Hey, that should be good! There was an interview with her in the Guardian this weekend too - no mention of Chris, but a good read nonetheless.

Doesn't this prove that the pic Shirlie posted isn't photoshopped -I didn't think it was anyway but....

Yeah, I think it's a pretty safe bet that that pic was from The Sarah Silverman Program.

Definitely!! It's annoying!! My lecturer saw him on the train the other day! I think it was either going to Norwich or going to London, he didn't say! He's in england at the moment but doing what?

Norwich??? What the hell is there to do in Norwich??? Channelling the Norfolk-vibe and visiting Mr. Fry??? Let's hope he was going London-wards for his sake ... altho' I stress I DO like Mr. Fry's work I really can't see what else there is to shout about Norfolk - am just more of a Suffolk-fan [**quickly adds before I get pelted in carrots**]

It's so funny to read about "Norfolk" and "Suffolk" because you're talking about places in England and we have cities with the same names in Virginia (where I live). I work in Norfolk and Suffolk is maybe a 15 minute drive from my house. Can you tell this part of our state was heavily colonized by the English? LOL Too bad Chris wasn't on a train in Virginia instead.

I live in Ipswich! Lol! Suffolk is great! He may have been on the way to or from manchester stopping at norwich! Unless my lecturer was on a completely different train! He was very vague! I didn't want to ask to many questions, I've mentioned Chris a lot in seminars (doing film and media) so he already thinks I'm obsessed, well I may be slightly!!

Isn't Norfolk where Stephen Fry films 'Kingdom'? It's around there somewhere because he wanted to stay at his home there instead of renting a place on location. And he wanted to do a series about the place he grew up... I'm remembering all those articles I read when he was promoting the first series of Kingdom so it's been a while. Anyway, if they are filming a series now, maybe Chris is guest starring.
Or am I being way too hopeful given very little evidence? (Two of my very very favorites on screen together. The only way it could get better is if Hugh Laurie showed up too...!) Linda

I went to university in Norwich and I will defend it against allcomers. There's nothing you can say to a city which has a pub for every day of the year. Having said that I can't think of one good reason why Chris would be going there...Geographically speaking it's not somewhere you pass through.

What a lot of connections we have with Norwich! Here's another one - when I arrived in the UK in about 1980, my first job was in Norwich at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital! There was a chocolate factory next door to the hospital and the smell was overpowering. :P Every time I walked out of the hospital I had an insatiable urge to buy chocolate. Strangely, I've still got that urge after all these years...
(But I think the factory closed so I don't think Chris was going there. :rof: )

OK I can see a chocolate factory might add to the City's charm, and yes pubs are good [ remember I live in Cambridge where every other building is either a college or a public house :rof: ] but it takes an age to get to and always seem to be freezing cold [even in summer months]. Nope, give me Suffolk any day ...

But back to topic [!], does anyone know when this will be shown /what episode number this? [Just so I can keep my eyes peeled to the UK channel planner that shows this]

I "think" it's going to air tomorrow night (11/20/2008) in the US. I believe the episode with Chris is called "I Thought My Dad Was Dead, But It Turns Out He's Not".

Synopsis: "Sarah reconnects with her father when she discovers he is not dead. Meanwhile Brian spends an absurd amount of money on a DVD and tries to justify his purchase by watching it over and over."

Isn't Chris playing the character on the DVD mentioned in the synopsis?

My TiVo search doesn't bring up the show when I search on Chris's name, but maybe it's an uncredited appearance.

Sounds like a good bet that it's Chris's episode. The Comedy Central site doesn't have Chris listed either and the preview doesn't have anything to do with the video, but the write up is too close not to take a look at the show. It's show number 214 for those watching in the UK.
