I had gotten a Google alert on The Happiness Salesman but have found precious little info about it. Anyone have details? I know Chris is in it as well as the sole actress that was on the WCA panel with him last year.

Also, what happened to New Orleans Mon Amour? I'd heard it made the festivals but none any where near me. Is it coming out on DVD?

I haven't heard anything new about either of these films. The last I saw about The Happiness Salesman was here:
The Happiness Salesman . They have some production stills with Chris in them.

There was also this quote from someone affiliated with the film (I think):
“The Happiness Salesman” written by Steve Gomez is a winner of the British Short Screenplay Competition. It is the biggest international short screenplay competition in the world receiving over two thousand entries each year. The competition is judged by an eminent panel of judges including Kenneth Branagh, Sir Alan Parker, Nik Powell, Natascha Wharton and Stephen Woolley.

It is directed by BAFTA nominated director Krish Majumdar and stars Christopher Eccleston and Archie Panjabi. The film was shot on location in London with kind support from Arri Media, Kodak, Pinewood Studios and Technicolor. It is currently in post production and we hope to have a premier in January at BAFTA.

*Fingers crossed about the premier this month at BAFTA.

According to the official BAFTA website, the awards ceremony will be held in the first week of February, so hopefully we'll get some news closer to the date.

No idea on NOMA, sadly. I saw the trailer posted on an American blog, and even they seemed uncertain as to when it was coming out.

Google Alerts tells me:
"Cinetic Rights Management is set to raise the curtain on three films this summer that one can watch from the comfort of their computer—
July will see the online debut of Michael Almereyda’s latest drama “New Orleans, Mon Amour,” starring Christopher Eccleston as a philandering Dr. Jekyll, who plots a return to normalcy in post-Katrina New Orleans with thoughts of reuniting with his ex-wife when Hyde (Elisabeth Moss), the woman who ruined their marriage, reappears in town…"

I'm not sure I've ever heard of an online debut of a movie rather than seeing it first in a theater or on DVD. But if it means I get to see Chris in a new movie, I'm all for it. Anyone else heard any details about this online debut?

Ooh, no I haven't. I did know that a lot of independent and foreign films were being legally streamed online because distributors were (rightly) sick of having to compete for shelf space at DVD rental stores with big blockbusters. Didn't Steven Soderbergh release a low-budget movie this way, too? I'm sure it'll be happening more and more in the future.

Anyway. Most important thing - I'll finally get to see this, assuming I can work out how to use the technology!
