Zen

December 21, 2012: The sufficiently advanced nations of the world sign the Nuclear Weapons Disposal Act, a promise to dispose of every last nuke by June of 2013.

June 2013: Fissile materials are now essentially nonexistent, except in theory.

July 2014: The United States, Canada, and Mexico sign the NAMPA--the North American Mutual Protection Agreement. This effectively binds North America into one country in all but name.

September 2014: China, due to a series of land and trade disputes with Russia and Mongolia, declares war on its neighbors, angering much of the world.

December 2014: China has effectively taken over Mongolia, simply sweeping straight north and east through the country. Chinese and Russian troops mass on each side of the strained border.

February 2015: After a standoff lasting two months, Chinese soldiers invade Russia.

April 2016: Fourteen months of intense fighting finally ends in a Chinese victory.

July 2016: The world begins subtly preparing for war.

November 2016: The Chinese military begins a hostile takeover of the rest of Asia and the Middle East.

August 14, 2017: The political situation becomes even more strained at this point; China develops its own version of the Warsaw Pact, dubbed the Pyongyang Pact.

September 2017: China's second campaign in three years is complete; all of Asia and the Islamic countries of the Middle East have fallen under the Communists' sway.

June 2018: The European Union's troop buildup at its eastern borders becomes more plain and almost rushed than before; the EU leaders fear that the Chinese will attempt to conquer Europe next.

August 14, 2018: On the first anniversary of the Pyongyang Pact, Russians across their homeland revolt. The Chinese response is swift: battalion upon battalion of conscripted Chinese soldiers are stationed in formerly Russian cities and towns.

February 28, 2019: The People's Republic of China invades Greece.

March 21, 2019: Despite a hard-fought defense for every inch of ground, Greece is taken. Europe declares war on China.

March 25, 2019: Precisely four days after the Europeans declare war on the Chinese, the nations of North America do as well.

April 1, 2019: Few decisive battles have been waged in the week since war was declared. The Russians rebel again, taking back Moscow.

And thus the experience of Call to Arms begins.
