The CCV Maverick slid home into the docking port at the Rubble. The docking arms latched to the sides of the ship and held it firmly in place while the gangway slid into position. Jack unstrapped from his chair and tapped Sarfan on the shoulder. "Come on, lets get these canisters off. I'm tired of hauling them."

Sarfan jumped down from his seat and lead the way out of the cockpit. "Why are we hauling fifteen *breath* containers of live fish anyway?"

Jack shrugged. "Apparently Krogans have a thing about fish. "I'll find our contact, you get the containers ready to deploy."

Sarfan nodded once and headed aft. "Stay out of *breath* Trouble."

Jack gave a thumbs up and headed to the elevator down to the first deck. He stopped by his room to grab his gun belt and strapped it on. He also grabbed his rifle in it's compacted form and clipped it to his left hip where he liked to keep it. He left his shotgun where it was for now. This was a simple cargo drop, nothing illegal or scandalous about it so there most likely wouldn't be any trouble.

He headed back up the elevator and walked down the gangway attaching the ship to the dock. After giving the ship a good exterior examination to check for possible damage or maintenance issues, he headed out into the Rubble to look for his contact.

A simple refuel and rearm deal gone almost completely sour. How was it that this stuff usually happened to him? Cyn couldn't stand it and had his crew deal with the blasted people who they were trying to get all of their supplies. Cyn, meanwhile, went to go cool his head. He took two extra people with him: one Turian named Valve, or Val for short and a Human named James.

He was somewhere within the main part of The Rubble now, just looking through the goods and wares that were being shown, even if there were some good sales, especially one weaponry, Cyn, nor his companions bought anything.

"You know," Valve said finally, "This is starting to get old, walking around and looking without buying."

"I know, Val. We'll head back now."

And they did just like that. He didn't want to be too far away from his ship for too long, especially with the war going on. He didn't want Couage to be ripped off by Cerberus after he stole it from them, or even the reapers to attack and he be cut off from it. It was far too risky.

Jack accepted the OSD from his contact and slid it into one of the pockets of his flight jacket. "Thanks very much. Containers will be waiting for you in docking bay 9." He said.

His Krogan contact nodded once. "They better be human, or I will track you down."

"Yeah yeah. Your damn fish are alive and well. I kept them well fed on the long trip here. Now lets just part ways, you can collect your containers and i can find some more cargo." Jack said. He didn't wait for a response before turning his back and walking away. He'd found the best way to deal with Krogan was to act just as tough as them. When he wasn't stabbed in the back for being insolent he figured it worked.

He did not see the his Krogan contact make a subtle nod to a pair of Krogan standing off to the side near a gun shop. Those two Krogan nodded in return and began following Jack at a distance. It would be bad for business if the Korgan contact betrayed their deal right there. He'd get a bad reputation. But if the human were to get mugged.... well... muggings happen all the time on the Rubble.

"Captain, we have things around here squared away. It will be about an hour before we will be ready to go."

"Good Courage," Cyn replied, smiling slightly, "We will be there shortly. Rook Out."

That was good news. Cyn through that they would be stuck here for a while, and they really needed to get at least some fuel. He stopped for a second to look at an item for display, and was rudely shoved aside by a pair of Krogan. "Watch it, Human." One of them said. Cyn would have called him the ugly one, but none of them he had seen ever had any looks to them.

"Dick...." Cyn shook his head and continued walking, which was in the same direction those Korgan were heading. They were out of sight, so they must have been in a hurry to get somewhere.

Jack rounded the corner to the docking bays and started heading down the tube. The two Krogan came up behind him and drew shotguns. "Hey, human."

Jack stopped and put his hands up before slowly turning around. "Son of a bitch. Knew this deal was too good to be true. No more live fish."

The Krogans kept their shotguns trained on Jack and approached him one step after another. Jack kept his hands up and cocked his head to the side with a look of frustration. He knew this deal would end up like this, he was just tired of being so right all the time.

"Look fellas, i know your just doing what your told, but do we really need to go through this. You got your damn fish." Jack said.

One of the Krogans shrugged and stepped forward. "And now we want the money that was payed to you for those fish. You can give it to us or we can kill you and take it off your body."

Jack shook his head. "Come on, we both know your going to kill me either way. Don't insult my intelligence."

The Korgan leader chuckled. "You are bright for a human. The choice is still yours. The easy way or the hard way?"

Cyn made only a few more stops on his way back to the docking bay's, just looking, as always. He still had time to space, but as soon as his business was finished here, he wanted to be away from The Rubble and back on his way to figuring out how to best deal with the Reapers.

Just as soon as Cyn turned the corner leading to the docking bays, he spied two krogan's trying to pick a fight with a human. In fact, he would say that they had the human overpowered with their two shotguns out. Cyn knew that muggings went on around here all the time, and had half a mind to just turn and walk away, but he didn't.

"Hey, pick on someone who actually has a gun in their hands." Cyn had his arms down his sides, but his human companion drew a pistol and his Turian grabbed his assault rifle. If something did blow down real fast, then Cyn's kenetic barriers would handle the rounds. At least this gave the man a chance to run, if he was smart.

The Korgan's attention was drawn to the new arrivals and Jack used the opportunity. He vanished from sight after touching a button on his omni-tool. His tactical cloak wouldn't last long but at least the Krogan couldn't get a fix on him. He followed up his sudden disappearance by drawing his pistol and firing an incendiary burst at the lead Krogan. The fire burst against his armor and his large form was bathed in flame.

With that set up he used what invisible time he had left to bolt down the tunnel from one asteroid to the next where the Maverick was docked.

The attack surprised Cyn and his team. They took quick cover against the walls as one of the Krogan's burst into flames. James, the human, put two rounds into the Krogan's head, putting him out of his misery, and Val, the Turian, pumped a bust of rounds into the second Krogan. He could have let him live, but he had issues with the species.

That done, the small team made movement away from the area before people started to investigate the place. After a short sprint, they were through and into the docking bay. "I Wonder," Val said, looking around, "Who that man was that those Krogan were after.

"Probably someone who made them angry. Buddy needs to learn how to watch his back." James crossed his arms, shaking his head. Cyn didn't say anything, but let his eyes look around the area, before shrugging and heading in the direction of his ship. "At least a 'thank you for saving my ass' would be nice."

"Thank you for saving my ass." Jack said after reappearing in front of them. "There wasn't much opportunity before for such pleasantries."

He holstered his pistol and took a breath. He was a pilot, not a runner. "Say... you guys wouldn't happen to be looking for work would you? I captain a ship and could use a few extra hands with... well with your kind of guns."

"Don't worry too much on it. I'm always willing to help out a human." James went to go shake the man's hand, but a hand on the shoulder from Cyn stopped him. He caught what he was saying and it seemed extremely raciest. It was, actually, because James, like Cyn was a former part of Cerberus, and, until recently, never liked any aliens. "Sorry... didn't mean to sound raciest."

Cyn was the next to talk. "I think introductions are in need before you start talking about work. I'm Captain Cyn Rook of the Frigate Courage. These are two of my companions James and Valve; Val for short. We have a ship already, but extra numbers never hurt. Perhaps we can strike up a deal." Cyn wasn't one to turn away some help, or to help someone who needed it. His work for Cerberus did paint his name bad, so now was a good as time as any to work that off.
