traffic himself-this could be the edge he needed! He extended his palm towards the skater, apologizing as he pushed the kid off of his board. The skateboard would roll to Zaulyl and he would step onto it, sliding through traffic on his telekinesis-driven skateboard with almost as much ease as the man ran through it. It helped that occasionally, he would force the brakes to slam on cars that were going a bit too fast for his liking.

When he emerged from the busy street, he had enough time to see his target disappear down an alley to the right. His board sped towards the alley, Zaulyl having lost all ideas of carefulness, being focused only upon bringing his target down.

As he turned the corner in the alley, he'd come to a dead end-but no murderer. That is, until he looked up-the bastard was hopping back and forth up the wall, Prince of Persia style. What?! No!

Zau extended his hand upwards, trying to pull the man down, but to no avail. He seemed to have exited Zau's range at the last second. Sack o' shit! I can't do that, not even with TK...how...I'll just have to follow him on the ground then.

Zaulyl rode his skateboard out to the sidewalk, thankfully able to keep track of his target though his occasional leaps over alleyways. This is all well and good...but I need to bring him down!

Zaulyl would quickly realized that this method wouldn't work. He needed a way to get up to the roof-quickly. He couldn't waist time trying to climb like he normally did-and that's when he remembered one of Ben's most implausible gifts. Zaulyl's backpack opened as he zipped along down the sidewalk, occasionally telekinetically pushing someone out of the way. From inside his bag flew his grappling hook, shooting far ahead and latching onto the roof of a building in front of him.

He applied more speed to his wheels, easily overtaking the runner above him, who had to compete with the gravel used on the tops of buildings. The rope to his hook hung down next to the building, and Zau applied more and more speed to the wheels, easily reaching speeds on his board that a skateboard was simply never meant to reach. People would gasp and curse as Zaulyl zoomed past them, occasionally being knocked over by an invisible force just before he'd reach them.

His hands reached for the rope, painfully burning them as his momentum carried him higher through the air, leaving the skateboard behind. As he felt gravity start to apply it's cruel weight to his body, he telekinetically pushed himself higher, working with his already impressive momentum to give him the height he needed to push past the roof of the building, landing on his hands and knees just as the running man made the leap over to the same building.

Zau resisted the urge to vomit right there and stood up, ignoring his violently turning stomach.

"Gotcha...now quit running."

The man apparently agreed that it was time to stop running away-he ran towards Zaulyl instead, brandishing his blade. Zaulyl didn't care though. Catching the guy would be the hard part, he already knew. If all this guy had in his arsenal was a big scary knife, it was already over.

The man slashed high over Zaulyl's body, to which Zau responded by bending backwards, using his abilities to prevent himself from falling over. The man stabbed straight down at Zaulyl's exposed torso, but would find his blade turned aside and a foot in his gut-Zaulyl was now supporting himself on one foot, nearly lying down, only his powers keeping him from falling to the ground. Even they couldn't hold him up forever though. As the man fell to the ground, Zaulyl fell too, extending his palm and sending the man gliding across the rocks on the roof.

The man lost his knife in his glide, but ran up to Zaulyl and kicked him in the gut, who used the opportunity to bring the man down again, who would then receive a very physical kick to the face. With the man's nose broken and bloody, Zau climbed to his feet, only to be tackled to the ground again by the man. He'd unleash his fury on Zaulyl with a series of punches that seemed too strong for the man to be realistic-but then again, just about everything about this man was unrealistically powerful.

A burst of telekinetic energy lifted the man off of Zaulyl's body and launched him about five feet backwards-the Push, once again saving Zaulyl's ass. Zau rolled onto his knees, his mouth dripping blood as the man started another charge. No.

The man would collapse to the ground, suddenly finding his own knife floating in the air, having just cut his hamstrings. This was over. Zaulyl climbed to his feet and stood there, at first having trouble standing. He then remembered his purpose, and dragged the man along the ground over to the short wall that overhung the front of the store, the very wall Zaulyl improvised a swing onto. The man would feel a great amount of pain as Zaulyl sent Push after Push at the murder's body, possibly breaking a rib or two.

"Fine!" The man managed to spit out between Pushes. "Fine...you win...I'll turn myself in...I'm done."

The man wouldn't get off that easily though. He'd feel a pressure on his throat as Zaulyl extended his hand and started visibly contracting, telekinetically choking the man.

"WHY?! WHY DID YOU KILL THEM!? THEY LOVED YOU, DAMMIT!"

The man struggled to speak, and Zaulyl released his hold. He began to speak, but then found that the same constricting was present again.

"No. I don't really care why. It's done. You're done."

The man tried to scream as he realized that he wouldn't find his due process here, but no sound would come from his throat. The rope from Zaulyl's grappling hook would slink it's way up past the man's body, tightening around his throat to form a noose. His thrashing grew more and more panicked, the fear obvious in his eyes. Good. Be afraid. Be terrified. This is how they felt, right before you did it. This is what you did to them.

The rope would tie itself as the man's limbs were forced still-there were tears of pure terror in his eyes-his end was coming, and it wouldn't be quick. The rope formed a knot known as the slip knot, mostly because Zaulyl didn't know how to make the hangman's noose.

The man would let loose one last scream as Zaulyl's hold on his neck was released, and then his body would be shoved over the wall. His neck would break before he could suffocate, killing him almost instantly.

Shoved into the man's pocket would be a picture of him, a blonde woman, and a little girl. There...it's over...finally.

Zaulyl had trouble keeping his balance-both the fight and the fact that he just killed a man seemed to hit him simultaneously. From the street, he could hear the screams as people saw the dead man, hanging there just a few feet off the ground. He could feel the fear intermingling with his own exhaustion and anger. Soon, the fear would overtake both, and Zaulyl would start looking for a way off the roof. He'd find it in the form of a ladder around back-he would take the ladder down, removing his mask and shoving his bloodied jacket into his backpack on the way down. Zaulyl left the scene by retreating into some nearby woods, getting as far from the place as possible.

When the fear and the sirens finally died down, Zaulyl felt only exhaustion. This deep into the woods, he was unlikely to be disturbed, and even if he was, he could feel someone coming before they'd see him anyways. Zaulyl fell into a deep sleep, finally not worried about waking with regret plaguing his mind.
