@kit-lens owners: (off topic) Don't underestimate the power of the kit-lens. While 'better' lenses will indeed help you take 'technically better' photos, a good photographer will be able to use any lens to take beautiful photos. Take a look at these photos taken with the kit-lens and unless you pixel-peep, can you truly differentiate them from those taken with more expensive lenses: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=8700233&postcount=587 http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=8700215&postcount=586 Or how about this from a $80 lens (Super Takumar 28mm 3.5): http://www.flickr.com/photos/35667607@N04/3880096187/in/pool-takumar28mm http://www.flickr.com/photos/rhauer/3885039242/in/pool-takumar28mm http://www.flickr.com/photos/mjlsha/3915039092/in/pool-takumar28mm http://www.flickr.com/photos/nesster/2730360647/in/pool-takumar28mm Or how about these street photographs in this site, some of them were shot from the hip and yet the photos have a feel to them that I don't find in other photos http://www.in-public.com/photographers Develop your "eye" by taking lots of photos. A sniper can only get better by shooting lots of targets. (end off topic) Edited by cmontoya, Sep 24 2009, 04:01 AM.
