Set in the Land of Fire, Hi no Kuni, this village is summertime most of the year. It is reigned by a Hokage, or Fire Shadow. The Leaf Village is quite famous for having originated the Legendary Sannin. It is an enemy of Otogakure, which lies in the Land of Rice.

Current Hokage: Tsunade [the Fifth]

Sunagakure lies in the sandy desert of the Land of Wind, or Kaze no Kuni. It is ruled by a Kazekage, or Wind Shadow. Sunagakure are allies with Konohagakure, having supported each other many times in the past. Puppet-makers are somewhat common around these parts, such as the infamous Akasuna no Sasori (Sasori of the Red Sand).

Kazekage: Gaara [the Fifth]

Kirigakure lies within the Land of Water, or Mizu no Kuni. As the village's name suggests, the land is constantly misty. Here shinobi specialize mainly in water jutsu. This place is popular for having originated the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, two of them being Momochi Zabuza or Hoshigaki Kisame. Kirigakure is reigned by a Mizukage, or Water Shadow.

This village is in the Land of Lightning, or Kaminari no Kuni. It is ruled by a Raikage, the Lightning Shadow. Not too much is known about this village other than the fact that Akatsuki had come here once, but nobody is exactly sure what had happened.

Raikage: [none, apply?]

Iwagakure is within the Land of Earth, or Tsuchi no Kuni. It is led by a Tsuchikage, or Earth Shadow. The shinobi here specialize in Earth jutsu. The land is dotted with mountains and great boulders. Iwagakure is not exactly a friend of Konohagakure, as in the past it has tried to attack it but failed.

Within the Land of Rice, or Ta no Kuni, lies Otogakure, the Village Hidden in the Sound. Shinobi from all over, wanting power beyond their wildest dreams, come here to serve Orochimaru, one of the Legendary Sannin. However, Orochimaru had merely created this village to carry out his experiments without being disturbed.

A lush place, Amegakure lies within the Land of Rain. The jungle surrounding Amegakure is inhabited by a vast variety of exotic flora and fauna, many of which are gigantic, posionous, or both. Here it rains often, and it is rare to have a sunny day.
