Contact Information: I have shrines in all major cities and airports. [Character Information] Name: Kasane, Douke Age: 36 Gender: Male Height: 5'8" Weight: 212.lbs Eyes: Green Hair: Blond Appearance: Picture A man whose very presence in a room screams, I'm an ass, I think I'm better than I am, and of course the ever-popular I might have poisoned that drink you're sipping on. He seems respectable enough if you just list his looks. A man standing at about five foot eight inches, good figure, a few scars, lightly tanned completion. He has light green eyes, an almost childlike look about them. Blond hair normally pulled into a pony tail with bangs falling on the left side. He wears his headband across his forehead, proudly showing the sand symbol. He dresses in blacks and dark purples, a gi outfit that represents what ninja once wore. Sandals, tool belt, a large summoning scroll on his back. Sounds very ninja-ish, and so far apart from the fact his job is to kill people has left no real indicator that he might have poisoned you... though you are sweating a bit now, maybe you should sit down before you read the rest of this. As is traditional among puppeteers, Douke has painted symbols across his face that fall from his eyes, mark his chin, and cross his temples. What makes this man seem cruel would be his expressions, like a lunatic he takes to wide grins and laughing whenever fighting or killing. His sneers stretch out his cheeks and make him look absolutely disgusted with what have you, and when looking upon something morbid his eyes tend to light up with a childlike wonder and curiosity. Still, even in the ninja world you can't go around killing all the time. Douke is a respected ninja of the Hidden sand after all. He doesn't wander around hunchbacked muttering about how he will kill someone, that it just too obvious. Douke seems most venomous because of his charm, he has a grin that says he is being nice and you want to punch him in the face for it. He stands up perfectly straight and actually has perfect posture. He could balance books on his head and run full speed without dropping a single one. He seems very clean, perfectly trimmed nails (Pained black), white teeth, good completion, his hair not having a single strand out of place. Its the weirdest thing, but people who look neat and proper never seem to be the first suspects when someone is poisoned. But you don't really care do you? Because you started seizing like three sentences ago, by the way; that drink might have had something extra in it. Personality: Douke's personality can be a little hard to understand without having known him for a long time. Though, once you've been around him long enough his little sayings become very clear. "It is nice to meet you" generally means "I want to kill you." "You should be careful." means "Try to die quickly." and of course "Time to die." means "It is time for you to die, because I killed you. HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Understand him a bit better now? That is Douke's type of personality, a twisted kind of guy obsessed with the idea of ending his enemies resistance in the most effective way possible; Death. Douke's mind is surprisingly twisted, to a point where killing someone really just isn't enough. Killing someone gets the job done sure, but making them insane, cry, hopeless, or any number of other things that crush a person's spirit right before their death is a million times better. Douke likes to play, toy, mock, prove he has won. He is concerned with superiority, not that he believes himself to be better than others. Douke understand that he himself is very low, he is a sorry excuse for a human and at his best could be filth. His superiority doesn't come from rising above others, but bringing them down to his level and below. For someone that is prideful he would want them to beg. For someone that loves their friends he would want them to selfishly let his or her comrades die. Take what their moral high point and destroy it. But Douke isn't a total psychopath, one of the reasons he is so dangerous. He is clever with poisons, puppets, and more than anything else words. For Douke absolutely anything can be a lie, people have a bad habit of telling all kinds of secrets about their style or techniques once a small bit of it is figured out. For Douke, he would reveal a bit of truth and a lot of lies, throwing off anyone putting any stock in his words. Lies after all, are his strongest point. You can't be a psychopath even in the shinobi world. Though he seems insane and hell bent against the world he can be very polite, understanding, compassionate, witty, and even charming. He can twists words, bend meanings, lace even the cruelest actions with a silver lining. His true