@moogley: Honestly, there are times when I don't use noise reduction software just to remind myself that there are more important things in capturing photos. Your photo above is another reminder of that personal belief. If you can get a hold of a copy of PhotoshopCafe's Perfect Exposure for Digital Photography DVD tutorial (don't ask me where because how and where I got it is ay-el-el-ee-gee-ey-el). Now, I know how to avoid blownout highlights I look forward to practising the theory on Saturday and Sunday. The key is to meter off a middle gray tone or a familiar tone and adjust the shutter/aperture accordingly and then meter off a highlight to ensure that it isn't going over +2 (mu-blink kung naa chance mu-overexpose). Basically, it's a review of the Zone System (digital cams use zones 2 to 6 where 5 represents midtones).

@cmontoya: [eelegul] hahaha. ill try to search for some clips online. As for the theory, I'll try it out tomorrow! I'm just hoping I can shoot something good. edit: you were right about the belief thing ![]() @newbiedigital: i checked out the site. its pretty cool. nag download pako sa demo edition ![]() EDIT: I tried using Neat Image on the photo above. I only took out the noise near the moon. <-unedited <-editedThe moon looked sort of 'unreal' for me and I guess it blurred a lot of details out. But on the other hand, naka help man sad ang neat image with some of my images. Edited by moogley, May 11 2009, 06:41 AM.

The Non-Photographer
|
@moogley: NeatImage took out the noise and most of the details. apply some sharpening to counter the effects. also try to underexpose the moon next time so the moon won't be blown out and you can see the craters
