Yeah, that one. I've been wanting it, but the day I went to buy it at GameStop, they were sold out. I'm going to check for it this week.

Umm, yeah. Anyways, I reread the review again, and it made me want to do my own. I really disagree with the 7/10 on the story, I think it has one of the best stories of all the games. Also, you can't really rate it down for being a cliche to the Zelda series when it's the original.

Anyways, expect a review sometime.

I played it on the GBA a few years back, I beat it after ditching it for 2 years. Couldn't beat the water dungeon :(
I'd give about the same ratings, but story would be higher.

I don't see why you guys don't think the story score is good. Explain!

Please. No ponies.

The story was alright. You can't really expect a masterpiece story from a SNES game.

You can't really expect a masterpiece story from a Zelda game. With these games, the story has a tendency to expand on itself along the way, mostly due to conclusions reached on your own.

It set the bar for Zelda stories. For the first time, it wasn't thrown into the manual, it was told throughout the game. It was pretty original, too. Why can't a masterpiece be expected from a SNES game? There was plenty of room for text and story graphics, considering it used an 8MiB cartridge instead of the SNES' usual 4MiB.

Link is awakened by a telepathic message from Zelda, telling him that she's in the castle dungeon. He meets his Uncle there, who gives him his sword and shield. The uncle dies. Link saves Zelda, and they escape through the sewers. Link is told by a man in the sancuary that Agahnim is going to break the seal to the Dark World and release Ganon. Link needs the Master Sword to defeat Agahnim, and needs three pendants in order to wield it. Zelda is kidnapped and sent to the Dark World. Link fights Agahnim, and is also sent to the Dark World. Link is then required to save the seven descendants of the Seven Sages in order to save Hyrule.

I mean, if anything, people should be calling OoT's story the mediocre one, as it basically copies LttP. Quite contrarily, everyone seems to think Ocarina of Time's story is the best story ever.

I think the stories are a huge part of The Legend Of Zelda, and that they're all really good (with the possible exclusion of PH).
