Nadia started to thaw a little bit, and although she was still very cold, she began to move around a little bit. "D-don't leave me here..." She begged. "Shoot me if you want...but don't leave me here..." "They won't be going anywhere...I need their ship if I'm going to leave..." Growled the remaining Cerberus Op, as he stood up. He pointed his assault rifle at Jack and unloaded on him. Nadia turned and fired at her former colleague, but her vision was blurry and she only managed to clip his armored shoulder. She fired again, hitting roughly the same spot on his other shoulder. It staggered him and made him drop his weapon, opening the door for them to return fire. Edited by roku, Mar 15 2012, 06:25 PM.

"Damn it." Jack said as the soldier left behind started a ruckus. He quick drew his pistol with his right arm and activated his tactical cloak with the other. He fired off three quick shots before his cloak came up and then he was in full sprint, trying to get a flank on the guy. Sarfan had no such clever strategy. "Get that girl under *Breath* control before she gets herself *breath* killed." he said, drawing his shotgun again and marching straight towards the cerberus soldier, blasting away at him with the shotgun. |

The Cerberus Op was overcome by the fire power of the three of them, and Sar's shotgun blast was the nail in the coffin, ripping apart his midsection and practically tearing him in two after the initial volleys withered away his armor. He fell over, barely held together, gasping for his few final seconds as his blood puddle grew. Nadia gasped and shivered, the previous ice attack had left her in a bad state as well. |

Jack decloaked standing over the dying Cerberus soldier and put two rounds from his pistol into his head, finishing him off. "Too much excitement. Sar, tag these crates, we'll come back for them later when this place isn't so crowded." Sar nodded and put his shotgun away. He withdrew a piece of equipment from his back and placed it against one of the crates containing weapons. The device started pulsing a yellow light which quickly turned to green. "Tagged." Sarfan said. Jack holstered his pistol "Good, lets get out of here. Come on, lets check out the landing bay." Jack tipped an imaginary hat to the other Cerberus troops. "Good luck with whatever it is your doing. I hope you understand if i tell you i hope to never see you again." the freighter captain said. He turned and left the storeroom via the landing pad exit. Sarfan chuckled as he passed the dead Cerberus trooper, admiring his work as he passed. He followed Jack through the doorway. |

She reached her arm up at them, coughed, but said nothing else. She hadn't expected much else. She may have only been a kid, but she was cerberus all the same. To them she was a blight probably. Even Nadia was starting to question the organization, but she didn't know anything else. She crawled toward the exit, looking back at her father's minion once, before departing. Those two were probably long gone now... |

Jack and Sarfan walked out onto the landing pad. Even the pad was stacked high with crates filled with ill gotten and dangerous goods. Something caught Sarfan's eye. "Is that a..." "A shuttle?" Jack finished. It was. There was a UT-47 Kodiak sitting under some crates in a lonely corner of the landing pad. It was obvious the ship hadn't been used in years. "Maybe it can still fly. Sar, grab some of those light crates over there and drag them over to the shuttle. Make sure there's nothing in them that goes boom and set them up to make some cover." Jack ordered. He didn't want to be out in the open in case those cerberus troops changed their minds. Sarfan started dragging crates towards the shuttle. Jack climbed into the shuttle and sat down in the pilots seat. He flipped the overhead switches and the holographic console switched on. "Ok, it still has power. thats a good sign. Sar, keep a lookout while i talk to this baby." |

Nadia managed to get on her feet somewhere between the warehouse and the Kodiak shuttle. She was still holding her gut, but the girl had escaped with mostly just burns, which would have probably been a lot worse had they used anything but the freezing ammo. Limping over to the shuttle. "I'm not gonna play any games... I need to get the hell off this planet. If you want, I'll help you load up your stock..." She said, limping to grab a medi-gel off the wall. She used it on herself, and felt quite a bit better. "My father has been talking to a reaper by the name of Thestalos. I have reason to believe that the implants he's developing are not of his own design..." She told them. "If they reach the mass market, billions of innocent people could end up like cybernetic husks..." She told them. "Help me out, and I'll tell you everything I know about Cerberus." Sarfan drew his shotgun yet again and pointed it at the girl. "Jack. She's *Breath* back." Jack cursed and drew his pistol as he came out of the shuttle. "Lady, i thought we made it perfectly clear that..." He stopped as she explained the situation. Jack didn't really believe her. Everyone knew the Illusive Man ran Cerberus and he'd know about it if there were Reapers playing around with someone in his organization. The look in her eyes however convinced Jack that she believed what she was saying though, and he had to admit that portions of it could be true. "Little girl, we don't *Breath* care about Cerberus. Bunch of *Breath* Xenophobic bastards anyway." Sarfan said, keeping his shotgun on her. Jack shrugged. "If you help us load some things onto our ship we'll give you a ride to wherever you want to go. but we're just an ex alliance pilot and a volus mercenary in a ship with no armaments. Taking on Cerberus is someone else's job." |

"Good god, would you put that damn weapon down please? I've already been shot once today thank you..." She growled at the Volus. She turned to Jack's somewhat illogical assessment of Cerberus. "You have no idea what you're talking about. What if it's your mother, sir?" She asked, pointing at Jack. "What if your family gets their hands on one of these upgrades, and turns into a helpless zombie? Or worse, a bastard like my father who doesn't even comprehend what he's doing to people. He isn't targetting Volus, so your friend need not worry, but you...you were a human long before you were an selfish asshole merc... unless you're an orphan with no friends, hear me out..." She told him. "Cerberus is a victim in this war, the very first victim. 90 percent of those idiots have already been upgraded in some way. They have no idea what they're putting in their bodies...their lust for power has ensured that most of them have zero. My father is absolutely insane!" She told them angrily. "My father is a deadbeat ass hole who kicked the shit out of me and my mom till i was nine and then left us. My mom was in San Fransisco... when there was a San Fransisco." Jack said. He holstered his pistol "Look, after the short conversation i had with him there is no doubt in my mind that there are a few marbles loose up in that head of his but your asking a pair of cargo haulers to take on a huge, advanced, militarized organization. You want to stop Cerberus, go to the Alliance. We'll take you to Arcturus station ourselves." Jack said. Sarfan looked over at him and shook his head slightly. Jack thought for a minute and then shook his head himself. "Sorry, there is no Arcturus station anymore. We'll take you to the citadel. You can get in contact with the Alliance authorities there. Give them a target and i'm sure they'll love to smash it." Edited by mikdatv, Mar 16 2012, 09:37 PM.