nature is usually not revealed until it is too late, despite any hints that may have giving adequate warning beforehand. Though, because of his cruel and twisted nature, his love of harming both physically and mentally, he has a natural distaste for those that do the opposite. In short, doctors. Medical ninja annoy him most, as they are able to counter his poisons, but any kind of medic can draw out his hatred. History: Born as a normal shinobi to the Sunagakure, he had an unusually large amount of chakra and skill in memorizing patterns and specifics about various subjects. He seemed brilliant, but not very dedicated to his role as a shinobi. His parents and teachers worried about him, though he had the talent he showed no enthusiasm for learning some jutsu or working on accuracy, none of the usual things that genin should worry about. Though he wasn't a genin at the time, most other students liked to think of themselves as full ninja already. His teachers decided that puppets would be a good way to get him interested in shinobi work, so they introduced him to the art of puppet play. And he was still totally and completely uninterested. Who gave a damn about some guy playing with dolls, LAME! Though one thing did catch his interest, after two weeks of having puppets shoved in his face. His teacher's daughter, sweet girl with golden hair and pale skin. She had a thing for puppeteers it seemed. Now that was motivation for young Douke. He put his mind to the task and was rushed through the academy, and not long after into a relationship with Mioryi, his sensei's daughter. She was a sweet girl, who cares about that she was fun. Douke was very mature for his age and it didn't take long to 'corrupt' the innocent girl. Douke's interest in puppet waned though, once he had his goal of a relationship with Mioryi. The only thing that even held a bit of his attention in the matter was the aspect of poisons used with the puppets. Then Mioryi dumped him. He had spent two years as a genin and hadn't advanced a single step, she called him a loser and left him broken. Well... not exactly. A new idea popped into his head with a small experiment he had been toying around with in his spare time. A new poison that left its victims dazed and easily confused. He took no time to slip a dose of it to Mioryi, leaving her with half her wits and convinced that she was still in love with Douke. When her father found out he was completely enraged, but his superiors were so impressed with the poison that the ensured the punishment be light. Unfortunately he lost Mioryi again, but that story can end later. With support from the village elders he was asked to further his study of poisons and developed a wide range of poisons and puppet mechanisms for delivering them. He found the best ones were animal based puppets with natural looking tools for the poison. Then he was pushed into the wars. His study of poisons was commonly used on prisoners... and enemies... and allies that weren't careful enough. He was always pared with medical ninja as a precaution, after he accidentally killing his squad and two genin with a poison experiment. He was pushed through the ranks with his research, but even though he had reached the rank of special jounin, he was bumped back down to Jounin for his issue with poisoning his teammates. Toward the end of the war he found himself facing death for slipping a new poison into the supplies his team brought along for their mission. The team was attacked and their rations devoured by the enemy, killing them. Douke escaped the charges by claiming that he had prior knowledge of the attack and only meant to poison their captors. He was clearly lying but no proof could be found, he was placed on probation. While confined to the village he paid a visit to Mioryi, who instantly called for her father... shame that he seemed out cold. With a few poisons Douke turned Mioryi into a helpless puppet, quiet literally, for a few hours before slipping her a new drug. He had hoped to erase her memories of their time together, instead she suffered a heart attack. Douke was investigated but he had made sure to cover his tracks this time around. Still, a crime while on probation would draw the attention of the new Kage of the village. Some long range war hero. Douke had never personally worked with her on the battle field. His main partner was a respected medic nin of the village named Sasada Mayumi. One of the few that understood his nature well enough to be wary of him, and to still be alive as well. But that was neither here nor there. With the eyes of the Kage and village on him, Douke was left with no choice. He would have to play nice, or risk death, or worse at the hands of the village. As a show of good faith he