Basically just retouched the old OoT artwork, but it looks nicer. Also, official OoT Ganon artwork! That seems to be new!

Any news on extras being added into the game? Like an extra dungeon, more sidequests, something to do post game etc.? Because honestly if this is basically the same OoT with prettier graphics then I won't be so inclined to shell out 40 bucks for a game I can buy for a quarter of the price off the virtual console.

I would like to know of any new content too. Miggins has told me there is none. I already have Master Quest and I couldn't care much less about a graphical revamp, so at the moment I'm completely uninterested in this.

There's supposed to be a Boss Challenge mode and a super guide mode (and like Ninja mentioned Master Quest) And that's just what they announced. There could be more features.

A Boss Challenge mode does seem nice, if it's at all what it sounds like. What is "super guide mode"?

They said there would be new stuff already in some interview I read.

Thought I'd post this, even though it was shown a few weeks ago...

... :giggle:

More screenshots. Hands on gameplay video.

The screenshot that has link standing in front of a large stone? Apparently those are shiekah stones and if you crawl into one you will get a video that gives you a hint on where to go/what to do.

Seriously? Like the next thing to do wasn't obvious enough with Navi telling you every few minutes? And the music is the same, I can't get over this for some reason. The game is clearly a remake, so why is the music just copied over and not, well, remade? Keep it for nostalgic value? Why? The graphics were nostalgic too, but they are improved and it looks good. Why not the music too? This isn't supposed to be a port. That music was new 13 years ago.

Sure it has new stuff, but... damn. That music. I've played OoT since it came out on N64, GC, Wii... I'd like to hear some new sounds eventually. Especially if the visuals are changed.

Ah, the disappointment begins. D:

It's Nintendo. Next thing you know, they're oging to make it so the game plays itself so you do-OHWAIT THEY ALREADY DID THAT.

Loltendo.

Too scared to remix or even remaster the old music for teh nostalgiz. I think I'll pocket my 40-50 dollars this time around and get something else when I get my 3DS.

The real boring option would be to keep something the same on the FOURTH version of the game. At least now I don't have to hope Starfox 3DS will have new music, but that's ok because we already have lots of Starfox remixes from that game via Assault. OoT, on the other hand, seems doomed to a double life of quietly serving nostalgic tastes while also being updated just enough to sell on yet another generation of consoles.

Look, they've remade OoT like... I dunno, four, five times now? They've all been pretty much the exact same game since the latest N64 version cartridge with maybe some performance tweaks here and there, barring Master Quest which gave us some changes in terms of dungeon layout. The "no remixed/new music" is kind of a blow to me, considering Zelda generally turns out quality pieces and I'm a man who enjoys his video game musics. I just can't see the purpose is buying this "remake". I wouldn't mind if he game looked slightly worse than the original, so long as we got some extra stuff to do in game and some good music to boot.

We can only hope that old music was just a placeholder...
