The rats were standing there, trying to look tough, but just looking stupid instead. There were three of them. One was clearly out of place, a nerdy little kid with tape on the center of his glasses. The second and third were a pair of really big, stupid twins. They seemed to have a habit of doing the fist pound every couple of seconds and snickering. About what, nobody knew. There were a few hooded guys with cans of spray paint, a guy that was clearly high, and finally, the leader. The leader was different. He was simply known as "the Rat". And he was a perfect example of bad hygiene. His pus-filled face was accompanied by a constant, shivering posture. He was always shaking and twitching to some degree. His face was gross, and he was gaunt and weak-looking. When he spoke, his voice was high-pitched, like a guy sounds when he speaks, and his voice breaks. "Um... uh... Ugh! Where, where is that idiot we hired? He should have been here by now!" To which the guy who was clearly high replied... "Dude... It's only like... um... 5 minutes before he was supposed to get here..." The Rat then proceeded to tap his foot impatiently. Clearly, he was a very high strung individual. How he came to rule a gang was anyone's guess. |

The gang would hear him coming before they'd see him. The low, mean-sounding hum of his motorcycle would signal his arrival. The man would ride up on his bike, covered head to toe in black; even the visor of his helmet was black. They'd hear the bike turn off, and would then hear a single set of footsteps, quietly approaching. The man wasn't entirely sure why he wanted to take this job-he'd heard from one of his "friends" about it. It didn't SOUND particularly dangerous...but perhaps he'd get a bit of unexpected adrenaline-it really was anyone's guess. He would round the corner, the very pinnacle of badassery plain in the way he walked. Here was a confident man-the way he walked implied that he had no fear. And why would he? After all, here was the unkillable man: The ghost: Legend. Legend spoke to who he assumed was the leader of this gang-the Rats, they said? Stupid name. This guy looks like a rat. Probably started it for that reason. "Sorry it took so long. Traffic was a nightmare." |

The Rat just stuttered as he saw the man walk up. There was an air around him as he walked up was that of a true badass, something the Rat had never really had to deal with before. "Uh... um... Eh! You're, you're, you're here! Well... it's about time! We need to get started!" The rat sent the wasted guy to push Legend along. He sauntered over and tried to push Legend, only to find that he was not a man to be pushed. "You're awesome dude... whoa..." Mr. Weed looked down at his hands with a blank look on his face. "My hands are HUGE! Um... what are we doing again?" To which the Rat simply responded, "Sh-sh-shut up! Hurry up and let's get going!" They would all then pile into the car. One of the hooded men would drive. The entire gang learned a long time ago never to let the Rat get behind the wheel of a car. Bad things happened when that twitchy little man got into traffic... After the drive, they'd be at a large brick wall near the police station. The Rat was assumed responsible for choosing this particular wall. Nobody would be stupid enough to spray paint a wall just one block from the police station, right? "Th-this is the start of my fool proof plan! When the police see that we, the glorious Rats, painted a wall so close to their base, they'll HAVE to respect us!" |

Legend was indeed not a man to be pushed. He said nothing as the kid tried to push him, simply walked on towards the car. He got in, a bit regretful about leaving his bike behind, but fine all the same. No one would be stupid enough to take a bike like that. And if they were, Legend would be sure to catch up to them later and make them regret it. The ride was boring. The Rat seemed to be almost exactly the opposite of Legend. He was twitchy, probably weak...and obviously had no respect for the police. Well, I guess we're not THAT different. Legend waited for the Rat to finish his evil mastermind monologue before speaking up. "So what was that "help" you needed? Your guys aren't competent enough to handle a wall, or am I bodyguard duty?" Please say bodyguard, please say bodyguard, please say bodyguard... |

The Rat laughed, a terrible sound that came off more like a series of irritating high pitched squeaks before finally responding. "We can do it, we just need you to run off the police! I can't trust these guys for anything!" Of course, the last part of his statement couldn't be argued with. The wasted guy was already asleep before the car ride was over, his head resting on Legend's shoulder... But the nap ended when they got there, as everyone grabbed a can of spray paint and got to work on the wall. Legend would receive no additional orders, beyond the implied order of having to tolerate the Rat trying to "supervise" his subordinates as they did a very bad drawing on the wall. It barely even looked like anything. Soon, an officer came walking down, shouting out in a loud voice. "Hey! What do you think you're doing? Line up against the wall, all of you!" The Rat jerked around, shivering visibly now, as his gaze darted back and forth between the officer and Legend... |