offered to train a team of genin, an offer that was accepted. The arrangement was simple, the team was to undergo frequent tests for poisons and other hazardous material in their systems. They would be test subjects to see if Douke could still be trusted, if they died then the village would eliminate a threat. If they lived they would prove to be powerful tools of the village. [Battle Information] Class: Jounin (Was sp. jounin but was demoted because of his behavior.) Village: Sunagakure Elemental Affinity: N/A (It would be Fuuton and Suiton if he ever tested it) Main Fighting Type: Douke's style of combat is very simple to explain. Poison, poison, poison! He is a puppet user so he relies mainly on ranged combat, and of course close combat is his biggest weak point. He uses his puppets to distract enemies, draw attention away from himself, and of course poison his enemies. using his poisons he pulls people into desperation and toys with their minds. He likes to talk, and get into people's heads. Once an enemy is poisoned Douke is more willing to fight at closer ranges, but until he is sure that his poisons have taken effect he will stay as far back as possible. Generally Douke will use one close combat puppet and his longer range poison puppet to cause the real poison damage. Main weapon(s): *** All of Douke's puppets will be listed below his stats. Hari/Senbon A needle, or dart that is very easy to conceal in any area deemed useful. They are usually poisoned by the user to increase their effectiveness. | Damage- 1+(1/2 Accuracy) Caltrops Iron barbs that are thrown into the ground or an object to slow down an enemy that is chasing the user. | Damage- 5 Endan Smoke bombs, thrown to conceal your self to make an escape or to hinder the vision of an opponent while you make an attack. Used as a dive version. Made in a similar way as metsubushi. Kunai A Multi-purpose tool and throwing dagger. Kunai have a triangular, double edged blade. Some Kunai do not have a hilt, instead a ring that makes up the tang in the end made for quick grab, throw, and swing if you attach wire or rope to the ring. Also, Kunai blades in both end of hilt exist. The shape of a kunai can be a make-shift shovel and it does not always serve the purpose of weapon. | Damage- 3+(1/2 Reflex) or 3 + (1/2 Accuracy) Shuriken Shuriken are multi-pointed, flat throwing weapons with sharp edges. These can be thrown efficiently and proper usage may result an instant kill. Penetrating metal objects like armor is incredibly difficult, the shuriken end up glancing off usually. | Damage- 2+(1/2 Accuracy) Ninja Kodachi/Ninja-to This basically is a modified Kodachi, the blade is the same. The only differences are compartments in the sheath and in the end of the hilt. They can hold numerous items such as smoke bombs, caltrops, needles, blinding powder, etc. The sheath has the potential to be used as a blow gun. Since this sword is cheaply made, the blade is treated with less care, being used as a stepping device for if a ninja cannot reach a certain height of a wall or any other object that is climbable. | Required- 4 Strength | Damage- 6+(1/2 Speed) Poisons Spoiler: click to toggle Traits: Acadmey Elemental Affinity: Fuuton Elemental Affinities represent a character having come to realize their innate affinity and bring it to bear, making their attacks that utilize it more efficient than another shinobi who has not. All people in the world have an affinity, even if they don't utilize it. As such, even members of a clan have their acadamy slot taken by their affinity. |Point costs of chosen elements reduced by 10%| |Taken at character creation for a specific branch of jutsu| |Mixed element bloodline characters also have their second Trait slot taken by their second element as an affinity| Genin Pick Your Poison This is being accepted right now. Once it is in or out I'll add it in or just remove this part and he can be one trait short of a full deck. ![]() Chuunin Specialization: Puppetry Specialization is the strenuous study of a specific branch of Jutsu (Specific weapon, taijutsu, or a specific element). This represents a comprehensive and in depth training, and as such, a characters ability with that particular type is enhanced. Characters often have a specialization with their natural element, but this is not always the case. |Chakra(or stamina) cost of Specialization jutsu reduced by 10% rounded up, so that all fractions are raised to the higher chakra cost. Damage increased by 5% rounded down, so that fractions are rounded to the lower damage| Jounin Survival Instinct Survival instinct represents the natural and inherent desire for the body to survive above all else. In the case of someone that possesses this technique, the subconscious mind