I read on a google alert that Chris is joining a production at a place called... now excuse the ignorant Canuck here... The Domtar House? Warehouse? Um... does that ring a bell? He's joining Gillian Anderson in that production as well as other cast members that my head can't remember right now cuz I caught me a little spring virus that is clogging my brain (more than usual). Anyway... if you want details, google it cuz I forgot to copy the article in... but I really saw it... I know I didn't imagine.

It's a production called "A Dolls House" by Ibsen and it's at the Donmar Warehouse and as far as I'm aware the run is already sold out, which is a shame.

Some folks on Sci Fi website are already complaining that they have changed characters' names for this production. I've never read or seen the original play, but apparently there is no Neil Kelman (Christopher's part) in A Doll's House. There is a Nils Krogstad... same complaint from them about Christine Lyle being used instead of Christine Linde. They are afraid the name changes are an attempt to make the play "trendy" and they're "not excited about it"...

Picky, picky, picky.... it's got Christopher Eccleston, Gillian Anderson, and Toby Stephens! That would be amazing to see... "trendy" or not. I would love to go if it were possible.

There are tickets on ebay but they are too expensive for a poor student! :(

That's a shame. I was hoping someone across the pond would be able to see this and report back to the rest of us. :-/

What kind of fans are we that we didn't know about this until it was sold out?!

We are typical Christopher Eccleston fans... kept in the dark. :rof: I only just saw it on google alerts or I'd still be assuming all there was to look forward to was GI Joe.

Yes, thank goodness for Google alerts. I'd always be the last one to find out about his projects otherwise. Still seems like there's not enough of his projects. Some "actors" (and I use the term very loosely) constantly seem to be working on something. No sooner have they finished promoting one film than they're already shooting another one. It's like you can't get away from them. Quantity over quality I guess.

Goodness, when on earth did the booking open? What a shame that it's already sold out. :'(

It's likely it sold out before the rest of the cast was even announced. It's a small venue and Gillian Anderson has been on board since the production began.

Oh. Yes. I suppose that would do it. Well, A Doll's House is an awesome play. I can't watch the movie again or I'll bawl my eyes out. So he picked a good one. Break a leg, Chris baby.

I only just heard about it since yesterday, by google email news. Can't believe these tickets are all sold out. Since the production was casted last year, only with Gillian Anderson, when I saw she was listed in the play I had an interest in getting tickets, don't know why I didn't.
And seeing this is a small theatre, I haven't been to this theatre. I saw on the seating plan its got seats all round the stage. With only 4 rows in stalls and in circle row.

Ha! They keep these things quiet, don't they?

Ah well, I'm still looking forward to reading the reviews.

Even if CE wasn't in this, I would love to see it. I just recently watched Gillian Anderson in the Bleak House miniseries and she was excellent.

She's a good actress. I'll give her that. I would love to see the play. It has always been a favourite of mine... though so doggone heavy that it makes a soap opera look tame by comparison.

I've never seen or read any Ibsen, I have to admit. It's a deficiency.

I've only read that one. And I saw the movie with Jane Fonda. And I don't know anyone that doesn't cry when... well... I shouldn't give that part away. GAH! It was sadder than sad.
