http://tvline.com/2018/01/28/big-brother-celebrity-edition-cast-list-omarosa/ I know and hate Omarosa. I knew the Cosby kid when she was a kid, but not since. I know Marisa Jaret Winokur. I know Mark McGrath. I know Shannon Elizabeth. She's pretty. I kinda sorta know who Chuck Liddell is, mostly from Howard Stern. I have heard of Metta World Peace, think I saw him in a recurring bit on Best Week Ever years ago. I don't know the other people. Probably a disaster in the making, but I expect I'll watch. Mom and I have been watching Cody & Jessica on Amazing Race. I have been disappointed there has not been more team vs. team squabbling. They are all pretty nice to each other. |

The cast isnt as bad as I was expecting. There are 11 named so far so many are expecting a "surprise" 12th hg on premier night. I'll watch the trainwreck for sure. Not sure if its worth the time/effort/expense to get feeds this time around for such a short time. Maybe.... Jess/Cody are doing well on TAR. I am spoiled on it so I wont say to much. It appears the niceness of all the teams carries through to the end, they are all still very chummy on social media. |

That's a lot of BB packed into three weeks. Someone posted a grid of the schedule and it looks like the Friday episodes are two hours. If they're fun, I may be able to stick with it. But I could see myself missing one episode and not going back to it. |

I understand the people that would do this is, like, a fairly small pool. But that FOUR were Celebrity Apprentice contestants (Keisha, Brandi, Mark, Omarosa) and FIVE (Metta WP, James Maslow, Chuck Liddell, Shannon, Marisa) were on Dancing with the Stars... and only TWO (Ariadna, Ross) were not on those two shows... It's just not very impressive. Man, I loved VH1's Surreal Life, back in the day... (looks it up... 2003-2006... wow. We are old). ... Somehow in the 'oops-we-featured-a-murderer' scandal that killed the franchise, there was a seventh season of TSL that was produced that never aired... of its six known participants, two are now dead - Macho Man Randy Savage and Miss Cleo... the others were Phil Hellmuth, Dabney Coleman, Carrot Top, and Nikki McKibbin. I'd rather watch that than this Celeb BB edition... |

Okay, I never watched Apprentice or DWTS except one episode each that confirmed my skipping them... so it looks like I'm skipping this too. So Julie originally said none of the celebs would be reality TV celebs. :P |

I have seen bits and pieces of DWTS, mostly to peek in on dancers I knew from SYTYCD, but I didn't like the format, or the judges, or... the show was very much Not For Me. I watched two or three (four?) seasons of Apprentice. I feel guilty about this now, like I was complicit in a terrible, terrible crime... Assuming Julie didn't lie... maybe casting had a very hard time of this. The background may be more interesting than the product... |

Yeah I imagine casting this was a nightmare but you would think they would have had at least some idea who they could/couldn't get prior to publicly hyping the show. I watch enough reality trash that I know most of these people so I'm curious enough to watch. I loved Surreal Life back in the day. I laughed harder at Verne Troyer than anything else I can remember on tv. I like DWTS, much less now than in early seasons but I still watch. It will be fun to see Shannon Elizabeth play since she is a known fan of the show. |

There was something that Julie said about BB newbies being easier to manage because they're grateful to have the opportunity to be on television, while those who are more familiar with the industry may come in with a different attitude. So, I'm curious enough to see how they interact with each other at first. I had zero expectations about who they'd cast for this. It just seemed like the perfect opportunity for them to spin a fairy tale about how great it will be, and then disappoint. I know I watched at least parts of S4 of The Surreal Life, because I remember Greg Brady romancing America's Next Top Model and Vern Troyer being a drunk mess. I feel like I watched Tammy Faye on some reality show, so maybe season 2, also? ETA:You must have posted right after I went into the posting box, jbrr, because it looks like I copied some of what you wrote, lol. I clicked over to TSL wiki, so I got distracted. The Tammy Faye/Ron Jeremy friendship, and Flav and Brigitte Neilsen, and yeah, Curry and Knight... some gold stuff, for sure. Verne pissing in the corner of a room... it was just a really fun show. Yikes, forgot Omarosa was on a season... My high school girlfriend/good-friend-now Rhonda is a cousin of Jane Wiedlin of the Gogos, who was on Season 4... |

First feed leaks have happened. Early indications that we might finally get a real all girls alliance. Not clear who the HOH is but sounds like its one of the girls. Shannon is POV winner. Noms are Chuck and James with James as the target. Some sort of controversy during the spelling comp where the girls were helping each other and the guys were none to happy about it. Some rumblings from the girls they want to take Chuck down and put up Mark since he was the most vocal about the comp "cheating" from the girls. |

Being on DWTS doesn't mean you are a reality show star, or does appearing on any ever in your career give you that tile? I was into The Surreal Life, what a fun show, though I don't know if I viewed it all the way through. |

