Welcome to the Zelda Replay August topic. Allow me to explain what we have going on in here for a minute or two. As this is a Zelda fansite, I think we should touch our roots a bit more and incorporate something Zelda into our daily routine! In this topic, you basically pick an zelda game (or as many as you want) and make a post stating which one(s) you're going to play. Then each day, under the headline in your post of which game you are playing, you would write Day One (Today's Date) and all the things you have done. Let me provide a template for everyone.
You'll need to remove the spaces to get the following: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Day One (August 4, 2010) Today I started a file in Ocarina of Time and exited Link's house to get the Korkiri Sword and buy the Korkiri Shield. After that, I shut Mido's mouth up and talked with the Great Deku Tree. I entered, and completed the dungeon until after you get the Fairy Slingshot and fall down the hole! Woo! 1 Gold Skulltula! (You can put in your hours played if you want) The goal is to play a little bit of Zelda each day, and share your results here. You don't even have to go that in depth; honestly, you could just write "Got Kokiri Sword and Shield, completed Great Deku Tree, pwn'd Gohma." and that'd be awesome. Think of it as a collaborative playthrough of any of the Zelda games from any willing member who wants to replay and share their experience. I hope this makes sense, as I've been pretty excited about this idea for awhile now. At the end of your playing, you can total your playtime, heart pieces, and other things you wish to share. Heck, if you see something interesting happen in your game that day, share with everyone! Think of it as a game journal, where you can write anything you that happened in the game on that day of playing. Remember: A. You can play any game you want, and as many as you wish to try and finish/complete during the month of August. B. Please keep it to one post in this topic, and don't use it for discussion other than journaling your experience. Another comments topic might be made. C. I'm making two posts because I'm just awesome like that and it was my idea. Oh yeah! So without further adieu, I declare this even to be open! I shall be playing Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, as I've been dying to play them again for a year. |

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Day One (August 4, 2010) We start off to the loud hum of my Asthma Wii starting up the disc and when I get to the opening screen, a smile came to my face as I remembered how much I enjoyed this game in the past. I eagerly start up a new file (I deleted my old one for fun!) and name myself Link, as always. Of course I also forgot how much I hate the beginning of this game, so after talking with Aryll, I go down the ladder and as I'm crossing the bridge, I fall right into the water. Of course, I lost control, so I swim to shore and have Link go talk to his grandmother and receive his clothes. I then have him return to his sister to get the telescope, and I see Helmaroc King (sp?) flying with Tetra, so I run off to get the sword and stupidly keep locking onto Orca (who I swear screams a naughty word at you when you fail) when I was supposed to horizontal slash. GO ME! YEAH! So then I excel through the rest of the training and get the SWORD. DUN DUN DUN DAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! and it's off to the Outset Forest I go! When I finally make my way up the mountain, I go to cross the bridge aaaaaannnnndddd...I fall off the side of it. Once again, I'm the master at video games! Begrudgingly, I bring Link back up to the bridge and cross it successfully this time, and make my way quickly through the forest, killing bokoblins and getting rich off mass amounts of rupees and rescue Tetra. So glad I did that, because I get to hear the wonder Aryll's theme afterwards only to have her get snatched by Helmaroc King instead. Link looks sad, and I feel sad inside. D: So I do all the rest of the boring island things and get the shield with Link from Grandma and set sail! Of course, the next part is one of my least favorite parts in the entire game, the platform jumping with the torches. I don't want to count how many times I fell, but it was around 10. >.< But I eventually get the Spoil's Bag DUN DUN DUN DAAAAAAHHHHHH! and Link is happy and we run up the stairs to answer the call of Tetra...that is we WOULD have if my Wii didn't die and say I couldn't play the game anymore, resulting in me having to turn off the system and redo the pirate ship, this time only falling once. So it all worked out. However, then Link gets catapulted to the Forsaken Fortress, in a humourous manner that I always love watching, and we find ourselves at the first half of that dungeon, with the Pirate's Charm in his pocket! And then I stopped for now. Because i'm cool like that.(Continued, same day) Alright, so Link and I don’t have the sword anymore because Tetra is a woman and bitch don’t know about trajectories, so we head up the stairs and when we get to the top, there are searchlights. Awesome. Luckily Link and I are pretty much Solid Snake Jr.s so we got past that , A-ok and entered the doors to a dimly lit room and we go into the door on the right and follow a hallway until we get to a room where there are shelves to climb and when we open the chest….just a lousy Compass. D: So we enter a door and end up on a cliff and as we go up, Tetra rings in and tells us to kick some monster ass to get it off the search light (side note: I couldn’t climb the ladder because I guess I suck at lining Link up). When we get up there, Link uses his shield and grabs the enemy’s weapon and defeats him, making one searchlight gone. So now we go the other way in the first room, but there are two Moblins being stupid catch us and…embarrassingly I get thrown in jail. Luckily the jail has terrible structure and there’s a secret hole to escape. So we leave and get the dungeon map and after going through corridors and pulling more Tactical Espionage Action with my barrel, get back outside and do in another bokoblin and shut down the second search light. Then Link and I get attacked by an “I’MMA FIRIN’ MAH LAZER” statue and I fail at climbing bunk beds for about three minutes of “R U SRS!?” but we eventually get to the other side and then some obvious advice from Tetra that we have to find the room UNDER the tower to go up to where Aryll is. Thank you so much. But it’s okay. She’s still awesome. SAVE because my Wii might die soon Link and I sneak up some inclines in barrel mode—LOLJK JAIL AGAIN! OH YEAH I LOVE IT HERE!—okay, we get back and success! Time to kill that last search light…and he’s gone! And I got a Joy Pendant. Stuff happens, I get my sword back, yeah! Link and I defeat the miniboss with much ease and sister reunion! Too bad we get taken to “the big man” by that giant bird and then tossed into the ocean, and we’re just drifiting along until a red boat comes and knows Link’s name! How odd. I’d really like to know how Link got in that boat, I mean so odd. If I woke up to that, I’d be terrified. D: But I must admit, I always loved this cove thing. ‘his name is…Ganon…” Liessss. I also find it stupid that the boat doesn’t have a sail; I mean, how useless, but Windfall Island rocks! But, alas, this is where we end for tonight. Day Two (August 5, 2010) Today wasn't a very busy day in the game for me. I talked to a few people on Windfall Island looking for the sail and then went to Zunari (man, I really hate him) and listened to his sob story and then purchased the sail from him for 80 dollars. Family heirloom my butt. So yeah, I decided to just explore the rest of the island so I could remember what was where, which didn't take long and I found the Emo Kid on the stairs. That guy is awesome. The man who forces me to listen to his story about Maggie is not, and he just wants to make money off her, from what I presume is prostitution. With no sidequests I feel like doing before the first dungeon, I get taught how to sail by a boat and venture off to the Great Sea!~ I never got why people hated sailing. I love it, personally, and only hate it if it's night, and it's not yet, so I enjoy the great music theme The Great Sea has and loft over to Dragon Roost Island. Before going to the Rito, I gain the Wind Waker from the King of Red Lions, and suddenly remember how much I hated using that thing. Enjoying the music for a moment, I finish for the night.Day Three (August 6, 2010) So starting with the awesome music on Dragon Roost Island, I run around remembering how much I enjoyed the layout and quickly saw the bomb flowers that I forgot were in this game. So I start blowing up the large rocks in the way and eventually sidle over to the other side and pull the blocks to get up to the path easier. Following it, I reach the Rito village and find the postman and the Chieftain want me to talk to the Emo Prince and I get a DELIVERY BAG DUN DUN DUN DAAAAAHHHHHHH! And am ordered to talk to Medli, pretty much the second best NPC in this game. She gives me a letter for the prince, and why the father couldn't give me his letter in the first place, I'll never know...but anyways, she wants to meet me at the entrance of Dragon Roost Cavern later (hello). I then go find the Emo Prince Komali and see him cuddling with the pearl I need (OH CRAP SPOILERS, SORRY!) and give him the letter and he basically tells me he's a wimp and I should GTFO. So I look at him like this: and he decides if I can find someone to clear out the Cavern, he'll go. Jerk. Then I run to go meet Medli and she wants to help (OMGNOWAY!) and I have to throw her up onto a ledge. Of course, I think I'm doing it right, and throw her when the wind is blowing correctly, but she still slams into the cliffside and has stars around her. Her dialogue was pretty funny, but this time I realize I must stand on this rock thing and she makes it fine and gives me an EMPTY BOTTLE DUN DUN DUN DAAAAAHHHHHHH! I quickly figure out I must get the water and revive the bomb flowers, and I do, and then i blow up the rock on my third try (yeah I fail) and Dragon Roost Pond is functional again with the perfect depth for me to swim to the dungeon! And I simply must chase the Rito, so swim over, and make the two statues fall, and quickly learn Link doesn't like lava. Go figure. So with that, I enter the dungeon and finish for now.Day Six (August 9, 2010) Alright, so I haven't played much lately...things have been going down. Today I'm going to be lazy. Basically, I completed the Dragon Roost Cavern and since this is always boring for people to read...I'll just put down: Got Map Got Compass Got Grappling Hook Got Heart Container Got Din's Pearl (the best one) Learned Wind God's Aria (Lololol Wind god's Wind, bad dialogue) Sailed to Forest Haven and saved. TOTALS SO FAR: Bottles: 1/4 Heart Pieces: 0 Dungeons Cleared: 1/7 Treasure Maps: 1/44(?) Great Fairies: 0/8 Sea Chart: 3/? Pearls: 1/3 Songs: 1/6 And I don't know how to see how long I played in Wind Waker. Day Seven (August 10, 2010) Starting in the Forest Haven, I rescued the Great Deku Tree from the Chu Chu Menace. Scary! Blah blah blah, I don't know Hylian, stop speaking it! >: O He's not as cool looking as the one in OoT, but he's much more fun to talk to. So I see the koroks (Man I miss those kokiri that aren't named Mido who needs to kill himself) So then I have to get up to the Deku leaf, which I remembered I totally suck at and fell down many, many, many times. Frustrated, I finally get up there and go THE WRONG WAY, so i have to go all the way back up to the top. Fun....X_x Eventually I get outside and don't fail at the island crossing unlike the first time I played the game. YAY. So enter the Forbidden Woods. I'm too lazy (again) to outline everything in dungeons, because it's kind of boring and I didn't really fail as much as I though, except once when I fell from the top floor the the first, which sucked. So yeah... Got the Map Killed things and opened doors Got the compass and rupees and shiz After using the Deku Leaf to solve a bunch of puzzles, I got to the sub-boss and didn't have much trouble, though the bitch kept slamming into me. So yeah, I ripped off Mothula's wings and completely massacred the body. And then I though I was going to get the bow! But...it turns out I was completely wrong and got the boomerang instead. How exciting...Got more chests, did the puzzle to the the treasure chart Got the boss key Still haven't died Got to the boss annnddddddd....yeah, I forgot what to do. Haha. When I figured it out, I wasn't very good at killing it, but I did murderize the bastard and didn't die or use a fairy. Yeah! So after getting caught in his tangle of arms and becoming triumphant, I quickly eat its heart and rescue Makar get the hell outta there! Deku Tree is all like "Yo biznatches, Makar, it's coo' just don't do that again. Thanks Link, you did more brave deeds!" And then the festival starts. Makar plays lovely. At least the Deku nuts make an appearance in this. I love how Makar is like 'There are EIGHT (in red letters) that they are planting! Yeah...EIGHT." It's like, indirectly telling me to go find them. D: I might not do that sidequest. When I go outside, the mailbox is a-rockin' so I went a-openin'. HEART PIECE NUMBER ONE DUN DUN DUN DAAAAAHHHHH Then I have to go get my sea chart updated by JERK FISH. I hate that thing. So after it gives the mapped area, I just sail off to Windfall Island because I'll probably do some sidequest stuff. That's all for now!Totals so far: Bottles: 1/4 Heart Pieces: 1/? Dungeons Cleared: 2/7 Treasure Maps: 2/44(?) Great Fairies: 0/8 Sea Chart: 5/? Pearls: 