Here lies a building that is more than just a place of work. It is a symbol of justice, one which the criminals of Veritas city often come to fear. If they get caught, this is where they go, waiting for prosecution or interrogation. They are forced to wear restraint collars, which deactivate their powers so it is safe to interogate them. They are also, of course, relieved of all weapons as well. |

Patrick walked down to the interrogation room. It seemed that he had to deal with the nit wit who tried robbing the home depot. Things didn't look like they would go well for him, either. Vandalism, armed robbery and assault. This is your first offense, Tom the ADA said, sitting down across from the vandal. So I am going to go easy on you. 100 hours of community service, picking up trash outside of the home depot. If I see you again, I'm locking you away, got it? Patrick could feel for the kid. He had tried robbing a corrupt corporation, something he would have done himself. His only crime was getting caught. |

Tom nodded curtly to this man in a suit. Was he brain-dead stupid or something? He had no intention of ever doing those 100 hours of community service, much less going next to that Home Depot again. He put on his acting skills, gotten from his Junior play of Macbeth, and smiled warmly, putting on a tone of deepest gratitude. "Oh, thank you sir! But...isn't is possible for me to choose where I spend my service? I feel that if I go near the Home Depot ever again I might get tempted to get on the bad side of the law." He let his fingers slip from his knob, although every instinct of his told him to open that door and get the hell out of here. Might as well make the best impression he could if he was ever going to meet him again. "But I know that I won't be hanging out with...my 'friends' ever again." Even adding some air quotes. |

Tell youw hat, I'll cut you a better deal then the ADA said, Give me the names of your friends, and you can do those community service hours with a charitable organization of your choice. He placed hsi hadn on the table, looking into Tom's eyes with great ferocity. Why settle for just one when he could bring all 5 to justice, right? |

He smiled as he was offered a new deal. Seems his acting had paid off, for now. "Their names are Jack, Billy, Bob, and Billy-Bob. Make sure they get what they deserve, although not as harshly." He hoped they got their asses beat in prison, dumb punks running away when things got tough. If they didn't get beat in prison, he'd be the one doing it out of prison. No one ditched him on a plan. |

The ADA took the names down and had the boys arrested. The security footage from the store was all he needed to convict. In the mean time, Tom was free to go, though he still had that community service to deal with. He would need to get a lot better about hiding from the police and even better than that about escaping if he wanted this criminal thing to work out. His work done, Patrick left the building for the night. He had... other... work to do. EXIT |
