Out of Character Your Name: I'll stick with my character's name  Where You Found Us: What Vexes All Men Experience: Approximately 5-6 years role playing. I've role played many different things. Example: Lord of the Rings, Secret Window, The Labyrinth, Edward Scissorhands, Interview With A Vampire, Queen of the Damned, etc. In Character First Name: James Last Name: Norrington Gender: Male Age: 36 Appearance: Approximately six feet tall, depending on what boots he's wearing, and 215 pounds. Not fat nor chubby, lean and toned but not muscular. Long arms and legs that are perfect for climbing into the rigging. Facial hair ranges from scruffy to full beard, as of late his face is never clean shaven. Green eyes with gold flecks, very aristocratic facial features. ~Skin Tone: Fair for a man of the sea, but he never was one to hold a tan. ~Hair Colour: Black ~Face Claim: Jack Davenport ~Accent/Phonetics: English accent History: Born to Nigel and Bella Norrington in London. Father was a Commodore of the English Navy and was re stationed in Port Royal. Once they settled into their new home the town was raided by pirates whom killed his mother and father. The only reason James is alive is his mother, Bella, pushed him into a crawlspace only big enough for one and told him not to make a sound until the cannon fire stopped. James was only nine years of age at this point and was taken in by soon to be Governor Swann. [If theres a Swann ever and they want me to change this, I will :-)] Weatherby helped James until he had made enough money to fix up a place of his own. He also helped James climb the ranks to Commodore and later Admiral. Also expected a wedding between James and his daughter Elizabeth, but as we know Elizabeth had other things on his mind. While marooned off the coast of Tripoli James became friendly with a native tribe and this is where he got his tattoo. He fell in love with the chief's daughter when the chief found out about her pregnancy he decapitated her before a grief stricken James. Managing to escape from the two holding him down he hid deep in the jungle, picking off members of the tribe one by one in the night. Until there was only the chief left. Using dried timber he set a signal fire daily until he was picked up by a merchant vessel. The vessel left him in Tortuga to go off gallivanting with Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew of miscreants. Which leaves us as to how James would be alive. It would appear that a one Miss Turner was very persuasive and had him resurrected from the locker, on a hope and promise that he would be the missing piece to taking the East India Trading Company down. The last thing James remembers before he woke in that shack on the swamp was walking endlessly. Searching for life and water. And then nothing but pain, red hot, scorching pain. Smoke wafted from his body, mouth and nasal passages as he writhed on the floor. The next memory he has is water. Drinking nothing but water and a fresh outfit. His old worn coat, black breeches, and a poet shirt [never fully tied.] Currently residing in Tortuga, waiting for a ship fit for his services or an uprising. Anything to prove he came back for a reason. ~Family Member(s): Deceased ~Crush: Elizabeth Swann Personality: For the most part James is naturally a very laid back man, but obviously he does not show it to many people. Most of his life he's had to be very stern and uptight which he, regretfully or not, has gotten used to. James is skilled in fencing, boxing and has a decent shot. Being in the Navy he's learned respect and honor, but with the life he leads now those two qualities rarely ever coincide. When James was marooned off the coast of Tripoli, his survival instincts came into play [until the members of the tribe and him werent trying to kill each other ;)], so he's very good at living off the land, so to speak. James has an affinity for being intoxicated, which often gets him into a lot of trouble. James is also quite addicted to the fairer sex [if he's in the mood the same sex. those are interesting roleplays...] and pipe tobacco. While he is notorious for being stern, once he's decided to open himself to another he often becomes blinded by that feeling and is easily manipulated. ~Quirks: Claustrophobia, from listening to the destruction of his home while being inside the crawlspace. Obviously with working and at times living on ships James has come a long way and adapted, but under the right conditions James will panic. ~Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Profession: Pirate, former Naval Officer ~Rank: Former Admiral ~Weapons: James has the sword the late Governor Swann gifted him and also a worn and tattered old black coat, with it's golden fringe now yellowed and stained, which he has sewn panels into the back of that conceal two loaded pistols. ~Talents: He was born to be a man of the sea. His lust for revenge fueled his desire to rid the world of pirates. But now that the tables have been turned and James sees the world for what it really is, he's willing to walk over to the dark side. ~Other: Hmm.... yes! Was branded a Pirate on a raid he was involved with while a part of Captain Jack Sparrow's crew; has a tattoo of a compass on his back. Assorted scars from many different fights and many different weapons. Burn scar on his right shoulder blade. Secret Word: tatterdemalion |