2/3 Songs: 1/6 Day Ten (August 13, 2010) I did this days ago, forgot to post it. Sorry! Alright, so it was mostly a day for sidequests on Windfall Island that I remembered. First I went and got the pictograph box DUN NUN NUN NAHHHHHH!!! Sadly I had to free Tingle, who I HATE HATE HATE DIE TINGLE DIE YOU STUPID WEIRD THING! SKLDJFALKSF But enough of that. So yeah, did that easy maze quickly (got lost on the way back, and the mice freak me out wayyyyyy too much to see them for even a second). So I then went to talk to the teacher, and she told me to get the boys back and I’ll get a treat. Too bad she’s ugly as sin, so I hope she doesn’t mean THAT kind of treat. So I talk to the Killer Bees and accept their hide and seek challenge and find all of them because I’m BA like that. CRY MOAR, KIDDIES! Yeah, totally got my second heart piece from that. And the teacher gives me 50 rupees (probably for sex, but I am 10 and what is this?) when I already have 200. THANKS LADY, YOU’RE GREAT! It is now time to talk to Elvis, and get the song I forgot all about….THE SUN’S SONG! Oh come on, it sounds exactly the same. Kay fine, it’s the Song of Passing. Which I love, because sailing at night sucks usually because the lack of music. So yeah! After the creepy man dances, I learn how to conduct that. Next on my list is to do all the Lenzo stuff that I really don’t enjoy doing. List time: Talked to Lenzo. Became apprentice after looking at his FANTASTIC pictures. Took pic of mailbox pervert. Took pic of café guy after scaring him. Took pic of two lovebirds looking at each other. Passed his trials. Went to Forest Haven and was very confused about getting the firefly. SERIOUSLY WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THAT!? It’s pure trickery, I say! So I eventually stop trying to catch the yellow ones after about 20 minutes of cursing. So I go back after funsailing! And get the PictoBox Delux. Woot. I go out to sea and pass with that song until the moon is full, take a picture of it and show ANGSTBOY on the stairs and get a DUN NUN NUN NAHHHHH treasure chart. Woo. Freaking hoo. Yeah, so next I take a picture of the ugly woman near the gates who thinks she’s hot shit, but she ain’t got nothing on Kiera Knightly . I get another treasure chart. Seriously, where do these people get these things from?! I think they all have an infinite amount under the town, it’s how the island floats.Last sidequest for today is uniting the two lovey doves. I do the stuff needed, wait two days, and get a heart piece! YEAH But I decide I might as well go do the third pearl stuff now so I sail all the way to Greatfish Island to find Jabun flaked and was killed by Ganondorf….well I wish he was, because between the genius red boat and Rito postman-san the know he’s on Outset Island hiding in an impenetrable cave with a stone. Stupid fish…something about that annoys me. But anyways, apparently I have to go back to Windfall and see the pirates, WHEE, but now the Great Sea is cursed for some reason so sailing is a bitch to do. ;-; Why does it have to constantly storm. Yeah so I get back to Windfall and stop. Edited by Acolyte_of_the_Hero, Aug 16 2010, 05:10 AM.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Day One (August 4, 2010) Today I started a new file in A Link to the Past. After reading the dialogue and getting out of bed I grabbed the lamp and exited the house. I made my way towards Hyrule Castle and took the secret entrance, obtaining the first sword and shield from Link's uncle. I made my way into the castle to rescue Princess Zelda, after defeating the guard by throwing pots at him I grabbed the big key and opened the treasure chest next to Zelda before she talked to me. I lead Zelda out of the castle and into the sanctuary, then I got the first heart container and saved there. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Day Two (August 5, 2010) Started up my file then chose to start at my house, looked at the map then realized that I just forced myself to take the long path to Kakariko Village. I thought I'd try to take a shortcut through Hyrule Castle but there was a giant rock blocking the way, so I had no choice but to take the long path. I made it to Kakariko and went into the house marked on the map only to find... some old lady trying to dance? So I talked to her, heard the story about the Master Sword, then I left and looked around Kakariko. I went into the old theives' hideout and managed to get around 100 rupees, which I then spent getting the first bottle, after that I entered the bar (I assume it's a bar) from the back entrance and got the bottle in the chest there. Then I talked to the kid that told me where the village elder is (I forgot how to spell his name :/), I made my way to the east palace and found him, didn't take the stairs because stairs are for losers Talked to him, listened to what he had to say, told him I wanted to get the pendants and the Master Sword (It was a But Thou Must moment anyway, yay no choices!) so I entered the dungeon, navigated through it quickly as possible. Got the compass (Which I didn't need), did stuff, got the big key, got the bow, went to the boss room, defeated the boss, got another heart container and the pendant. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Day 1 (August 4th, 2010) Started new game, opens with Link awakening on strange island (hence the title). I'm given a shield by the man in the house, and make my way for the beach. I find my sword on the sand. I know it's my sword because my name is on it. An owl tells me to make way to the forest so I may get a key to open up the 1st dungeon. I do so, running into a douchebag raccoon. The raccoon uses magic to make getting the key a bit complicated, so I make way and find a mushroom while exploring. I take the mushroom to a witch, where she creates a powder. As the raccoon had told me he was weak to powders (I assume from years of sucking dick for coke), I suspect I may have to make it rain on some raccoons. I do so. It turns out the raccoon was actually a man, and he has lost his memory of being a raccoon. I head forward, and discover a key. The owl then tells me to go back down to the beach and use the key to open the 1st dungeon so I may progress. I do so. 1st dungeon! Ah, it's been awhile. Controller in hand, I head forward. There are many holes in the floor. I begin to suspect termites, though this is quickly discarded as bullshit as I find my first item is the Roc's Feather. The holes were just being used as puzzles! This makes me question what kind of owner of such a beautiful dungeon would set free termites just to trick me. What a dick. Oh, and the drapes didn't match the carpet. Anyway, I've got the first item. Shit's about to get real. I head towards the mini-boss, which forces me to use my newly acquired item to avoid being hit by a rolling log with mo-fuckin' spikes on it. This is an easy task with my Roc's Feather, and I quickly dispose of him. I head forward to the bosses room, and realize I had forgotten the Nightmare Key (I had also forgotten to get the compass, but that's not a very important item, so I could have skipped it. I ended up getting later for good measure.) I head back and end up skipping the room I need, though I do notice a faulty wall. I begin to think I had forgotten to purchase bombs, and go back to the shop to check. Two things run through my mind: 1.) There is a 200 Rupee shovel where I had thought the bombs would be, and 2.) I'm not going to steal anything this playthrough. Going to do it 100% legit. I head back to the dungeon, realizing I had not made a mistake. I explore for about 5 minutes and notice there was a room with a gap separating me from a treasure chest. I jump over said gap, head into another room, and open the chest. Aha! The nightmare key! I smile at my fortune, and make way for the boss door once again. I open the door, and realize my shield is not equipped. I quickly re-equip it and ready myself for battle. The battle is quick, lasting maybe a minute as most as I take apart the centipede-like creature with 3 hits. Not a bit of damage gathered. I collect my heart piece (4, now!), make way to the next room, grab the cello, skip the wall of text, and save. I then proceed to my computer and begin writing. Day 1; Part 2 (August 4th, 2010) Fumbling around with the control pad, I make my way out of the dungeon and towards town. My journey is once again interrupted by that damned owl, though I must admit he's quite helpful. He tells me to head towards the swamp, but not before telling me he's surprised I was triumphant. Dickhead. I start to do as the owl said and head towards the swamp (which, to my knowledge, is past some well placed holes that require the Roc's feather. Well played, nature!), but not before I'm interrupted once again by these kids who I had previously seen playing a game of throw-the-ball-back-and-forth-forever-until-required-for-the-plot-to-actually-do-something-elseball (my favorite game). They alert me that the bow-wow in the town has been stolen for Moblins. Oh no! Or so I thought until I reach the swamp, where I realize a bow-wow would be the perfect tool to eating these damned lily pads that for some reason damage me when I touch them. I head towards the cave that was coincidentally placed near the swamp, and also passed some bottomless ditches. I walk in and battle a moblin (which for some reason made my wiimote rumble the two times I killed it). The first and second are easy, though I have some difficulties with the third (a moblin who throws arrows, and after awhile charges at me). It takes me a hit or two to realize I must make it hit its head on the side and attack it while it's in a daze. I do so a few times, and BAM it's all taken care of. Exit stage right, and come back out with a free bow-wow. A few lily-pad ssnacks later and I'm going into dungeon 2. If memory serves me correctly. . . I hate this one. It's boring. The only good thing you get out of it is the bracelet, which means I won't have to deal with that stupid pop up text whenever I bump into a pot. Oh, wait. Never mind. I still have to if it isn't equipped. Fuck you. Ugh, I don't want to drag this on because I really hate this dungeon. But anyway, I had to battle the boss a good 3 times because I suck. Beat it. Got the instrument. 5 heart pieces. Moving onward to the prairie. Day 2 (August 4th, 2010) I took the cute lil' bow-wow back to her owner, and then explored a bit. I ended up getting two heart pieces and now have a total of 6 hearts. This is good! I also ended up moving some blocks and going into various caves (notably the dream area, where I received some rupees for defeating a few monsters). I ended up with enough money to get a shovel and some bombs, and started saving up for a bow (I've got maybe 200 Rupees, give or take 20 or 30, so I have quite a ways to go). I headed forward and explored around, eventually finding a house that I discovered was populated by some weird guy and some frogs. He told me he had lived in the castle up north, and that I should head up there and grab him some golden leaves he had left. I did that as to move the plot forward, but not before having to start a trading quest and starting to collect a few shells. Not much to speak of, but after I did all that I got the key. Shall do the dungeon soon. Not in a writing mood right now, obviously. Edited by Komrad Ender, Aug 5 2010, 07:11 PM.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (continued from Oracle of Seasons) Day 1 (August 4th, 2010) Well this entry will be short. I started playing this game 3 days ago (August 1st), actually and haven't gotten my play session for today in yet. I beat Oracle of Seasons 3 days ago (I've played this game several times now) and immediately used the password to continue through to the next game. All that means is that I start out with a sword in my inventory and lots of NPCs give me passwords to use in the other game (which I don't plan on doing). I've already beaten the first two dungeons. Got the power bracelet and Roc's Feather. Of course by this point in the game, I have the Harp of Ages and can travel through time by using the existing time portal spaces. I'm working on constructing a raft so that I may sail. I got the flippers and the water-proof rope. Just gotta go back in time and deliver the rope. More later! *EDIT* Got the raft built, got the island chart from future Tingle. Went to the past and go to Crescent Island...where my stuff got stolen by stupid Tokay. So I ran around for an hour and got all my stuff back...by going through the past AND future. Scent seeds acquired. That's when I realize that one of those dumb Tokay SOLD my shield to a Deku scrub...so I had to pay 50 rupees to get that thing back. I got to and then saved in the Moonlit Grotto. So far I'm up to date with the trading sequence. Got a chunk of meat for giving the Stink Bag to the Tokay with the stuffy nose. Got that for giving stationary to the mysterious hand in the toilet. Got the stationary from the mail man to whom I gave a poe clock. Got the poe clock from a ghost who was stuck in his grave. I know who to give this meat to, but I'm stuck on the island until I beat the dungeon. More tomorrow. Day 2 (August 5th, 2010) Started the Moonlit Grotto. Something I always do in the first room of these overhead Zelda games is check out all 3 walls for other doors. I rarely if ever go up to start. This dungeon had a path to the left which was blocked off by some bombable and pushable blocks. So I went that way first. There were some of those rabbit ear enemies in the room. Remembering that they don't like noise, I play the Harp of Ages which kills them. A treasure chest appear and I got the map! I won't