actually utilizes the bodies chakra to this end. |If possessor falls under 20% of their health, 10% of their chakra is converted into health at a 1 to 1 ratio per post until they are back to or above 20%. This effect is always active, unless the user runs out of Chakra| Sp. Jounin Avenger Pick a specific group of people such as a particular village, organization or clan (No generalities like people who use swords). Either you really, really hate these people, or your just flat out psycho. For whatever reason, when fighting against them, you are stronger than normal. |When fighting against medical ninja, your stats are all increased by 1, damage taken is decreased by 5% and damage delivered is increased by 5%(these numbers are rounded in favor of the other player)| Strength: Douke is a strong puppet user, and has amazing talent with poisons. He is an clever, and even dangerous, strategist. He has a special touch for getting into people's minds, figuring out what they are proud of and destroying that part of their life. His joy in attacking people's moral high points makes him almost fanatical in his art of puppetry and poisoning. His skill with poison isn't just in their creation but in their combination. One poison is dangerous, but when mixing them a whole new set of symptoms and effects become possible. Weaknesses: Douke's talent with taijutsu is almost non-existant. True his puppets can fight at close range, but he himself is almost defenseless in a fight of taijutsu. Ignoring the puppeteer's natural weakness at close range, Douke is also weak with ninjutsu, having trained with mostly poisons and puppets, and especially weak with genjutsu. He has difficulty casting, and detecting genjutsu. He is very difficult to work with, having a bad habit of poisoning his comrades. His arrogance and belief that anyone can be brought down leaves him vulnerable to a fall himself. If called out on his pride he may just accept a challenge that puts himself at a disadvantage. Techniques: DOUKE'S ART - Puppetry Technique [Kugutsu no Jutsu] An ancient ninjutsu art, the user of this controls specially made life-size puppets in combat using filaments made of pure chakra, extending from their fingers. The mannequins are usually fitted with all sorts of dangerous traps and triggers which the user can manually set off. Puppeteers are notorious for being extremely skilled in chakra control and combat strategy, but this is not always the case. It does require one to be efficient in chakra control, though, and usually takes years for someone to be skilled enough to effectively control over two puppets. | The Puppet that the user controls is considered to have one (1) stat point in every category and 50 base HP. In addition, the puppeteer adds half his control as extra stat points that he or she can distribute among any puppets, and can control one puppet up to 10 yards away. | 5 chakra per post | 12 points [11 points with character trait] ~Sp. Jounin:
E-Rank - Body Switch Skill [Kawarimi no Jutsu] A basic skill involving quickly switching the body with another plant, animal or inanimate object that has been previously prepared. This is used to confuse the opponent momentarily and create an opportunity to attack or possibly escape. | Chakra- 15 | The user's speed is increased by 4 when switching locations with especially prepared object that is within 1' for every 2 Control the user has. | E-Rank | 3 points - Secret Information Cards [Nin Shiki Kaado] A technique which conceals information of an individual on a card. The information is burned on to the cards with chakra and can only be revealed by the user's chakra. Of course, this technique can also be used to store information on a different object and conceal it, like a wall, a door, or scroll. | Non-Battle Skill | E-Rank | 3 points - Transformation Skill [Henge no Jutsu] This genjutsu causes the user, including any equipment he may be carrying, appear different. You can appear up to 1 foot taller or shorter. You may appear thin, fat, or in between. Otherwise, the extent of the apparent change is up to you. You could add or obscure a minor feature or look like an entirely different person. This jutsu does not give the user any special ability to mimic mannerisms, nor does it change tactile or sound aspects of the user. | Chakra- 1 (Every Post) | E-Rank | 3 points [Dokuton] Poison Construction Knowledge [Egetsunai Eizou Jinchi] The basic knowledge on how to create different poisons, to be able to create poisons with ingredients from plants and such and also from molding chakra | E-Rank | 3 points [Dokuton] Poison Protection [Egetsunai Engo] The user can by creating a thin, but protective, layer of chakra to withstand poison damage, only poison though, does not protect