Legend smiled, though no one could have seen because of his helmet. He walked towards the officer, his hands held up in the air, showing he meant to harm. Oh, how his body language lied. "Officer, I'm not with these people-I was just trying to tell them to leave." Legend would approach the officer, keeping his hands up until the last minute. When he was within 10 feet of the cop, he'd charge, aiming to tackle the officer to the ground. If he did indeed hit the cop, he would deliver a super strength enhanced punch to the poor man's throat, likely collapsing his trachea, if not outright killing the poor bastard. Of course, his strategy would have to change if the initial tackle didn't work, but it would all basically revolve around hurting the cop. Badly. "You think you guys can hurry up, maybe?" |

The cop died instantly, without putting up much of a fight. But the death of one cop was bound to draw the attention of others. And whoever had alerted the cops to begin with apparently had been watching the whole time. Now sirens could be heard, and it wouldn't take them long to get there. Killing a cop might have been a bad idea... The Rat was obviously upset by this development. He was stuttering and screaming at everyone but Legend, who the Rat made a point to stay far far away from. Soon, the reinforcements would arrive. 5 Shields and a patrol car, all of whom surrounded Legend, their weapons drawn. "You get one chance. Put your hands up and come quietly." |

Legend laughed-the sheer absurdity of HE, Legend, surrendering...that was some funny stuff. He wouldn't be laughing for long though-he'd have to deal with these stupid metal wannabe cop things. "See, I would go quietly...really, I would. Promise. But the problem with that right now is that...well, I'm bored. And surrendering...well, that's not very fun, now is it?" Legend would drop to a crouch, picking up the body of the officer by the throat, and would then charge to his left, straight towards one of the Shield androids. He'd slam his helmet-covered head into the head of the Shield robot, while slinging the dead body of the officer over his shoulder to protect him from the attacks of the others. He wasn't sure if these robots worked the same way people did, but they sure looked like their heads were important. Whether or not his head-bash would work against this shield droid, he would try to wrest the sword from the shield's hand with his free one. He turned his head towards the Rat. "What's the matter, Rat? I thought you wanted your gang to be respected by the cops? Attack them, unless you'd rather deal with me." |

Legend's plan worked for the most part. One Shield droid was down, and the sword was now in his possession. However, he now had to deal with the onslaught of 4 shield droids, as the two officers went to arrest the Rat and his gang. Each droid took it's own area. Two went after Legend's legs, one went for his heart, and one went for his head. Legend needed to act fast. The Rat was simply distraught with terror over these recent turns of events. "Eh... uhh.... EEEEEK!" The Rat started hiding behind the guys with hoods, who immediately pulled out some switchblades. They were clearly no match against the cops armed with pistols, but it might give Legend a few moments to interfere... |

After claiming his new sword, he'd duck and spin in a half-circle to face his opponents, passing below the swords aimed at his chest and head and shoving the swords aimed at his away with the body of the dead officer, still clutched by his collapsed throat in the left hand of his killer. Soon after, Legend would ram his sword up, into the body of the Shield unit that attacked his head. The unit was likely off-balance; of course, so should all of the others, but there was only so much he could do at a time. A quick glance at the Rat and his boys showed that he would indeed likely have to do all the work himself. Should his sword have gone through the Shield unit like he thought it would, Legend would swing with his right arm across his body, trying to crash the remains of this Shield bot into as many of the other nearby Shields as possible. He would then launch the dead, likely mutilated body of the officer at the two officers approaching Rat and his boys-but not before taking the dead officer's pistol. Legend turned back to face the Shield droids and would start firing at the nearest one. He hadn't checked to make sure the android he had used earlier had struck it's target, but given that the others were close enough to try using their swords, he figured he'd be close enough to hit them-and in that case, they would just now be free of the android Legend used as a weapon. "Am I gonna have to do all of this by myself?! You're a gang-act like it! Swarm those damn cops and rip em to pieces!" |