detail every step I went through any dungeon. This one is pretty small and I somehow overlooked a block pushing puzzle...so I wandered around for a while wondering what I missed. Every other puzzle in this temple was solved quickly. I eventually got the dungeon item, the Seed Shooter. I find this item to be better than OoS' Seed Slingshot (which fires 3 seeds after an upgrade). The Seed shooter allows you to ricochet seeds off walls. The miniboss, a Mole King of some sort was easy to beat. Dig him out and cut him up. The boss, a Shadow Witch was a bit more difficult. I had to figure her pattern out first. She turns into 4 shadows that follow you around, doing damage. Then she lets some shadow bugs loose and materializes and charges at you in an orthopedic line. She'll disappear if you face her to attack. You have to leave your back turned and then shoot her. After figuring that out, it was a cake walk. Dungeon beat, essence of time, the Echoing Howl, acquired. I was ready to get off this filthy island, so I headed north to the shore where I saw some Tokay harassing my ride, a giant lizard named Dimitri. I fed the Tokay some ember seeds and watched as they ran off, mouths aflame! I sail back to Lynna City (the main town) and look for whoever I am supposed to give this meat to. I get interrupted while walking around by Impa (and a parrot?). They tell me Zelda got kidnapped...and is in the tower. So I make a brief detour and save Zelda from a Donkey Kong Arcade-esque level. She gives me a ring that makes slain enemies drop double hearts. I walk around the past and present Lynna looking for the next person in the trading sequence...didn't find him. I'll look tomorrow. Day 2? (August 8th, 2010) I always get some game time in while I"m at the laundromat. I found the next person in the trading sequence. Traded the tasty meat to the Mask Shop owner for a dog mask. Traded the dog mask to the dog groomer for a single dumb bell. Made my way north towards Symmetry City. I found a carpenter boss complaining about his lazy workers and how they wouldn't finish the bridge to the city. Out of places to go because there are large holes everywhere, I leave that area only to be stopped by a Fairy! It told me that there was a strange creature lost in their woods. This would be the second time I would have to go down there and fix something. In the Fairy's Woods, the screens are all messed up. They don't link in a sequential manner. So after randomly walking up and down for a while, I run into the flying bear creature, Moosh. We are taken out of the forest and I return to the carpenter boss and tell him I'll find his 3 workers. With Moosh, I can cross the large holes. I get them fast enough and the bridge to Symmetry City is built. I head into the city, which I found in shambles (got some Gale Seeds from a tree)...So I went to the past to find out what the problem was. Turns out someone broke the nut that was at the center of the city. This caused the volcano to get angry and blow the place up. I went to the basement of the central building in Symmetry City and traded the dumb bell to the skinny guy for a fake mustache. I agree to fix the city's nut. As I'm walking around the area south of Symmetry City, I notice a patch of shallow water with one square of deep water. SUSPICIOUS! So I go into the deep water and find a side scrolling underwater cavern. It leads me to a library where an old man is researching music. He was researching time travel but was missing one answer to a clue. I play my Song of Echoes on my Harp of Ages...BOOM Song of Currents unlocked. I can now travel from the past to the future from anywhere! After a bunch of time traveling back and forth, I climb a vine covered wall into a cave where a guy will fix the nut. His ritual is more like a game. He even refers to it as a "FUN TRAP." Nut is fixed, I place it back in the city center, travel to the future, and see that the volcano is now a dungeon, THE SKULL DUNGEON. I go back to Lynna City, trade the mustache for a funny joke, go back in time and trade the funny joke for a sad story. Go back to Symmetry City and save. More tomorrow. Day 3 (August 9th, 2010) So I left off saving in Symmetry City in a house near the SKULL DUNGEON! Today, all I pretty much did was beat that. I won't get into a bunch of details. I'm noticing that OoA's dungeons are more puzzle based. The entire game seems more puzzle based. There were four puzzles in this dungeon that I had to exit the room to retry. Two of them were rooms where you had to step on each tile once in a sequential order (no diagonals, no repeats). The rooms both had statues in certain tiles that you had to go around. One was a block rolling puzzle. There was another block rolling puzzle that I didn't need to exit to retry as well. The other one was a puzzle that required the use of the dungeon item. The SWITCH HOOK. It works somewhat like the hookshot, except you swap places with whatever eligible item or enemy you hit. I got that for beating a guy with an indestructible sword and shield. He throws the sword at you, but if he hits himself with it, he takes damage. After the sword and shield break each other, just go to town on him and you get the item. Rooms and puzzles later, I get to the boss. It's a big eye surrounded by a shield of smaller eyes. Hit the big eye with the switch hook and the little eyes scatter all over the place. You are then free to cut up the big boss. Do that enough and it dies! Surprise surprise! I got a little sloppy with this boss though. I finished with 1/4 of one heart left . Beat the boss and you get the next essence of time; THE BURNING FLAME!After beating the boss, I got a clue on where to head to next from the Maku Tree. But I wouldn't have it! I was done for the day. I left Symmetry City and started heading back for my save spot, Nayru's House. One screen south of the house, Syrup the Witch's theme starts playing. When that plays, that means that she'll soon fly onto the screen. Bump into her and you'll drop a bunch of stuff and so will she. It's then a mad dash to see who can get the most stuff! I look around the area to see if I would be able to get everywhere where stuff could drop. It is an open field with halves of trees on the edges. Perfect. I decide to bump into her. But instead of items flying everywhere, the Sad Story I got from the emo kid only falls out. Syrup looks at it, reads it, cries a bit, takes it, and trades me a magic oar for it. I know who needs this! So I go to the past via my previous Song of Current's time portal located in Lynna City and head to the guy who built me the raft. He takes the magic oar and I get a Sea Ukulele. I'm not sure who to trade this to...but I doubt I've run into him/her yet. I go back to the future and save as planned before. Tidbit: I ran into a lady who gives me the password to get the Master Sword in OoS...but I don't plan on doing that if I don't have to. P.S. Tidbit: I did get the Master Sword (lvl 3) in OoS. I LIED! I then transferred my lvl 2 sword to my OoA game. Day 4 (August 11th, 2010) Didn't do much today. Went to Rolling Ridge in the past and found out that the Goron Elder had been buried under some stone. Out of places to go because of the fat elder's rubble blocking my path and because it has to be destroyed with a BOMB FLOWER, I used the Song of Currents to go to the future. I find Goron City rather desolate. Seems the Moblin King moved in and started causing a ruckus. I get my first taste of Pegasus Seeds and make my way into the Moblin King's two room fortress. He even remembered me from OoS's Holodrum. So I beat him by throwing bombs back at him. Job well done. I get some money from various random treasure chests. Freed the Goron Elder (he wasn't even scratched under there). I got a rusty key from him, went to the past and saved in the dungeon that the key opened up; the CROWN DUNGEON. More tomorrow? Day 5 (August 13th, 2010) Marched my way into the Crown Dungeon. The puzzles in this place were all very simple to solve. I made my way to the mini-boss that was some sort of manta ray blob creature that throws a ball at you. You must pick up the ball and throw it at the creature instead. The ball would occasionally disappear and respawn just so the fight wasn't too easy. Eventually got the CANE OF SOMARIA. It makes a block appear when you swing it. Puzzles involving me using that block ensued. Made my way to the boss that was some sort of ghost that wanted to play a game with me. It would create a puzzle room full of blocks. It would then split into pieces and those pieces would travel along those blocks while shooting poison at you. Use the cane to make a block that would alter one's path. Eventually fuse the pieces together and hit him Did this four times on increasingly difficult puzzles and it died. Note that I finished with 1/4 heart again. Got the SACRED SOIL. So I leave and find out that there is another essence on Rolling Ridge (crud...I don't like this place). A Goron walks up to me and tells me that he finished a tunnel and that Gorons love games. I walk around Goron City and find a dance hall. I dance their dance and get a Brotherhood Pendant. I walk around a bit more, ignore a run in with Maple (too many trees). Go to Nayru's house and save. Note: I got a passcode from a Goron to get a Biggoron's Sword. Curious, I turned on my OoS game to see all the cool stuff on my 100% file. Then I did the same for my OoA 100% file. OoS definitely has better items. Day 6 (August 15th, 2010) Continued my wandering around of rolling ridge while checking out all the new Goron Games. What a bunch of money grubbing jerks! Not only is the Goron Dance hall challenge more difficult than Subrosia's, but I have to pay 20 rupees to do it. I must have wasted over 160 rupees doing that dance. The first time, I passed and then I did it again because I was certain that I had to do it again for some reason...so I blew a bunch of money doing the Platinum Level dance...and got a Gasha seed... So I went around Goron city, playing games for items in the past/future and then giving them to Gorons for more items in the future/past. I eventually got two keys (had to do the Goron Dance again after giving the instructor a letter to get the second) and made my way to the MERMAID CAVE. This is a fun dungeon, you have to do things inside it in the past and present. I didn't complete it yet, but I got the dungeon item already, the MERMAID SUIT. Possibly OoA's best item. Makes travel by water so much better. The mini-boss that protected it was that demon that kidnapped Zelda. I bet him easy enough. After I got that, I used it a little in the overworld outside one of the caves and then saved. Day 7 (August 16th, 2010) Finished the Mermaid Cave. There wasn't much left to do after I got the Mermaid Suit. I went to the past, got the boss key and fought the boss. Easiest boss ever. It was a giant Octorok. Spin attack it when it shoots a rock, then it dives underwater...so you follow it under and cut it up. 3 salvos of that and it was dead. BEREFT PEAK acquired. Though it is called the LONELY PEAK in the item subscreen. After getting the essence, the Maku Tree told me that the palace guard was low for some reason. Now was the perfect time to infiltrate and save Nayru! But first I went swimming with my new Mermaid Suit. I ran into an elderly Zora in a hut who missed the smells and sounds of the sea. So I gave him my Sea Ukulele. In return, he gave me a broken sword. So Nayru would have to wait some more! I used Gale Seeds to warp to Symmetry City, went into the past and went to the pace where I got their sacred nut fixed. I played the restoration mini-game and got my lvl 2 sword upgraded. MASTER SWORD (lvl 3) acquired Trading sequence over. So now it was time to save Nayru. I snuck into the castle and had to step on 4 switches in the four corners of the 3 screen wide, 2 screen tall courtyard. I think I pulled off a pretty sweet move on the last switch. The button was in the middle of a square that had 2 guards circling it. I used Pegasus seeds to run quickly inside and hit the button. As a guard was just one square above and to the left of me (and closing in), I used a Gale seed to warp to the Scent seed tree one screen below, narrowly avoiding capture. So I sneak past more guards in the castle, mess up the decor a bit and then fight a sorceress Veran possessed Nayru. Hit her with Mystery seeds and then use the switch hook to pull the spirit out and proceed to cut it up. With my sharp new Master Sword, she went down fast. I saved Nayru and met up with Ralph at the Maku tree. Nayru taught me the TUNE OF AGES. Awesome! Now I can travel both ways in time from anywhere I wish. Twinrova shows up to make fun of me and warn me of some "evil king" and then fly off. Nayru goes to her house where Impa and Zelda are sitting around and I must go find more essences of time. Seems the next one is "in a giant fish." I just got the Mermaid Suit...I wonder where I'll be headed next! Day 8 (August 17th, 2010) A little late adding this entry but... To JABU-JABU'S BELLY I headed located in Zora's City. To get there, I had to do a bunch of time traveling to get to the city and to Jabu Jabu. But because the fish is royal...I couldn't enter it yet. So I went to palace to see the king...who died hundreds of years ago. So to the past I warp and find a sickly king. I'm told he needs a magic potion to stave off his sickness. I've been carrying one of those around since I first ran into Maple...I really didn't want to part with it...but it needed to be given away for the sake of further schwagg. So back to the future I go to explore Jabu Jabu's belly? No. The king wants me to clean up the ocean first. He tells me to head to