against any kind of corroding acid. If the user creates a technique involving to spit poison at an opponent then the user can create the layer of protecting chakra inside the mouth to not be affected by the poison. Can only protect organs or the inside of the user, not the skin | Chakra - 10 | E-Rank | 3 points D-Rank - Trip-Wire Technique [Tabi-Waiya no Jutsu] A puppeteer can set up chakra strings as a rudimentary sort of trip wire, though this requires a free hand to set up and maintain the strings, so puppet use is impossible while using this jutsu until the chuunin rank. Unmentioned chakra strings fade immediately. | Chakra- 15 | D-Rank | You can only use this jutsu if you are currently using, at most, one less puppet then your maximum. The strings have a strength score equal to your control (although they can not do damage) and a HP equal to your control for determining what can cut them. | Requires Puppetry Technique | 6 points [6 points with character trait] - Cancel [Kai] A jutsu that destroys/cancels out an illusionary jutsu on either the user or an ally by stopping his or her chakra flow temporarily. Unfortunately, the process causes a massive "leak" in chakra temporarily, how big of a chakra loss is dependent on the skill of the genjutsu user and the complexity of the genjutsu being used. | Chakra- (1/2 the cost of the jutsu being canceled) + 10 (Per point of Control the genjutsu user has more then you), or -10 per point of control you have over the opponent. Total cost to cancel Genjutsu never falls below 1/4 | You must first realize that you are in a genjutsu through RPing before you may use this.| D-Rank | 6 points - Tool Summoning [Kenzan no Kuchiyose] This jutsu utilizes a summoning scroll with various weapons or other tools sown into it. By using chakra and a small blood sacrifice, the user is able to pull the weapon or tool out of the scroll. | Chakra- 2 (Per Tool or Weapon) | Self Damage- 1 (Per Tool or Weapon) | Scroll may store up to 5 weapons| D-Rank | 6 points - Explosive Tag Technique [Bakuyaku Sagefuda no Jutsu] One of the more basic jutsu, the ninja utilizes two layers of paper that contain a small explosive and is traced with a large seal. These explosive tags can be detonated remotely, or set up to detonate when triggered. Typically, the exploding notes are set up so that they explode when something comes near, the note is touched, or a certain amount of time has passed. The tag cannot differentiate between friend and foe, but it can differentiate between sizes, to a point. It is possible to set up an explosive tag that only you can bypass by sending the correct amount of chakra to the tag, thereby suppressing the tag long enough for someone to get through. Any more or any less chakra has no effect on the tag, and one must be aware of the tag's location to send any chakra. | Chakra- 20 (Per Note) | Damage- 15 (Per Note) | The amount of chakra needed to bypass the note is set when the tag is first used and can not be changed later. If the note is set to explode by being triggered, then the chakra cost of this jutsu is paid when the trigger is set, otherwise the chakra cost is only paid when the note is remotely detonated. | D-Rank | Tags have a blast radius of 5 feet | 6 points - Soldier Pill Utilization [Keisotsu Piru no Hakki] Soldier pills are commonly issued to ninja as a food substitute since they are high on nutrients. However, talented ninja are capable of utilizing those nutrients to gain chakra or remove fatigue. [Note: For obvious reasons, Soldier pills may not be utilized with Ijutsu, or other HP/Chakra restoration techniques. Thanks] | Chakra or Hp Cost- 4(Inc) | HP or Chakra Gain- 1(Inc) | D-Rank | 6 points [Dokuton] Glue Leech [Nikawa Hiru] The user takes water or a poisonous plant in their mouth and chews it down, it becomes a thick liquid, almost like glue. The user then spits it at the enemy, when hit the glue-like poison puts itself unto the enemy and like a leech it starts to drain the enemy of chakra. Can spit 3 times. The leech is easily taken of. If the leech eats enough chakra it will explode because it gets too much. The leech eats chakra through clothes also | Chakra - 15 | Chakra Damage - 1 per post per glue leech | Damage - 5 if the leech explodes | Must know Poison Protection | Leech explodes after 2 posts | D-Rank | 6 points C-Rank - Summoning Technique; Puppets [Kuchiyose no Jutsu; Kugutsu] A variation on the regular summoning skill, usually taught to all puppeteers. The user writes a blood seal somewhere on their puppet, thus allowing it to be stored in another dimension. By performing a summon, the puppeteer can call whatever puppet he or she wishes into combat without the use of fragile scrolls. | Chakra- 5 | Self-Damage- -1 | C-Rank | 12 