@bertobertz: I think for night shots, you can use f/5.6 or f/8 using a tripod to get the sharpest image possible. Vary your shutter speed from 1 to 15 seconds. Personally, I rarely use an aperture bigger than f/5.6 at night unless you want to play around with DOF. I can't wait to try night photography myself but I still don't know the best place to do it. |

when I shoot my night shot specially landscape I usually set my aperture to f4 or f8 (f8 or f11 if I want some pointy starlike post lamp) then shutter speed to 30 or bulb (it depends on the surroundings) and set my white ballance to tungsten. use UWA or WA lenses for best result I also use remote and of course the tripod ![]() for metering I use matrix metering I also remove uv filters on my lens to avoid ghosting and also use lens hood to avoid glare ![]() |

@bertobertz: As long as you find the photos beautiful, laging okay! Unless you're shooting for somebody else, I think the photos you take are for your own viewing pleasure. Maayo gani mo naka night-shot na, ako wala pa. Candle-lit ug flashlight-lit human na so in a way naka-try nako "night photography" but not outside.

i2 Building. Roofdeck. It's illegal, actually, I have to study the guard's movements so I can sneak in. They won't let anybody go to the roofdeck and shoot without written authorization from the management. ![]() Nasakpan pa jud ko sa guard ani, maau gali humana na ko shot. =)) |