a library and do research. He gives me the key and I head inside. My research tells me that a Great Fairy keeps the waters clean, but she was killed off hundreds of years ago...man the past sucks in this area. I go the the past and head to a cave where I see a lone octorok sitting in a pool of water. It speaks to me! It says it's the Great Fairy but has been cursed. It needs Magic Powder. There is magic powder in the back of the library! I go there. I need a Book of Seals to get to the back. So I go Back to the Future and get the Book of Seals which is just sitting in the back. I go Back to the Past and place the Book of Seals on a pedestal. Surrounding the pedestal is a bottomless pit. The book tells me to walk so many spaces up down left or right in some sort of order, that order leads me to another book over this pit. That book does the same thing. I read 6 books with increasingly difficult instructions and make it to the man in the middle of the room (I had to write the last set of instructions down. The others were done in one try). The man gives me the magic powder. I go to the past and revive the Great Fairy. She cleans the ocean up (making travel much easier as well). With the oceans clean and the King happy, I can now go inside Jabu Jabu. I HATE THIS PLACE! I wander around his stomach for over an hour looking for the next room to go into. It's partially a swimming dungeon and it has switches that raise and lower the water level. Eventually I make it to the miniboss, a big fish out of water. Cut its face up and get the dungeon item, the LONG HOOK. It's an upgrade of the Switch Hook that can travel faster and farther. So I wander deeper into the dungeon, but as of now, still don't have the boss key. I'll have to finish this place up soon...but the music is driving me nuts. Day 9 (August 19th, 2010) So after figuring out that I can only use items assigned to the A button while underwater, this dungeon got much easier. I got the other 3 keys I neeed and got the boss key. I took my fury out on the boss. It was easy, it shoots a blue ball at you, you use the long hook on it to swap places with it which makes it turn red and then it takes damage from its own blue shot. When it's red, it shoots red at you. Do the same thing. It died and I gladly left. Cue cutscene saying that the Black Tower was completed in the past and that the Flame of Sorrow would be ignited soon. The Maku Tree tells me that it doesn't know where the last essence is. I go down a screen and a Zora gives me a Zora Scale. I go east of town and present that to a guardian Zora who lets me into a forbidden area of the sea. I give the scale to pirates and they give me a Tokay Eye. After buying a bunch of stuff, getting rings appraised, getting a heart piece, and wandering around for a while, I go to Crescent Island in the past and use the jewel to open up a cave of trials. I pass the trials easy enough and am granted passage to the final dungeon; the ANCIENT TOMB. I save there. Day 10 (August 20th, 2010) Ancient Tomb! I'm actually writing this entry on the 21st. I couldn't write it yesterday because I was on the road almost all day. But I got play time in. Anyway, the Ancient Tomb wasn't anything spectacularly difficult...I went in there, solved puzzles, got the POWER GLOVE, lifted heavy stuff, and beat the boss. The boss came in 4 stages. It took me a while to figure out how to beat stage 3...I took so much damage doing so that I actually died on that one on stage 4. So I got the last essence, the SHOOTING STAR. The Maku Tree made me a nifty little ball, I wend and bought the last piece of heart I needed (all 20 hearts acquired), and I set out to beat up Veran in the past. I climbed to the top of the Black Tower and then confronted Veran who had possessed Queen Ambi. The fight with her was the same as last time. Hit her with a mystery seed, long claw the ghost out of the body and cut it up. The Master Sword made short work of the ghost. Then came phase 2. A giant moth thingy. Spin attack it as it flies by. The damage it deals isn't enough to fret over, so I got hit a bunch. So now Queen Ambi is awake and free. Form 3, a giant turtle. It tries to stomp on your face. Spin attack it when it reveals its face and it dies fast enough...Onox was a much more difficult fight. But that's expected given how action oriented OoS is compared to OoA... Day 10 (August 21st, 2010) My mind is a little fuzzy on when I saved...so I'll just continue here So the land is saved! But oh no! Zelda is kidnapped by Twinrova. They're using her to ignite the Flame of Dispair. Vean did her job igniting the Flame of Sorrow. "Knox," as Twinrova calls him ignited the Flame of Destruction. The evil king is born again! A portal to his tower is created and I go inside. I am greeted in the next room by a trap calld the Eye of Deceit. This castle is a puzzle. You can go up, left, or right in the next room. That leads you to an identicle room. In each of these rooms are 10 cyclops statues. Each eye swirls around before looking in a random direction. I couldn't figure out how to get past the trap. I tried using EVERY item at my disposal...so I left. I went to talk to Zelda, Nayru, Impa, Past Maku Tree, Future Maku Tree "The Eye of Deciet won't affect you Link, I just know it!" (gee...THANKS!), went to the Ancient Library that the Zora King sent me to in hopes of finding a NPC or a book that would tell me. No one is telling me what to do... So I go to the Hero's Cave (the place where you would get your sword had you not started with one by continuing from the other game. Incredibly difficult puzzles that require every item you have are here. I went in here once before at the start of the game, but saw tha I needed ember seeds to get past the first room, so I left and never went back until now. I've progressed pretty far into the cave. A few of the puzzle solutions have made me *facepalm*. There is one of those room puzzles where you have to walk on every floor tile and cover the room in red without crossing tiles or going diagonal. It took me a few hours to get it. Turns out that no matter how you do it, you cannot walk on every tile. There will ALWAYS be one tile uncovered. So you cover that space with a block from the Cane of Somaria and you get the key to the next room (son of a...). Another room had a push block puzzle in a room with a switch that you pull to cause the lava in the room to harden. Once the switch goes back to the wall, the lava quickly returns. If you fall in the lava, you respawn in the top left corner, where a portal is...that warps you to the previous room. So you have to re-enter and start over. There are 3 spaces that you have to push this block to. It didn't take as look as that last room Right now, I'm in a room with a mine cart and a bombable block on the other side of a pool of water. I think I can toss a bomb over there with good timing...but I'm out of bombs from trying. So I saved and quit. I'll reload the game and be at the start of the cave. But I can go and get more bombs. And I can warp to the room I left off in. I hope this Cave has the answer to getting past the Eye of Deceit at the end. So far I've gotten a bunch of money and a ring. I really don't want to resort to the internet to find out how to get past it. I've gotten past it before is the terrible part! I just don't remember how I figured it out. Day 11 (August 22st, 2010) Well I got past that last room in the Hero's Cave. And what did I find at the end? A RING! I got it appraised and it raises my defense three-fold but lowers my sword damage three-fold as well. Meh. So I had nowhere else to go but to Ganon's Tower with the confusing Eye of Deceit. No one was giving me clues...so I thought I'd meta game a bit. I opened up my other save files in BOTH OoA and OoS to see if there was a clue to getting past it. Turns out I've NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE! The portal to Ganon's Tower were not present in ANY of my other save files. I guess I never beat Ganon. That was it, I was out of clues. So back to the Eye of Deceit I went. And then the pattern was revealed. Like I said, you have 4 options, up, down, left, or right. Going down takes you back to the start. The eyes on the 10 cyclops statues go all googly before settling on a random direction. All directions EXCEPT the one you're suppose to go in. So with that code cracked, I moved through the Eye of Deceit. About 6 screens and I was done with it. There I saw Zelda laying on a sacrificial altar by the cursed Flames. Then Twinrova comes in and intercepts me! They teleport me to a huge room and we do battle. They fly around shooting their elements at me, I have to hit them back at the opposite sister. Three hits and they combine into Twinrova...the singular lady. The floor freezes over and a bunch of spiky ice things slide all around. I spin attack her twice with the Master Sword and she enters a vulnerable state. Shoot her with a seed shooter and she takes damage. Then the floor transforms to a solid floor with a bunch of fire pits. This form attacks with fire bats and fire balls that explode into smaller balls. Do the same attack sequence and the pattern goes back to ice...back and forth this happens until I beat her. I reset the game because at first I was just spin attacking her. I made the map change several times before I realized something wasn't working. I tried shooting her while she was in a vulnerable state after I lost almost all of my health...so I fought better the second time (I had a potion and didn't want to lose it so early). Twinrova sacrifices their body to bring forth GANON; EVIL KING! But because they sacrificed their wicked soul, Ganon emerged as only a power-hungry mindless beast. He would vanish and I would spin attack him when he appeared. At one point, he took me into some sort of vortex where he hit me a lot because the floor drew me into him. I got a few hits off while in there too. Eventually, I beat up the Mad Man Ganon. Zelda and the Oracles say some stuff... Credits roll... I get a password that I'm tempted to use in OoS... ORACLE OF AGES COMPLETE. GAME OVER Edited by CopShadowGuy, Aug 22 2010, 08:10 PM.

The Legend of Zelda:Phantom Hourglass Day 1 (August 4th, 2010) More to come later today. Woke up on the beach to meet Ciela who will be known as white fairy. Walked to Oshus' house who will be known as old fart for the duration of this journal. Blah blah blah blah blah. Old fart tells me to meet Linebeck, Bridge breaks and I get the sword. Was trained by Old fart even though i am the HERO OF HYRULE! Braved through the mountain pass into town to find that Linebeck was gone of course. Saved and turned off the ds. 30 Minutes in. Day 1; Part two (August 4th, 2010) After starting up the DSI I cut grass looking for rupees for hours upon hours (Well it was more like minutes upon minutes) And after finally getting the 80 rupees required I bought the shield and headed to the milk bar. The bar keeper made a snide comment about how I was to short to drink before telling me that Linebeck was at the temple of the ocean king. I head there killing some chu-chus along the way and head inside to find him crying for help. This 'Puzzle' took about 30 seconds before I had the sea chart. We headed back down to the dock. Along the way i remembered the big rupee that was hiding in the tree and my previous grass cutting now seemed wastefull. We find Old fart waiting who told us blah blah blah. The short version is we had to head to the island of fire or something. I set course for beetles ship only to find that everything there was too expensive for my tastes at the moment (Cheapscape) And I head to the island of fire. Blah blah linebeck whines and white fairy argues. Afterwords i head into a nearby house with a book that tells us to head east. I mark the location on the map for a upcoming puzzle. I head east killing moar chu chus and find a ghost that tells me to go save psychic lady gal (Her now official name) I mark this location before heading back to have some of my rupees stolen by a bat D:<. I mark the third torch before heading to psychic lady gals house and heading downstairs. After killing the enemys and talking to her I save and stop here for now. 50 minutes in Day 1; Part three (August 4th, 2010) Starting up AGAIN I head to the door that PLG just unlocked and head up killing whatever those enemies are called. Oh noes the volcano is erupting! After heading to the door of the dungeon and blowing out the candles I enter. I run up without any worries and get burned by the mario like rotating fire line thingy. Jumping over the gap I enter the lower room and get attacked by some chu-chus (This island seems to be big on those) And after defeating them I grab the key. I unlock the door to the north and walk the specific path without writing it down I spin and the main door is now open. I go up the stairs avoid the chu-chus and defeat then enemies and the boomerang has been achieved. Since I feel that this day is starting to drag on I will just skip to the boss. Blaaz, Master of fire! A sorcerer who shoots fireballs and splits into three. After about 3 minutes the boss is defeated and all of my 3 hearts intact. The red fairy is now achieved (Or leaf as some people call him/her) After grabbing the heart piece I am teleported outside of the temple and I save and shut off the DSI for probably the final time today.1 hour and 20 minutes The Legend of Zelda:Phantom Hourglass Day 2 (August 5th, 2010) This will be a short entry as I am feeling to lazy to do a detailed update. I went and got the power gem from PLG and completed the 3rd floor of the TOTOK heading out to cannon island I went and got another power gem and the cannon (of course.) Heading to get the ghost ship got lost in the fog and blah blah blah. Got the shovel and bought a third power gem. Marked the route on my map and went the the island below (forgot the name. The spirit one) And got the wisdom gem before saving and shutting the DSI off. 2 hours The Legend of Zelda:Phantom Hourglass Day 2; Part two (August 5th, 2010) I am going to be making this quicker since i want to move onto a console zelda and these long boring detailed journal entrys that i write prolong me beating the game. I beat the temple of gusts got 4 power gems and beat TOTOK for the second time. I forgot how many hours in i was so instead i will be keeping track of power gems and heart pieces and bags here. Power Gems: 7 Wisdom Gems: 2 Courage Gems:2 Heart Pieces:5 Bombs I can carry: 10 Arrows I can carry: None. The Legend of Zelda:Phantom Hourglass Day 3 (August 11th, 2010) Start from the temple of courage Got the Bow (still the best item) Got the big key Usual boring trip ensues Boss defeated with super uber ease Got the spirit of courage (lolitswhitefairy) Got heart container up to 6 now Bought the bigger quiver Oh hey look old fart is here and he tells us white fairy is the fairy of courage! White fairy becomes yellow fairy. Saved Edited by Kamigy, Aug 11 2010, 11:04 PM.