@Fafa jan: A handful were shot with the 50mm but most were shot with the 100-300mm. I love the latter when the sun's fully out, it's tack sharp at F8 (<300mm), F11 at 300mm. I had to use ISO 1600 because it was cloudy and the animals were in the cages (shaded), a monopod would have helped. At 100% (in my flickr), you can see 'noise' even if I used NoiseNinja. Er, I PPed all the photos to repair the lens' weaknesses. I dream of course of the day when I don't have to PP but I guess even photos taken with L or primes need a little PP, right?

(OT) I'm still looking for a non-L that has IS to replace the 100-300mm in my bag. I'm considering the 28-135mm or the 85mm. A part of me wants to invest in either a Tammy 17-50 2.8 or a Sigma 24-70 2.8 but I'm just concerned about future compatibility. I know I need not worry too much because buying these 3rd party lenses now would allow me to shoot technically good photos early. If I could find these 2nd hand from amateur photogs, then I'd be happy. Swerte lagi kaayo newbie kay nakapalit siya Sigma 24-70 2.8 for only 4T petot.

I'm just not convinced yet buying the 3rd party lenses new. I mean if I could hold off and really save at least 70K (might take me a year), then at least with that money, my choices are wider. Really have to decide what genre of photography I'd like to sink my teeth into. Hay, the decisions of a poor-tographer.

@littledrumz: :) I'd like to thank my sponsor - p(toot) Adobe Photoshop CS2. The last four were unusable off-cam in my opinion but with Photoshop, anything is possible. (Related thread: Cebu Photo→Share a Photo→Unclassified→Defocused, wink wink).

@aris: :) Don't forget to shoot the model planes sa SM Northwing on Friday bro. Kaw na lang create thread sa Events kay ikaw guro una or one sa mauna. Sat or Sun pa mi ako anak adto. Use the kit lens as it has a very close minimum focusing distance.