Things were going well, all things considered. Legend had successfully taken out two of the five shields. However, his spear through the second ended up decapitating it. Legend now had a sword with a robot head attached at the end, which wasn't nearly enough force to knock down three robots. He did take down one, though. The two cops did in fact get distracted by the dead body flung at them, though it didn't quite strike true. They stopped, looked at the two destroyed androids, realizing quickly that their focus had to be on Legend, not the notoriously untalented gang painting the wall. Now Legend had a pistol and a sword with a robot head attached, and he managed to take a few shots at another of the Shields. This didn't destroy it, however, but it did damage it. The robot was now on the fritz, swinging wildly in front of itself. If Legend didn't finish the job, he'd be cut into pieces. On the bright side, the crazed Shield sliced off the leg of the shield directly next to it. The last Shield was still in perfect condition, and ready to start stabbing at Legend's chest again. By this point, the two officers had their pistols out and pointed at Legend. "You best stop, boy. We *will* shoot you." And the Rat? He was in the fetile position with a very obvious chattering sound coming from his teeth. Some people just weren't cut out for this sort of thing. The hooded guys just stood there stupidly. Were they supposed to help the bodyguard? They were already stupid, and without the Rat telling them what to do, they wouldn't quite know much of anything.

"You will, huh? How do you plan to kill a ghost?" Legend had had just about enough of this gang. They were beyond pathetic-it was almost like they didn't want to be here! Here was a prime opportunity to end some cops, and they weren't taking it. Legend ducked under the blade of the haywire Shield, dropping both of his weapons in the process. He'd grab the haywire one by the arm and shove it into the still functional Shield. He doubted that would put either one down, but he just needed a few moments of peace while he could converse with the various parties present. "Hoods-Anyone who kills a cop today DOESN'T get punched in the throat. Have fun." Legend would then drop to the ground, picking the pistol back up in the process. He fired whatever bullets were left at the officers, not really aiming to kill, but rather to distract the cops from the hooded idiots who, if they liked living, would now be moving to stab the cops in the back. Of course, he was firing in that general direction, so hitting them was possible-he just wasn't actively trying. He kept his ears open for the sound of approaching Shields androids-those metal things weren't exactly sneaky-and prepared to turn his attention back to them if it turned out that he needed to. Even with the sound of gunfire, he still should have been able to hear their metal feet. |

The last functional Shield dropped down, as the malfunctioning one started to spark, until a loud popping noise was heard and it slunk to the ground. Whatever was damaged inside it seemed to have fried the rest of it. Now there was only one Shield, stuck on its back, kicking at Legend's legs. But that obviously had as little effect as the wasted thug trying to push him. The two officers were waiting for the Shields to do their job, but it was clear that it was Legend who was winning at this point. But before the police could open fire... "Wh-wh-wh-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! KILL THE COPS!!!" The Rat himself, suddenly in possession of some sort of courage, leapt from the ground, pulling out a gun of his own, and firing randomly. He actually only grazed the arm of one of the officers, but it kept their eyes off of Legend, while the hooded guys attacked, thankful that the Rat hadn't actually hit them. The cops were definitely more skilled, but the hooded guys had the advantage in numbers, and for the moment, there was a stalemate of sorts. Legend had all the time he needed to do his thing. |

And he'd spend that time by assisting the Rats. After stomping on the ankles of the functional Shield, he'd pick it up by said ankles and slam it against the wall next to him. The last threat dealt with, Legend would walk towards the battling cops and Rats and would grab one of the cops from behind, putting him in a neck hold. Legend would pump his arm and twist, hopefully snapping the officer's neck, before moving to grab the cop's pistol. He'd point the pistol at the last remaining cop, but would only fire if the Rats couldn't finish him off themselves. As skilled as the officer was, with as many Rats as there were attacking, it should have been an easy kill. If, however, for whatever reason, the Rats were having difficulties, Legend would unload on the officer. He'd toss the gun once he was dead, whether it was Legend or the Rats who finished him off. "Well. That was fun. Back to work, boys." |

The Rat and his crew had almost finished the spray paint figure of... the Rat. It was terrible, and looked more like little kids got hold of a box of crayons and went to town, but the job was quickly completed after the disposal of the cops. The Rat seemed different after that little outburst, no longer cowering from Legend. Maybe he'd gained some backbone? After that, everybody piled back into the car, and headed back. Legend would find his motorcycle waiting right where he left it, and before long, everything was finished. Legend was free to go on with things. And as for the Rats... who knew if they'd be able to handle the certain wrath that was to come after the loss of 3 cops and 5 androids... [Crime Complete] |