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Currently in play. Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker Day oneAugust 4th August 4th 11pm I have opened up Ocarina of Time again, what a glorious day! I'm unaware of how many times I've played through this game. Though the beginning is rather tedious, I never get bored playing this game. :3 Seeing as I am awake for probably 12 hours, I'll see how much I can get done. Kokiri Forest. Saria is weird. I've never really liked her because I hate female characters in games. Navi is kind of cool though. Off to get the Kokiri Sword now, and I've always hated those silly rocks that move. Success! I have my sword! Now time to chop the shit out of plants to get my rupees. I always lol when I can smash random people's pots. Yay got my sheild. Off to show that Mido suck face what I can do! And now the Deku tree speaks. Forever. Inside the Deku Tree: Obviously the easiest dungeon in the game, but I sitll love it. Got my slingshot on, almost typed boomeraang. Hey guys, guess what? Twenty three is number one! More annoying dungeon stuff. And then hey, Queen Gohma! Well that took 2 minutes. End Deku Tree! Yay four hearts. Oh now I remember, he talks forever. Day 10 August 14th Sure has been a while since I updated this log. In the time I failed to update I have completed quite a large portion of Ocarina of Time as well as started Majora's Mask. Quicky, Ocarina of Time Update! I've beaten the Dodongos in Dodongo's Cavern, as well as killed the snotty brain monster in Jabu's Jabu's Belly (least favourite thing evar.) After listening to the epic speech this morning, I quickly ran through The Forest Temple as well as The Fire Temple, and have just finished Ice Cavern (also sucky.) Tonight (or tomorrow) I will get to The Water Temple, and I promise more detail! Majora's Mask: Begin! A few days ago I started Majora's Mask (lol oh dear.) and I've already forgotten how hard it was ;_; A lot of things you have to guess just to move on, nothing is really clear. Over the past few days I have beaten Woodfall and Snowhead, and tonight I shall attempt Great Bay and all of the things that come before it. However, I am super starving at the moment and am waiting the return of my mother with...DUN NUN NUN NAHHHHHH You have obtained Subway, happy days! Ohmnomnomnom be back later. <3 Day Red. Haven't really made any progress on Ocarina of Time, because I'm kinda BLEH about the Water Temple right now. So what do I do instead? The mfin' Goron Races. Never again. I have a shiney guilded sword now, though. Weeeee. Doing the Southern Swamp Spider thing now, which I've never really liked. I hate Spiders. Alright, finished that and got the Mask of Truth Then went to Romani Ranch and got Epona back. Taking a little break for now, then I'll get Garo's Mask, help that lady with her invasion and the like. <3 OKAY part 2 After getting Epona I wasted no time on silly side quests, I'll do them all another day when I feel like wasting hours of my life, woo! I ran start to Great Bay where the dying Mikau puts on the greatest death evar. HE BURSTS IN TO SONG. I'd like to die like that. I played the song of healing and died. Yayyy. I got the Zora's mask, which is by far my favourite mask because being a Zora is just awesome. I prefer the look of Twilight Princess Zoras, but I like the way Majora's Mask Zora's swim more. I'd like to comebine the two and....yeah. I'd be awesome. Anyway, I kind of sat around and forgot what I had to do for a while, then I realised that I need to go to Pirate's Fortress. Yayyy hot babes with giant pointed sticks. Not a difficult area, just kind of annoying if you don't have the stone mask, which I didn't until I got to the main compound and realised that I'd rather not have to dodge and stun all these bitches. So I reset time and got the mask and did the first part over again. Speaking of the stone mask...Poor Shiro, sitting there being ignored. Why doesn't he just move if he wants to be noticed? Anywho I got the mask and redid the first part of the Fortress, then I could just walk around the guards like I was a fly, which is awesome because you can cut them down. One thing though, there is an area with a chest which contains a silver rupee that is guarded by 3 pirates. For funzies I decided to gun them (or arrow them..) down and take it. So...if I was in a room with three of my lady friends, just walking around and suddenly one of them gets hit BY A FUCKING ARROW I'd probably freak out, scream, and try and find where it came from. But no. They just keep walking around. Anyway, after getting my money I cut some bitches down and got all the eggs. Sweet, Ruto/Lulu's babies are in my bottles. Pinnacle Rock is horrifying. I remember from when I was a kid I was like "Laaadeeefreakingdahh---OOOOHHHHMYGOOOOD GIANT SNAKE." and shut the game off because that scared me shitless. No joke. Problem with Pinnacle Rock is there are three eggs here and I only have two bottles. And like a derp I have saved the stupid seahorse so he didn't come back to aid me back to Pinnacle Rock. It's okay, after ages I figured it out and got that last stupid egg while those adorable yellow fuckers made hearts. After learning New Wave Bossa Nova I saved and quit for the day because...my face hurts from too much Zelda. I really should do the Water Temple next. Or get ready for college. But probably the Water Temple. OH SNAP, DAY ORANGE So instead of doing the Water Temple, I actually got ready for College. I know, so responsible of me, right? Right. Though, I did more on Majora's mask, like get 7 heart pieces, as well as do Anju & Kafei's side quest. I really like the character design of Kafei, I dunno why. I wish you got to see him when he was wolder. Other than that, I really haven't done much, just wondered around getting money do get yet another heart piece. I still haven't really felt like doing the Great Bay Temple, or the Water Temple, but seeing as I woke up 1:30pm today, maybe I'll stay up all night and do...BOTH DUNDUNDUNNN. Excited face. Other than that, I will also start Wind Waker, which I have only beaten twice. I highly doubt I'll get it done before August ends so I'll just continue this blog thing in my personal realm. Random thought, though... Do you think Tingle is cute? I do. I dunno why. Day 1 Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker Today I bought Wind Waker. I start up a new game with a very happy face. This game makes me think of my older brother, probably one of my favourite people in the world. I watch the opening cutscene wishing I could understand Hylian. This music is so amazing, it really makes me miss the times when my brother lived at home and we could do this kind of thing every day. I think the opening is kind of depressing, but it does lead me to believe in the split Zelda timeline created after Link went back in time to live out his childhood in Termina. It's really sad actually, how Link somewhat abandoned them. Though, the lines "What became of that Kingdom? None remain who know." sort of strike me as odd. You'd think if an entire Kindom fell to darkness it'd be written down somewhere in time. .-. Oh well, to Outset! When I first played this game I looked at at this opening scene with a kind of 'wut' face. Why is there water everywhere!? Who is that girl? And...why is Wind Waker Link so cute? I'm going to play this game twice so I can play in his stater clothes when my brother gets here. Adorable Lobster PJs. It's a shame you have to change almost right away. I liked running around in Link's clothing in Twilight Princess as well. So, I go through the beginning thing, getting the sword, saving Tetra who I really dislike at first. Then she puts me on her stupid ship and makes me play that dumb game with Niko. Now time for the epic smashing Link's face into a wall cutscene! Yay! I love his face. And, I'm sure he would be dead if that actually happened. You suck! I actually hat Forsaken Fortress because you do all that shit just to get thrown out into the ocean ;___; Oh well, King of Red Lions is cool. I like how Link is on the boat when he wakes up...Who put him on the boat? I do like Windfall Island though, even though that eskimo douche makes me buy the sail for super expensive. I like sailing though. It's awesome, the graphics are also awesome. Komali is a little fuck. An adorable emo fuck. With thanks to Aco I remembered that I needed to give him a letter then marvel at how adorable is for a while before saving and going to play Ocarina of Time. Continued: Ocarina of Time. Water Temple By far one of my favourite temples because of how...challenging it is. I also love the music. However, I hate the enemies. I won't really list all the boring crap that comes with the Water Temple. Getting keys, killing shit and wondering around like wtf am I supposed to do. Yay Dark Link! Kamigy wants me to be cheap and use lame tactics to beat him. Psshhh Kami. Laaadahhdahh Long Shot! Laaadahh more key gathering. More lame shit. I hate the fact that there are dumb little things than can jump OUT of the water, swim in the air and beat the shit out of you. Sucks man. Also my controller sucks. Tektikes will forever be my least favourite enemies. |: Morpheel isn't hard, just kind of annoying. And lol Ruto. I think I'll save for now, take a break then start the Great Bay Temple if I'm not too tired. Day Yellow This morning I am attemping the Great Bay Temple, which is a rather confusing Temple that makes me want to kill things. It is actually a video game replica of something I am very afraid of. Large bodies of water and metal. It used to take me ages to get into a swimming pool because I thought the jets were going to kill me. I got over that during my first swim season, but this still scares me. Like, if I were actually in Link's shoes I'd just have a really hard time getting myself into the water. But yes, this temple sucks. I'm actually starting my log half way through, because I kind of forgot but I'll give you a run down of what I've done. I've activated both red pumps, killed Wart and Gekko as well as gotten the ice arrows. Now I'm off to activate the Green pipes. Okay, just switched the direction of the water wheel. Aco and Vaxis are being really distracting ;_; Okay so I stopped writing but basically I hate this temple so much and all of those dumb stray faeries roooar. I beat the giant annoying fish, sent the frogs back to the Mountain Village, got the dumb heart piece and yeah. I think that's enough Majora's Mask for now....Wind Waker time! Day Yellow, Wind Waker. So I started off today in Dragon Roost, and basically just cleared the dungeon like I was reading a book. Though I miss a chest, I'll have to go back and see what that is. The grappling hook is very annoying, and I hate how it has to show you every time that it wraps around something. Yay I saved Valoo, who makes very annoying noises. Ooooooo 4 hearts now, excited! Though also very hungry. You'd think that Zora's would rule th world since it's under water, but no They evolved into beak faces. I think Komali is really cute and his hear is adorable , but Zoras are better. Emo Komali is gonna give me his red stone, happy days! You'd think that Valoo would learn English or whatever they are speaking. Just got the song from the creepy frog Wind God. Annoying douche fish painted on my sea chart, small fry. Off to the south! Ahh the Deku Tree. Much uglier than the other Deku Tree. I'm not sure if I remember liking this dungeon, but thats ago. Time for some Forbidden Forest action! Also, those boko baba things suck. DUH DUH DUH DUHHH Dungeon Map. A bunch of boring stuff A bunch of boring stuff Oh shit I fell More boring stuff more boring stuff DUH DUH DUH DUHHHHHHHHH Cumpess Uhhh more stuff More annoying lame stuff Got the boss, killed the boss, game froze Did like half of the temple over Beat the boss Game didn't freeze! Saved Makar, he is cute. I think it's amazing that when Makar plays his song the tree gives birth to seeds. Orgasm much? Thus ends the Deku Tree chapter! I'd rather not do the Shadow Temple now, so I'll keep playing Wind Waker. Making my way to Greatfish Island, I almost always get lost. Got the bombs, Miko is retarded. Uhmmm got Jabun's pearl, returned all of the stupid pearls to their dumb homes. Now it is time for a break. Edited by Shanksy, Aug 20 2010, 11:35 PM.

I know I'm supposed to say something witty and hilarious here so: Something Witty and Hilarious!

