tl;dr: We move out of wikia into our own hosting. Sea provides domains. anyways, there would be no shoutbox, but we have irc. We'd use monobook, and if 1.16 of mw comes stable, vector. We'd use the forums here, but there would be no blog feature. I'd either install a tightly integrated wordpress or an mw extension. we can also install some other cool stuff. |

Nah, I wouldn't do that. A lot of our articles depend on Wikia for continuity, and It's more convenient to have an army of spam-destroying staff at your disposal. Anyway, what have the staff done to us? |

I'm okay with it, but the thing that's kind of a concern is the articles we have on the current wiki. Would take months to replace them unless there's an alternative method. |

wikia can export the databse, plus I have a bot handy. sea will buy you guys a domain. also, to make this easier, the lqa purge should be moved into july so we can get everything all set up for august. |

So far the vote is: Four to One, for. Once it gets to five votes for, we make it official. Then, we can make the move in August and Delete the LQAs in July. |

Okay. I'm in. The power and extensions and excitement is too great. There is no way that we can move every single item, every category, image, code, interface, link, item, article, template, MediaWiki item, everything in that database from the Sidebar to the user avatars! It's impossible, and the Staff would never allow it! Why, this heresy could get the CPFW deleted! Once in, you can never get out! Now, as much as I would like to have more power, abilities, customizations, and to kick COPPA out forever, we can't because we are forever locked into Wikia and depend on their code and interfact to exist. We can't export the site and plagerize them! What would become of the current "clubpenguin.wikia.com" domain?! It certainly won't REDIRECT! As for a TLD, don't you DARE get .info or .biz!! After all, we're not informative, and we're not a business (yet!). Go for .name, a personal site, or .us, a site situated primarily in the United States. Actually, go for the country TLD that contains the most users. Lastly, if Seahorse owns the domain, wouldn't he own the site? What if he tries to put reforms on us? This is a horrible idea that. oh yes we can. database exporting. sea just owns the domain, he justs holds it, you guys have control over the site. we get get all sorts of tlds for you. the old will be a HEY THERE, WE'VE MOVED, UPDATE BOOKMARKS. tfwiki and illogicipedia have moved out of wikia. considering we are the best, if people try and start a new one, it will be crap and they'll come here. the purge will start on the last day of july, enough time. then there should be enough in august to make sure everything works. sea will also help you. |
