Press play and then close your eyes for less than a minute:

The voice bears an uncanny resemblance doesn't it? My jaw dropped to the ground the moment I heard it.

Ecclesno9

Damn! I tried to listen to it, but it won't play for people outside the UK. You would think they would want to start building an audience for foreign sales...or at least a showing on BBC America. Oh well. Could someone download it and post it here? Or is that impossible? My computer knowlege is close to zero. Thanks!

Chris does look yummy as Lennon! Linda

Okay, I should have read everything before posting...good for Photobucket! Chris certainly has the accent down. I thought his tone was a little sharper than Lennon's, but then I only heard Lennon in interviews where he may have been speaking softer than his natural tone. And it's been a very very
long time since I even heard an interview. In a way this is all such ancient history. But a great opportunity for Chris! :) Linda

Also will probably have to leave early due to the way the trains in work. Should be great fun though and hope to meet up with Ecclesno9 as well which will be nice.

Sad fact, in all my time on the interwebs I had never found someone online who even lived in the same country as me. Until recently that is.

Absolutely shattered but had a great time. Ended up on the same train back as Chris so had a chat at Manchester when we went to change trains. I'll let someone else do the reporting for the moment as I've had about three hours sleep and I need my bed but have uni work to do.

Woke up with a very sore head this morning - you're not the only one who had little sleep last night.

I wish we only had more time to chew the cud over "John Lennon -Naked" Sonic!

Someone does a much better job of reporting on the screening here than I can Art Thou Beguil'd

But yes it was good and definitely worth watching when it comes onto BBC4 or getting on DVD if you're not in the UK.

Meeting him when we got off the train was nice as well. We knew he was on the same train as he got on the same carriage as us but then walked through to the quiet coach as obviously he didn't want to be disturbed. We kinda nabbed him as he walked down the platform and congratulated him on the film and well he was a bit surprised that there were other people on the train that had been at the same screening. We then just got chatting for a bit about the screening, acting technique and music. Got a told we ought to go to New Orleans for the music and well we probably will after Uni. He also noticed my Smiths tee which was cool considering it was the only clean presentable tee I had (I'm a student and I hadn't done my washing yet so it was that or a shirt and I hate shirts with a passion). But then again I am a massive Smiths fan so yeah. All good fun really but very tiring as I'd had to book Doctor Who proms tickets in the morning and go to a Uni lecture before even heading down to London for the screening.