The Legend of Zelda:Minish Cap Day One (August 4, 2010) I already have two elements: Fire and Earth. Two Dungeons have been beaten: Deepwood Shrine and Cave of Flames. I have the Grip ring, one jar and 1 tiger scroll. The white sword has been fused with both elements. I walked around in the Western Wood for a bit. I eventually ventured to the bottom and found a Minish Home. The minish inside says he planted a seed near his home that refused to grow. I don't see anything but I make a mental note. I continue to explore the area a little more and find the entrance to swamp Castor Wilds. But when trying to go across I start to sink, so I rush back. Ezlo makes some sort of demand about taking him out of there so I go back out. I head back into Hyrule town after Ezlo gives me a useless hint: "We must get across Castor Wilds!" Well gee I had no idea. In town I fuse a couple of Kinstones and unlock some things: -A small hole was opened in the Minish woods due to a Kinstone. It's emblem on the map is an Entrance. The Kinstone was fused with a Romio in Hyrule Town. -Golden Treasure Chest has revealed itself in Minish Woods due to a kinstone. It's emblem on the map is a scroll. Kinstone was fused with Growler blocking the route in Hyrule town. -The Mailman at the office in Hyrule Town has decided to start a newsletter due to a kinstone. He says something about Marcy helping him. His emblem is a person on the map. Kinstone was fused with Postman in Hyrule town. I also played the woman's chicken game on the west side of town. It started out with a challenge of only throwing in three chicken in her fence in 25 seconds but then turned into four chickens in 30 seconds the next game. On the second game I noted a gold chicken and grabbed him. He flew away from me on the way back to the fence, so on the third game I grabbed him and threw his ass halfway to the fence, then picked him up and threw him in the fence. I won't be outsmarted by a chicken no matter WHAT color he is. ![]() I turned Minish at one point in the Cafe of Hyrule town. I went across a stick bridge and went into a house where Dr Wright was studying a book. (I swear it was him) The Minish inside his home gave me a clue to a treasure though: Cross the bridge that spans the rapid flow...through the land of the fearsome beast...untill you reach the misty falls...the treasure sleeps on the other side of the secret entrance there... I believe I see the area he was talking about. The bridge would be the stick one across the small waterfall just a ways up from the house. The beast would probably mean one of the cats that lurk around in that area, and the misty falls is probably the fountain that you can reach from a vine leading below. I noticed a Minish Hole there so that's probably my best bet. Problem is the only way to get there in Minish form, is to move the bookshelves together in Dr Wright's house so you can gain access out back. He doesn't let you walk in his house in normal form so that's out. So as far as I can figure, you have to move the bookshelves while as a Minish. (Unless you are somehow able to get in the house at normal size I dunno) Funny thing is.....the Minish said the treasure was an item that lets you move objects much larger than yourself. So if I need the treasure to reach the treasure area.... ??? I eventually just spurn it up as something to remember, and go on about my business.I go back to the west and find a Heart Piece behind the Happy Hearth Inn from a Minish Entrance. HUZZAH After Growler moved for some reason, I found a Mysterious Shell Trader at the bottom of Hyrule Town. I traded a total of four shells and got two figurines: Gregal and the Ghost and Spiked Beetle. I did another Kinstone fuse after that: -Red treasure chest revaled in Minish Woods due to a kinstone. It's emblem is a scroll. Kinstone was fused with Mutoh the Boss of the carpenters in Hyrule Town. Finding virtually nothing about getting across the swamp, I head over to Trilby Highlands. I found a man named Percy who said I had his "fragment" and another Kinstone fuse took place, this one removing some logs from an entrance in Western Wood. Going to the entrance I find Percy again, (Who somehow got there before me ) who says he's just been robbed, at least....that what I gathered from his poem. The woman in his house makes a mention about how to get across the Swamp. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Finally a lead. She says you have to be so fast that you can run across the swamp water........ ............ ?Well jesus lady, I could have told myself that. I figured 20 minutes was enough gameplay for the time being, so I saved up here. Edited by Falcory, Aug 5 2010, 02:40 AM.

DID SOMEONE SAY META GAME???

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Night of the 5th Day -26 Days Remain- So my contribution to this month isn't really a replay, so much as continuing my initial experience of playing through Majora's Mask solo for the first time. I remember getting this game when I was a very young tot and being horrified when the Moon crashed on my first attempt. (Incidentally, thank you Nintendo for making me watch my childhood hero die from a nuclear blast before my very eyes ) As such, being at too young an age to appreciate the ability of a video game to leave me gaping-mouthed as only this game and Resident Evil 4 have, I really never completed the main game by myself. I'd help my sister out and watch her play it, I'd goof around as Zora Link and get far enough in the game to fight Goht (the most fun and random-ass boss in a Zelda game by my counts) but I never really liked Zelda games enough at the time to play through it all. After I went through my "coming of age" to start playing Zelda games through, I found that I had loaned my copy of MM to a retarded friend who I don't talk to any more, who couldn't bother to give me the damned thing back. Yes, I still had the collector's edition Gamecube disk. But is it really the same playing the game on a botched, slow-mo emulator with a controller that isn't the N64? I'd met with a terrible fate, hadn't I?HOWEVER. Recently, I visited a local used game store in hopes of picking up a copy of Goemon's Great Adventure. (Another amazing and underrated gem for the N64, which some yo-ho stole from me) I didn't locate the game I was looking for, but lo and behold, I gazed upon a copy of Majora's Mask, complete in a used box with the instruction manual. Gold cartridge to boot. I couldn't resist. So I was in the works of completing the game for a while. I went smoothly enough, until I got to the dreaded Great Bay temple. I wan't having THAT hard of a time with it, but it was nearing the end of the 3rd day in-game, and I didn't think I'd make it, so I reset halfway through the dungeon. I had gotten far enough to get the ice arrows, and since then I've felt discouraged to continue. Finding all the fairies in that dungeon is hard enough as is, but since the flow of the dungeon is ruined by me having the ice arrows from the start, I have feared attempting the dungeon once more. Until now. This thread has given me the courage to take up arms against what is one of the most hated levels in Zelda history, and to vanquish the evil from Terminia once and for all. My quest will be challenging; not only do I strive to get all the masks and beat the game, but I also desire to get all fairy upgrades and solve as many problems as I can ON THE SAME 3-DAY CYCLE BEFORE CONFRONTING MAJORA so that I do not ignore any of the other dire pleas in order to simply defeat the greatest threat. For Majora is not the only evil lurking in Termina; the game is a fight against the inner evils of mankind as well. As such, individual side-quests will not be recorded in my "standing" section, as I hope to complete as many as possible when I end Link's cycle of 3 days. But without further adieu: Night of the 6th Day -25 Days Remain- Well, thank God THAT'S out of the way. The end of Great Bay and the beginning of Ikana Canyon were tackled today, and they may be the 2 most annoying parts of the game. Here goes. I started out by storming the Great Bay temple. The temple itself wasn't as bad as I had remembered, although there was one puzzle involving stopping a giant gear by freezing a waterfall and thawing it several times that got me kind of frustrated. In hindsight, though, it really wasn't as hard as I made it out to be the first time through the temple. As you may have guessed by that statement, I had to go back a second time to find 2 fairies. More on that later. Gyorg himself was pretty tough, though not too bad. I could see were the protected hearts would be more useful BEFORE this fight than after. Oh well. But yeah, I would have died once, but I had a fairy. My no-death run could still be valid! Like the other fights in this game, though it was an enjoyable fight, and the difficulty was pretty genuine. The fight was over pretty quick regardless, and it wasn't frustrating like Morpha was in OoT. So as mentioned before, I had missed 2 fairies and I was so confused as to where they were I had to look it up. Not proud of myself, but in my defense, they were so well hidden that one felt like I was performing a glitch to get it. What the hell, Nintendo? So Great Bay is saved, I get to practice with the band, yada yada yada. I decided afterwords, since I had a full wallet, to head to Snowhead and buy the biggest bomb bag. After fighting Goht again, of course. Damn is that a fun fight. So I reset time and plunged both the Gorons and Zoras into despair once more. Yay, funzies in Ikana canyon time! After doing some shopping, I headed East to the canyon. I rode the horse as to not get bum-rushed by thousands of exploding mice, and it payed off because I needed to jump those fences anyhow. I also remembered about the invisible guard dude, so I helped him out and got the Stone Mask. I hit the graveyard after that. This part of the stage is pretty fun. While it was still day, I woke up the Skeleton General dude and fought him. Another enjoyable fight, even though it was kind of a stupid idea to give him the Mario 64 butt stomp move. It just ruins the "You're fighting a giant fucking skeleton!" feeling. Meh. So I got the Captain's Hat (God I wish I had one of these in real life) and set the time forward to Night of the 1st Day and headed down the composer's grave with the help of the little skull dudes. A lot of bats. Ouch. Goddamn bats. The Iron Knuckle fight was also a lot easier than I remembered. I guess I never thought to crouch-block and repeatedly stab him in the nuts. So I learned the song of storms and headed to deal with Flat's brother, Sharp, who had apparently "sold his soul to the Devil." I assume this is Flat's way of telling us he made a deal with Majora, but I'm still not quite sure what Majora got out of this bargain. I mean, it's not like Sharp was that powerful or anything. I guess he's the one who was able to stop the water to let the undead take over the canyon... wow I'm over-thinking things now. Let's just go make a river so those mummies go bye bye. I kind of found the animation of the Gibdos dying by music to be funny too. It's like the cheery ice cream truck music is causing them agonizing pain. I was feeling lazy, so I snuck into the house with the Stone Mask. I always loved this part, too. It's almost like something from Resident Evil 4 or something like that. You get in some seemingly harmless house which almost looks like you could take refuge in, you go downstairs, and OH MY FUCK IS THAT A MUMMIFIED RICK ASTLEY??? So, song of healing + mummified Rick Roll = Gibdo mask. Happy happy. I also went to fight the ghost sisters to get a heart piece, which was a nice bit of nostalgia. The Forest Temple was pretty enjoyable in OoT, except for that annoying Amy block puzzle. Luckily, you don't have to deal with that, just a quick swordfight with the ghost herself. Down the well, next, and... FUCK! FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK THIS PART ANNOYS ME Remember when the reason you were afraid of Gibdos is that they would rape/kill Link in a creepy manner? Well now, I cringe at the sight of them out of fear of them... REQUESTING A USELESS ITEM THAT I HAVE TO BACKTRACK FOR. *dramatic scare chord* So this part was pretty annoying, needless to say. I won't go into much detail about it. But the Mirror Shield was acquired at the end of the drudgery, and the map from Tingle helped out quite nicely. So the Ikana Castle wasn't horribly bad, although it was annoying. It had nice music, though it was the least memorable of the 3 mid-level temples. (Woodfall has Deku Palace, Great Bay has Pirate Fortress, and Snowhead doesn't get one) I ran out of arrows for a majority of the temple, and nothing, I mean NOTHING, dropped them. Anger. Also, I was getting pretty sick of Garro encounters at this point. I picked up a nice piece of heart, though :3 Anyhow, I arrive at the roof to discover... I need a powder keg for this, don't I? FUCK, more backtracking! So I finally melt the sun block in the main hall, go through the door, get some arrows (finally) and fought the Stalfos guards/King. It was kind of annoying to burn the curtains with those assholes all over me, but not to hard other than that. The King himself was more of a challenge, though. Still nothing too bad, but another enjoyable boss battle. I learned the Elegy of Emptiness, creating a somewhat creepy clone of Link, got out of that annoying castle, (even though I will miss the dancing ReDeads) and made sure I could find the entrance to the Stone Tower. Afterward, I headed back to town, it being the 3rd day and all, deposited my rupees, and reset the clock. I had enough for one day. Afternoon of the 8th Day -23.5 Days Remain- Yeah, I felt lazy yesterday. So I didn't do anything. So there. I was thinking of taking today off as well, but I just remembered that I'm going to an amusement park tomorrow, so that would be 3 days without your daily exposure to Roth's shenanigans, so I'm definitely going to tackle the Stone Tower sometime this evening and report back to you guys tonight. But since I'm already talking, I may as well make this entry worth reading by typing a little intro to what I'll be experiencing. The Stone Tower has been an interesting concept to me, though I'm really not sure what all the hubbub is around it. Apparently opening the doors gave rise to the Ikana soldiers rising from the dead or something like that. But I'd have thought that getting Sharp, the Gibdos beneath the well, and Igos du Ikana to admit defeat would have resolved any hostility... I'm probably forgetting something, though. I'd appreciate it if anyone in the comments section could remind me the reason. Thanks! Anyhow, as I mentioned, it has an interesting concept. Unfortunately, there will probably be no undead, so this won't be Shadow Temple 2.0, though that may be a good thing this time because the undead in this game have tragically been reduced to whoring themselves out for random items and performing happy dances for Link. Still, it's got this cool "supernatural Indiana Jones temple" feeling, and it's depth is beyond any other Zelda temple I've heard of. The music is possibly the best in the game, as well. This is one section I didn't help my sister on at all, nor did I watch any walkthroughs as of yet, so I will be experiencing this temple fresh. Although, I know you get Light Arrows in the temple, and I know there is a gimmick where shooting them at a certain place flips the temple upside-down. And I know you fight Godzilla at the end. Ha ha. But I assumed that the Great Bay temple would make this one look easy. How could a "temple of doom" level ever be