Li Syaoran uses Chinese magic, but why does he use Japanese incantations? The Clow cards uses English names at least, yet Syaoran uses pure Jap. I know it is for the Jap speakers, but it doesn't really make sense... After all he learned his spells before going to Japan. |

huh... that's really good question. i was gonna say that it's in Japanese because it was for Japanese viewers. so, they're hearing what the Japanese spell would sound like. the chinese would obviously hear what the chinese version is, and English speakers hear the english version (although, seriously, the english version sucks >:( ) lol...did that make ANY sense? |

Yes, in the Cantonese version, Syaoran's incantations are all in Chinese. Just thought I'd confirm that.

Ooops, I forgot something. I think the reason the Clow Cards are in English is because English is more of an international language, so most people can speak it. Also, if they were translated, there might have been cards which were slightly interchangeable and the meanings may not have been exact. In Asian languages, I find that some words and meanings are sometimes a bit iffy; sort of like they can be interpreted differently. I don't know if that actually made any sense, but hey. ^^;; |
