Forum Rules Please Read!

1. RESPECT. I cannot stress this enough. We must all respect each other, newb to senior member alike. To earn respect you must first give respect. This rule will be carried on throughout every forum including the spam board. If you believe that you are being disrespected, report the post and the Head Council will look over it.

2. DO NOT SPAM. This is the top priority in every forum to prevent spamming. Spamming is the art of posting off topic or starting threads in the wrong sections and posting meaningless, unnecessary, or random to the topic. We have a separate forum for anything that is not related to anything in the forums. If you are unsure if your topic is spam or not, post it in the chit chat section and if it is SPAM, the MODs will place it in the spam section if needed. This is our most enforced rule and if broken too many times, action will be taken. Posts with only 2-3 words will also be considered as spam.

Also, one liners with quotes like Ive seen alot of members do will not be tolerated.

3. NO MUTIPLE POSTING. By multiple posting it is meant that you should not post consecutively after another post. There are exceptions to this rule but not many. After double, triple, or quadruple posting the MODs or members will state not to consecutive post and again if there is failure to comprehend then a banning will come in. You can however double post with justified reason. Whether the reason is justified or not will be judged by the mods.

4. NO INCESSANT SWEARING. Swearing may not be that bad, but there are also children who are underage that browse the forum and we do not want to seem like a horrible forum. Mature language is pleasant to see and pleasant to read. Some swear words like damn or shit is not that bad. Also swearing from time to time can also be tolerated. Just do not do it on a regular basis to the point where it becomes annoying.

4b. NO NUDITY. To go along with rule 4 with having underage children and to make alot of the members see clearly, nudity is not permitted on these forums and if this rule is broken, the user will be instantly banned.

5. NO ADVERTISING OTHER SITES. This seems to be a rule which gets broken often. Unless the site is an official site, pertains to the topic, or is a direct link meaning the download will commence when clicked, and is approved by the MODs, it cannot be advertised. This includes sigs as well. There should be no links in sigs going to other sites unless approved by any of the MODs. If seen advertising, the link will get deleted and a warning will be issued. If the advertising is continued, the member will be banned.

6. NO FLAMING IN THE FORUMS. Flaming is the art of insult through text. Please try and prevent flaming other members no matter what the case is. Please try to keep flaming to a minimum and keep it through PM or instant messaging. If one wants to vent, the spam board is open for that but if the situation gets out of control and involves the whole forum, serious action will take place. We want a peaceful community and not one where everyone hates each other.

7. BUMPING. Bumping is the act of posting in a thread which has not been active (no new posts) for a long period of time. Like multi-posting, bumping can be justified. If it is a thread which could interest others but has not been active for 3 weeks, it is up to a mod whether or not the user bumping the thread will be issued a warning or not. By justified I mean if the post can still contribute to the topic then there is no harm in bumping it.

8. MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS. It is not allowed to have more than one (1) registered account on the forums. Unless you have a very good reason, you're not allowed to do so. If you have been temporarily banned, and you make a new account to bypass your ban, you will be permanently banned, this includes your IP. If you really need to create a new account, please e-mail a mod before doing it.

9. No more "What is your favorite" or "Something vs Something" threads! These have gotten quite out of hand recently. It was okay at first, what with getting to know other members, but now people come in, post short 3 word/1 line responses for quick points, and leave. From this point on any one of those threads created will be deleted on sight. These threads become spam holes, and as for what spam is, refer to Rule #2.

10. TEH ULTIMATE RULE. HAVE FUN ON THE Emina Role Play Forums!...

These are the main rules. There are exceptions to some of these rules like in the SPAM board where almost none of the rules apply. There is an infraction system which will begin being used regularly to insure order throughout the forums. Please no backseat moderating, if you do not have the authority to do so then do not act like you are a mod.
This does not mean that users can't help! If you see a post which you believe needs to be moderated or some action needs to be done then please report it and the Head Council(admin&mods) will get on it ASAP. Thanks guys. If anyone needs to contact any of the Head Council our emails are:

Staff Rules:

A staff may infract you if you do not follow a rule; it be thread-dependent or forum-dependent.

If a staff member is using his power to avoid being infracted or banned, tell an admin. That staff will lose his/her position and be infracted.

Before you are infracted, the staff should give you a warning, like 'don't do that.' However, if the offense is something major (trolling, hacking, etc) then the staff has full right to infract you on the spot.

Staff have no right to delete a thread or major post unless a reason for it is given. If the post INCLUDES flaming/trolling/advertising but still has sensible information, then that part of the post will be edited out. Deletion of a major thread or post will lead to the staff member losing his/her position.

I'll make this clear. If I find you making another account as a way to avoid a ban, i'll make it permanent. And anything racist or of that sort will result in a 5-10 day ban. It wont be tolerated.

And if continued, i'll add on 10+ more days to your ban.