harder than an underwater level in a Zelda game? I was talking to my sister about my progress in the game, and I said something along the lines of, "I hear that the Stone Tower is kind of tricky. It's probably no where near as bad as Great Bay Temple, though, right? Right...? Lilly?" And then she kind of gave me a look like you give to someone with cancer. She kept details to a minimum, but she said how when you first flip the temple upside down, you pretty much get a brand new dungeon to deal with, and it gets incredibly confusing. So I guess that's how Majora's Mask made up for only having 4 main dungeons; they made them the hardest and most lengthy dungeons in Zelda history! And yes, all 4 of them are tough. Think about it: the first temple you go to has poison water, requires careful timing, has 2 sub-bosses and a boss that requires skill and technique rather than the use of an item you just got. Not to mention that you can't even CARRY A STICK WITHOUT GETTING MAULED MID-AIR BY BUTTERFLIES. And Snowhead is no exception. It's got a really weird layout and the pillar-rising puzzle even confused me in THIS playthrough, after I had gotten through the dungeon countless times when I was younger. Those bastards hide the switches and stuff. So basically if you were a little kid and you picked this game up before you played Ocarina of Time, you were up shit creek without a paddle. Woodfall Temple is about the difficulty of an average Adult Link OoT dungeon, Snowhead is the difficulty of one of the tougher OoT dungeons, Great Bay temple is like sticking your dick into an electrical socket, and apparently Ikana is like doing the same while standing on your head. Still, like every other dungeon in this game, I expect this to be a fair difficulty that provides satisfaction when I finally topple Twinmold. The way they design temples in Majora's Mask from Snowhead up seems to be having a dungeon-wide puzzle that you have to work methodically through, as opposed to the grinding frustration and lack of direction present in the Water Temple in OoT. But who knows? Maybe Stone Tower is getting ready to flip me the big stone middle finger? Only time will tell, but I doubt this game will let me down. Night of the 8th Day -23 Days Remain- So I lied, I'm not doing the Stone Tower today, but I still logged some time doing sidequests. Well, one sidequest at least. I tried to do the Business Scrub trade mission, but I couldn't get the one in Zora Hall interested in the title deed I had... I was probably just forgetting something. Who knows. But yeah, the main thing I went after was the couple's mask. I also stole some poor Goron's hotel room. Link is a douche. But yeah, I showed Kafei's mask to Anju, met her at night, got the letter, met Kafei, and gave her the pendant. Old stuff at this point. At the end of the day, I also tried the Postman's little game to count 10 seconds, but I failed (got damn close with 10:11, though!) mostly because my dad was playing the violin (somewhat badly xD) 5 feet away from me. Way to screw up my counting xD So I fastforwarded to the 3rd night and teleported to Ikana and snooped outside of Sakon's hideout for a while. When he went in, Kafei and I followed, and immediately started all the shenanigans to get the Sun Mask. I did this wearing the Captain's Hat, btw. That mask is my new best friend. I sooo wish I had one in real life. The combat was easy, limited to 3 deku babas and a wolfos. The Kafei block puzzles weren't too bad either, but there was definitely an "OSHI-" element to the 3rd room with him. I guess they have to go sort of easy though, given that if you fuck up here you just wasted a whole 3-day cycle. So we get the mask, and I teleport my ass to clocktown. I wear the bunny hood so that I don't lose any time, sprint to the hotel, up the stairs, and open the door to see... Anju by herself. Wow, Kafei is sure taking his sweet-ass time, isn't he? I mean, it's not like the moon's crashing as we speak and he has to get a wedding gift to the love of his creepy-ass purple-haired life. THERE'S LIKE 3 MINUTES OF REAL-LIFE TIME LEFT BEFORE NUCLEAR FUCKING HOLOCAUST IN TERMINA, YOU LITTLE CLIT! HURRY UP. But yeah, he made it, I get the mask, deposit rupees, and reset the time leaving that lovely couple to be crushed by the moon. Y'know, for the kids! But yeah, I considered doing the postman's hat sidequest as well while I waited for Kafei, but I wasn't quite sure what to do or if I even had everything I needed for that. Plus I didn't want to miss him or waste anytime, so I'll get that later, probably when I get the Keaton mask. Anyhow, it sucks that I needed to leave them in that timeline. But yeah, like I said earlier, I'm going to have to do all plot-related sidequests on my last 3-day cycle before kicking some Majora Ass. Otherwise, the world ends with Gorons freezing to death, a mute Zora having her babies kidnapped and killed, the undead taking over a quarter of Ikana, a ranch pretty much bankrupting, a couple never wedding, and a poor little monkey getting boiled. But those Great Fairies can go suck it, because I'm not going to all the temples and collecting their sorry asses again. Sucks to be them. But I think killing Majora breaks that spell anyhow, so *whew* But yeah, next time I play will be the day after tomorrow. I take on Stone Tower for REAL this time! Night of the 17th Day -14 Days Remain- Wow, it's been forever since I've touched this game. I had a few events that got in the way. Mainly, my folks and I went down to Washington DC for a few days, and afterwards I had a rehearsal and a concert. Busy busy. But yeah, I gathered my balls and figured I'd tackle the dreaded Stone Tower today. First things first, since I had the couple's mask, I went over to the mayor's place and got that heart piece. Afterwards, I teleported to Ikana and ran over to the Stone Tower entrance. It was kind of funny. On my way to the dungeon, I thought I'd talk to the Gibdos circling the music box house since I had the option to at this point. So I put on what I thought was the Gibdo mask, and walked over to one... to have him start raping me. Yeah, in my defense the couples mask looks incredibly similar to the Gibdo mask. Shut up. First thing's first: the Stone Tower music kicks ass. Second thing's second: those elegy of emptiness puzzles annoy the fuck out of me. You have to do them 3 times at least to actually GET to the temple, and then I had to do it about 6 more times when I kept flipping the temple upside down and right side up again >_> So no kidding that this temple is harder than the Great Bay Temple. Yes, it is more linear and harder to mess up on. However, the puzzles are incredibly challenging. Against my initial wishes, I had to use a guide to figure out that I need to bomb a square patch of soil to get sunlight in the room I was currently in. Later, when the temple was upside-down, it was nearly impossible to find a certain passage I needed to go into to find a small key. More gray hairs ![]() The boss fights were fun. The Garo master was a lot less one-sided than the normal Garo fights, and it definitely felt more like I was fighting a ninja. The Wizrobe also was a lot more fun than the ones in the other temples. Because fire was falling from the ceiling, I wound up using Darmani to roll up to him and punch him in the face whenever he was about to throw a spell at me. Heh heh, I love being a Goron. The Grim Reaper guy (Gomess, I think was the name) was my favorite sub-boss by far. It combined the use of a weapon you got in the dungeon (light arrows) with a more action-ish fight, like an Iron Knuckle. Also, the design is downright creepy, and it easily rivals the Dead Hand from OoT for design. So on my playthrough of this dungeon, I got through the initial right-side-up portion with some difficulty, as mentioned above. However, when I flipped the temple for the first time, I found myself stuck; I had no clue where to go. Hoping I'd feel inspired the next day, I saved at an owl statue and quit for the time. However, my sister mentioned later that she'd be glad to co-pilot a bit, and so I agreed. She had said it was a while since she had played and didn't remember smaller details of the dungeon, just some helpful tips. Even with our combined forces, that room with the key I mentioned above was fucking INVISIBLE. But I got through the dungeon after she helped me get off the ground (literally, I guess) and I beat Twinmold with 13/15 fairies. Twinmold was also a fun fight, and it was an interesting concept to give out the Giant's Mask for a fight like this, but I still kind of feel that Twinmold is the weakest boss fight of the 4 in Majora's Mask. Gyorg is more difficult, Odolwa feels more epic, and Goht is just more fun. Still, a giant Link fighting 2 Mothras was pretty cool. The 2 remaining fairies were easy to backtrack for. Only 1 I had missed earlier, and was easy to locate on the return journey. The other I knew about the whole time, but I passed it up at the time to avoid flipping the temple again before fighting Twinmold. So I got the Great Fairy Sword, which looks cool, but kind of unwieldy. I'm not sure what I'd use it for at this point, anyhow :/ It was afternoon of the 3rd day by the time I was all done, so I thought I'd get some more heart pieces. I attempted the Business Scrub sidequest again, and got it right this time. I think I forgot to transform into the appropriate heroes last time (i.e. you need to be Darmani to give the Mountain Deed, and Mikau to give the Bay Deed to a scrub) So yeah. 3 more pieces of heart to my collection. At that point, I had enough for a day. Tomorrow I'll try to get the Giant Wallet (from the Ocean Spider house) and either the Keaton or the All Night Mask. I'm pretty sure you can only get one of the two. Night of the 24th Day -7 Days Remain- So make no mistake, I HAVE been playing Majora's Mask, I just haven't been logging it due to minor lack of interest, but I have nothing better to do, so I'll just go ahead and do that now. I've been focusing on getting the rest of the masks and getting some more heart pieces to make sure my fight with Majora will go a lot easier. Long story short, about 2 days ago, I finished getting all the masks with the Postman's Hat being last, got 1 heart piece with said mask, 1 with the Keaton Mask, and 2 with the All Night Mask (seriously, why does that creepy old woman give you a reward for saying hurr durrrr, i dunno lol? It bugs me). Also, I went around in the Terminia field and fought the Peahat and Dodongo sisters, getting 2 more heart pieces. I'm just about all ready to fight Majora, but I want to make sure my perfect hero day in which I save the entire land of Terminia goes perfectly. So, instead of making commentary on something I did 2 and 3 days ago, I'll make my tenative plan here: Things I need to do: -unpoison the swamp -save the monkey by returning the Deku Princess -rescue Kotake (or whichever one is wounded in the forest) -rescue the cursed man in the spider house (this one will be tricky) -end the winter in the mountains -give the rock sirloin to the dying goron -reunite the frog chorus (this will be tricky too) -unblock the boulder for the races (I may or may not race, but I might as well make the goron baby happy, as this is a pretty easy thing to do) -clear the waters -rescue the zora eggs (seriously, everyone ignores the fact that Lulu's eggs are missing/dying as long as you return her voice and clear the water. What the fuck?) -do the band rehearsal thing (this takes 3 seconds) -free the undead from Ikana -free Flat's soul -help the injured invisible soldier -"baptize" Sharp and bring the river back (I'm not sure if freeing the undead does this to begin with, but I'm probably going to do it first anyway) -heal Pamela's father from his curse (see above) -allow the Skull Kaeta to permanently rest (see above, again) -help secure Kafei's wedding (seriously, how could that go on in the timeline if you don't do that before fighting Majora? Plus the reunion of Kafei and Anju is one of the most hearwarming things in a game, or heartbreaking if you have to leave them to die) -receive the priority mail from the curiosity shop guy and give it to Madame Aonuma (I'd give it to the postman to relieve his troubles, but I need the chateu romani, and it would be nice to get an extra bottle. It doesn't really matter, because he won't die anyhow; he has his whole life to liberate himself afterwards) -teach the Rosa sisters Kamaro's dance. It's really easy and helps 4 people at once. -stop the cow abduction in the ranch -protect the milk delivery Things I might do if I have time: -give the photography guy a picture of Tingle (his long-lost son) -give the postman the priority mail and return his will to live (I know I mentioned above that this might not be important, but it makes me feel good to see him happily bound off. I might just do a separate run of the Kafei quest to get the extra bottle, then do it again for my perfect day run and liberate the postman and just cough up some dough to get the unlimited magic power) -save the Great Fairy in Clock Town (this is easy enough, but I think killing Majora breaks this spell anyhow) -liberate the 4 poe sisters (they don't really even seem sentient in this game TBH, but I might still do it if I have time) -give the business scrubs the land/possessions they want -play the Ballad of the Windfish at the bar for Gorman Things I won't do because they fuck over other people: -save the bomb shop lady, because then Kafei can't get his mask back -steal the Goron's hotel room, because that's just being a plain old jerkass -giving the toilet hand some paper, because I have to sacrifice either a land title deed or a letter for this and both of those quests that require said paper seem more important than giving some creepy guy something to wipe his ass with Things I own't do because it's fucking ridiculous to attempt: -saving the Great Fairies in the temples. I'd need to go through the entire temple just to do this more or less, and that would take WAYYYYY more than 3 in-game days. Besides, like I said, they are most likely saved anyhow by defeating Majora. -turn Grog's chicks into chickens. This isn't really ridiculous so much as a waste of time, as the moon WON'T crash, his chickens WILL grow up, and he WILL see it. Considering how much time it takes to do, I'd rather not waste my time on this pointless task. -anything involving the Well or Ikana castle, because it's cured by sealing the Stone Tower -any game shows or minigames that require 3 days participation or otherwise. Seriously, wtf? O_o -listening to the old lady's stories, just becasue it doesn't really change anything at all and I need all the time I can get As for scheduling, I don't know off the top of my head when exactly I go to which areas of Terminia for all this, so I'll pretty much just do minimal planning on that end and figure it out as I go. I'll give you guys a blow-by-blow description when I get a shot at it, though, so get ready for this replay's epic conclusion CURRENT STANDING Weaponry/Upgrades: -Gilded Sword -Mirror Shield -Biggest Quiver -Biggest Bomb Bag -Adult Wallet -Bomber's Notebook -Great Spin Attack -Extended Magic -Protected Hearts -13 Hearts Masks: -Odolwa's Remains -Goht's Remains -Gyorg's Remains -Twinmold's Remains -Deku Mask -Goron Mask -Zora Mask -All Night Mask -Blast Mask -Bremen Mask -Bunny Hood -Captain's Hat -Circus Leader's Mask -Couple's Mask -Don Gero's Mask -Garo's Mask -Giant Mask -Gibdo Mask -Great Fairy Mask -Kafei Mask -Kamaro's Mask -Keaton Mask -Mask of Scents -Mask of Truth -Postman's Hat -Romani's Mask -Stone Mask Edited by Roth, Aug 24 2010, 10:42 PM.