points [11 points with character trait] | Must have access to some of your own blood. - Puppet Adaptation Technique [Kugutsu Sokuou no Jutsu] This jutsu allows a puppeteer to change how he handles the puppets to adept to any situation. The stat points are taken from any stat from any puppet and moved to another puppet and/or stat. These changes are only temporary, and last only for the thread this jutsu is used in. | Chakra- 15 (Per Stat Point) | C-Rank | 12 points [11 points with character trait] [Dokuton] Armor of Poison [Yoroi Egetsunai] By focusing chakra into the pores of oneself the user can create a layer of poison around the user. The poison can be penetrated by anything, but when attacked by any taijutsu attack the foe will be damaged as this poison fetches itself on an enemies pores for awhile. This "armor" of poison also protects the user against any kind of poison rendering them immune against any other poison attack. The poison can be blowed away with wind jutsu but will reappear out of the users pores shortly after | Chakra - 15 per post | Damage - 10 for the enemy to hit the user and 5 per post after | Protects against any poison below the users rank | Must know Poison Protection | Poison damage lasts 3 posts | C-Rank | 12 points B-Rank [Dokuton] Poison Mist [Doku Kiri] The user spews forth a giant cloud of poisonous mist from his or her mouth that blankets an area of a 30 ft radius in a dark green mist. This mist is comprised of a weak poison that irritates the opponents’ throat and lungs causing them to go into long and painful coughing fits. | Chakra – 40 | Lasts 3 posts | B-Rank | 18 points A-Rank - Puppet Overdrive [Kugutsu O-Ba-Doraibu] By over channeling large amount of chakra into the puppet, the user is capable of drastically increasing their performance. | Chakra- 75 | Effect- Add one half your control as bonus stats distributed amongst your puppets as you see fit | A-Rank | Effect lasts five posts. | 25 points [23 points with character trait] - Carrier Puppet Technique [Baikaibutsu Kugutsu no Jutsu] Out of all the types of puppets, Tadai Puppets are the most unique in that they double as a mobile armor, protecting the puppeteer and transporting any equipment, including other puppets. Their unique design requires a very specific training, and unfortunately they can not be used at the same time as normal puppets. | Chakra- 45 (To connect to the puppet) | A-Rank | The Puppet that the user controls are considered to have two stat points in every category and 130 base HP, in addition, the puppeteer adds half his control as extra stat points that he or she can distribute among any of the puppet's stats. | Requires Puppetry Technique | 25 points [23 points with character trait] - Camouflage Concealment Technique [Meisai Gakure no Jutsu] Meisai Gakure no Jutsu is an advanced ninjutsu technique. Utilizing a high amount of chakra control the user forms a shell around their body of chakra that bends light making the user invisible. This technique is mainly used because it allows the user to use other jutsu while remaining out of sight, though it has a major drawback in the fact that the user must be still in order for the technique to work properly. | Chakra – 30 (per post) | A-Rank | 25 points Stats: HP: 660 Chakra: 1500 Stamina: 930 Strength: 7 Endurance: 7 Speed: 10 Reflex: 10 Control: 26 Accuracy: 7 Puppets: Name: Tsuru (Crane) Spoiler: click to toggle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Suppon Spoiler: click to toggle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Mekakushi Spoiler: click to toggle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Touro Spoiler: click to toggle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Spare Puppets Spoiler: click to toggle

[Doku] Red Poison [Akadoku] Since it causes three symptoms, gonna say lower it to 5 damage per post. I'm not too keen with the post count being restarted every time it's applied. I'm going to say have it be applied again after the four posts are up. [Doku] Copper Poison [Doudoku] Lower it to 5% and put up a post duration. [Doku] Green Poison [Aodoku] Stat reduction 1 and must wait until the full duration is up before re-applying. I'm not too sure about adding the increasing value upon more wounds. [Doku] Black Poison [Kurodoku] Wait until the full duration is up before re-applying. As you can tell, I'm not favorable with being able to constantly reset poison counts. Please change it. Other than that, everything else seems good to me. However, Saska might find some things wrong and it's all subjected to change. Whenever you make those changes, I'll stamp. |

Poisons cost Points. You don't get effects for nothing, though I'll go hunt down the cost calculator in a bit and crunch the numbers. |