Alright, I have my Wii now, so let's begin this playthrough of Twilight Princess. I'm unsure if I will be able to finish it before the end of August, but I'll try get as far as I can! The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Day 1 (August 9, 2010) Now that my Wii is all hooked up, I can dig out Twilight Princess and play. Unfortunately, I gotta play out in the living room on the old, tiny TV, as it's too much of a hassle to hook it up in my room. So I started the game up and used the default names for the main character and horse (Link and Epona). I actually had to adjust the brightness on my screen before I played, cause it was too dark... anyways, after fiddling with the TV settings I got it set to a brightness that I liked. Watching the opening cutscene was odd for me, since I'm so used to voice acting and smoother looking graphics. It won't take time to adjust. I get control of Link a couple minutes later and am told to go get Epona. So I ahead to the spring area to get my horse from Ilia (?, I think that's her name). Played Epona's Song with the grass, etc. Rode into Koki- I mean, Ordon Village. Didn't bother getting off Epona to search around, plenty of time for that later. Headed up to the guy's ranch to herd the goats. Nothing too tough, the horse handling in this game isn't too bad (Better than RDR at least). One of the goats got mad and I got knocked off my horse, but that's about it. After herding the goats, I jumped the fence back to the village, and was prompted to save. I did so. Now I'm inside Link's house. I climb down the stairs and notice the basement. I remember that there is a chest down there with a large sum of rupee but, I can't seem to find it. Guess I'll come back later when I have the lanturn. I go outside, and after talking to Link's Fan Club, I'm forced to go into town and collect 30 rupees for the Slingshot. (By the way, Mido, the baby is hilarious. Best minor character in the game) So I run around town, pulling out pumpkins for rupees. One of the villagers yells at me one seconds for "wasting food" and then politely tells me to Z-target him after that. While I'm collecting rupees, I use the hawk grass to knock down a bee's nest and grab something from a thing jumping on a rock in the middle of the pond. Turns out it was a cradle and a monkey took it! I took it back to the pregnant lady (fairly obvious who it belongs to) and got the FISHING ROD. Going into the store, the shop lady is all depressed cause their cat ran off. The cat is by the wooden dock, watching the fish. Hmm. I got a fishing rod not too long ago. So I equip the fishing rod and start the fishing. And boy, I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong, but the fishing easily took the most time. I finally caught one and had the FISH JOURNAL to my stats screen. However, I still needed to catch yet another fish for the cat. Thankfully it didn't take as long the second time. The cat ran back to the shop, so I went back in, got a BOTTLE HALF FILLED WITH MILK and purchased the SLINGSHOT, after Link was told he was "too old to play with toys". Harhar. Back at Link's house, his Fan Club shreeks with glee now that he has the slingshot. After a fairly simple targeting practice minigame, I'm told to go into my house, as Link's Mentor left him something in there. I climb the ladder and... augh! I take damage because apparently there was a Walltula on the ladder. I shoot the thing, which graciously gives me back the health I lost. Inside the house, I open the overly-sized chest and recieve the WOODEN SWORD. Back outside, I get another treatment of Zelda Beginner 101, as I learn to use the sword. After that, the kids see a monkey, and chase after it. I end up catching to 2 of them, but the other one (the reckless kid) continues running after it. I go across the bridge and end up in FARON WOODS. Walking forward, I find out that the rest of the forest is blocked by a blockade! How am I going to catch the kid now? But I see some Horse Grass out of the corner of my eye... But that was enough for now. Paused and Saved. Total Play Time So Far: 0:49 Total Hearts: 3/20 Dungeons Completed: 0/9 Total Rupees: 005 Heart Pieces: 0/5 Edited by Waterfox, Aug 9 2010, 04:47 PM.

I'll be doing the Minish Cap but it will be my first time playing it. Day One Zelda is walking around the corner and somebodys house. Link's house I suppose? Now she's talking the smith about Link. Oh, he's Links dad. Link's asleep, like almost every Zelda game. Alright he's awake and it's time to get moving. Downstairs we go and into the room with Zelda and Link's dad. It's time to go to a festival! I wonder what evil will await there? Out the door and north we go. Hyrule Castle. Very lively must I say. Zelda is interested in every thing. I suppose she's not your every day princess. Tales of the piccuri are being told. Finally Zelda wants to go to the castle. What's this, a Deku Scrub. It's nice to see them in another game title. I probably have to do the same thing as in OoT and MM. Use your Shield. Yep! Bye. And into the castle we go. Too bad we have to give the sword away. I have to hand it off to that guy.Time for the ceremonial. I wish we could've entered. What's this. Is this the Vatti everybody keeps talking about in the Zelda community. Yes it is. No! He's going to steal the Picori Blade. . Did he break the blade. Isn't that want he wants. Oh it's the chest. That has.......what are those? Link, move! Not you Zelda. Move! And it didn't work. Princess Zelda is a stone now. Link's in bed again. Injuries I assume up and out. The King's throne. Lets see. He wants the blade restored and only the Piccori can do it. But the knoghts wont do. Only Link. Yes a sword! Now it's time for the adventure to start! Out of the castle and into the field. It seems like something is blocking my way. Maybe I should find a new route. Nope, there isn't one. Back to things blocking my way. Oh it's branches. I cut them with the sword and continue. Now it's off to the Minish Woods. Looks like it's a dead end. But I see a heart! Wait, a hat is crying for help. Probably the wise Ezlo I hear about. I get the heart container and go to Ezlo. It's only Octorocs. Wait, I thought land octorocks were only in the the first Zelda. I guess not. They are pretty easy to defeat. Ezlo why won't you follow. Oh, you won't to be on Link's head. I suppose I should stop day 1 here. |

The Legend of Zelda:Wind Waker Day 1 (August 8th, 2010) I load up the game as I fiddle with my B button (It seems to be sticking.) Load up progressive mode and hum along to the intro for a few seconds before creating a new game. Skipping most of the dialoge as I do not care if it is links birthday because I forgot his present. Heading to grandmas house I pick up a rock and throw it at the lady (I have no idea why it just seemed like a good idea) Only to be treated to a bunch of text about sadness and the like. Getting the heros clothes and looking at the heros shield and thinking about the heros sword (Pro tip: The word of the day is 'Hero') Heading back over to sis I take the telescope thinking how AWESOME it is and how handy it will be in the future. I look to the mailbox to see the bird freaking out and i look up to see a even bigger bird today seems to be turning out interestingly. I rush down the ladder (read:fall) and head back to get the heros sword. Breezing through the training session I get it and head to the forest. Slashing all the grass along the way (mooooooney) I wander through the forest and save Tetra (shes one to talk about weird clothes.) After the text river that ensues I get the shield and do the remaining side quests and leave Outset Island... For now. On the ship I wander downstairs (breaking the pots on the walls because i am a total rebel.) Taking a few practice runs at the course before beating it (practice runs would be taking my time and letting time run out) and getting the whatever its called. And being called by Tetra. I will describe the next scene with links facial expressions. O.O ~.~ v.v Link gets thrown against the wall and I lose my sword because bi- oh wait aco already said that. Uh anyways I land on mah face and start walking up the stairs. Now I feel something in my pants and I reach out and resist from saying "Is that a rock in my pants or am I just happy to hear you? " But I digress.Heading to kick some monster ass I wonder upon the Compass oh joy now I can see that heart piece I tottally didn't forget was there . After whooping the mosters ass with the convienently place jar of weapons i purposfully get caught so i can retrieve the heart piece. Afterword I breeze past all of the guards while humming the mission impossible theme. Heading into the room with Aryll and... I get taked to Ganondorf and thrown to the side and somehow getting in the king of red lions boat.... Waking up on Windfall island I hear a eerily familiar voice only to find that this boat talks holy shit! Wandering out and- (i lost track of this and its just before midnight so i will speed this up) Got the sail and pictograph before heading to dragon roost island. The Legend of Zelda:Wind Waker Day 2 (August 9th, 2010) I land on dragon roost island and quickly run to the back to learn wind's requiem. Skipping the dialogue ( I did notice that the frog had a mustache of sorts though) I play around for a bit with the bombs not really doing anything in particular before solving the puzzle and heading into the mountain. Listening to the birds tale of woe I get a mailbag afterwords (Wow this present is almost as good as getting a tunic for my birthday!) I go upstairs and talk to Medli and get fathers letter oh yay! Go town talk to whatshisface. Emo emo emo emo. Head to go see Medli and throw her up to the ledge (after a few 'Accidents' that is) And get a bottle. Head into the dungeon. I won't be doing a play by play for this but i will detail minibosses and stuff. Got to the room with the boss door and am now heading up the ruined stairs to go save Medli (spoilers!) Easily dispatching the monsters and getting the grappling hook! Got the boss key pretty easily and am now heading to the boss room. I wander into the boss room and easily dispatch his armor. (after losing a heart due to my carelessness) I defeat the boss 30 seconds later. (the entire fight only lasted exactly 3 minutes so :/) I grab the heart container and head outside and now everything is just fine and fucking dandy. All thanks to me . Medli congrats me and emoface gives me dins pearl yaaaaay. I save and i shut down the wii for now. So it all worked out. However, then Link gets catapulted to the Forsaken Fortress, in a humourous manner that I always love watching, and we find ourselves at the first half of that dungeon, with the Pirate's Charm in his pocket! And then I stopped for now. Because i'm cool like that.
Enjoying the music for a moment, I finish for the night.
And then I though I was going to get the bow! But...it turns out I was completely wrong and got the boomerang instead. How exciting...
THANKS LADY, YOU’RE GREAT!

. Beat the boss and you get the next essence of time; THE BURNING FLAME!

I spin and the main door is now open. The red fairy is now achieved (Or leaf as some people call him/her) After grabbing the heart piece I am teleported outside of the temple and I save and shut off the DSI for probably the final time today.

) As such, being at too young an age to appreciate the ability of a video game to leave me gaping-mouthed as only this game and Resident Evil 4 have, I really never completed the main game by myself. I'd met with a terrible fate, hadn't I?

" But I digress.