Surreal Life... I watched most of the spin-offs, too, for awhile... No, if you were on DWTS once (and never any other celebrity 'reality' series), I suppose you could escape the title of 'reality show star' and instead, it's just like, a fun thing somebody did for a little bit. Especially if you were eliminated early, and people even forget that you were ever on it... But if you're cast in a SECOND celebrity 'reality' thing... then, yeah. You're a person that does that kind of thing, and you'll be offered more... Show tonight. At the moment, I'm kinda looking forward to it... -- Since moving in with Mom, I've started watching some things with her that I wouldn't, or might not, on my own... We watch Bold and the Beautiful. I don't like it very much, but the nostalgic value of watching a soap with my Mom - who got me into ATWT and GL and then I watched them for 25 years - is a fun and strong thing. I'm enjoying doing that. She watches Y&R, but I haven't jumped all in on that, because that's a little TOO much time out of the day... but I'm in the room for it sometimes, playing my facebook game (during all of these 'don't require full attention' shows...) ... Watching Amazing Race, which I have seen and abandoned a lot over the years. I like it, but always objected to its winning the Emmy EVERY year, because I'd argue that it wasn't THAT good... Watching Ellen's Game of Games. Great fun. Watching The Wall. Mindless fun. Watching Child Support. Love Ricky and the kids, but could do without the game show portions... Watching CBS Sunday Morning. It's great. We're watching 9-1-1 and Assassination of Gianni Versace together. We're both watching The Resident, but usually not together. And she's fallen behind on X-Files, which I'm current on. She isn't current on 'my Thursday soaps' of Grey's, Scandal, HTGAWM, and Nashville, but she USED to watch them... she fell terribly behind on This Is Us, too, but she likes it... - Mom doesn't watch BB, but she knows Julie well from watching The Talk everyday. I could not handle The Bachelor, which Mom watches. |

I love Ellens Game of Games. Super fun! Looking forward to BB tonight. Still undecided on live feeds....will decide after premier. In the few leaks so far they seem hyper aware that they could be live already and caution each other to watch what they say. With 4 broadcast shows a week I doubt feeds will provide much more than we will get on tv. We'll see. |

Brandi looked like she's really trying to fuck up her face from a some angles but then from others it wasn't too bad. I watched the first 10 minutes and the last few minutes. I was going to go back and watch it all but the reveal of that silly Recast Power made it seem pointless. |

Great fun. Yeah, I don’t know what she used to look like, but whatever work Brandi had done wasn’t super-successful... Shannon is really pretty. I like her, and Marisa. Paul and Rachel singing was funny. Cody didn’t look thrilled to be there. It’s a weird cast, but not skippable, to me. Should be some good fights and shit. |

Yeah Brandi has been slowly screwing up her face since she left RHOBH. Its actually slightly better now than the last time I saw her a few months ago but still bad. Premier was fun. Funny to see the reactions (or lack of) to Paul/Rachel. Nobody seemed to care about Jess/Cody (thats just Codys normal RBF lol). Nice to see they brought Jodi in though I'm sure none of the celebs knew her she is kind of legendary in the BB fandom. I know we usually do open spoilers but since we are so early on I will hide them for now until we have the first live show. Spoiler: click to toggle Watching BBAD....Brandi is a drunken fool (as usual) and will be an easy out when the girls lose power. Everyone loves Chuck. Omarosa is strangely quiet. |

Um. I don’t have a lot of memories of Jodi. Why is she legendary in the fandom? For commentary? (Sounds like Omarosa, Shannon, and Ross would get all the jokes... Ross saying he was in the BB1 finale audience was funny...) |

Legendary may not have been the right word, infamous might have been better. She never got the chance to play, she was the one not picked to be on any of the teams in season 14. She was then put on Dans team and promptly evicted. She was in the house less than 6 hours. She now has a kind of weird cult following among the BB diehards. Shannon, Ross, Marissa, Omarosa are definitely the front runners and most "in the know". I'm hoping for lots more drunken Brandi as she sent the house into an uproar with her antics last night. Poor Metta is just not cut out for this show, I'm kind of shocked he even made it in the house given his publicly known mental health issues. Oh and yes I got the feeds....lol. |

An interesting talk between Ross and Omarosa about the White House. But was it just a publicity stunt? I want to say I'm surprised she said as much as she did, but then I'm not sure she said anything we don't already know. Brandi is cracking me up with the gold under-the-eye thingies. It's fun to try to figure out whose forehead can't move. |

The Omarosa/Ross talk was interesting but yes TOTALLY for publicity. Shes rumored to be getting her own show and writing a book so that was just a teaser for that. BB/CBS are being very careful about what we hear from her. I highly doubt there will be anything too controversial seen/heard unless she blurts something out on a live show, which I doubt. Shes an annoying bitch but shes not stupid. The celebs are surprising me. They are actually playing the game...to varying degrees. Metta is even making an attempt. The lack of showmancing leaves much more time to strategize which is a very welcomed change. Spoiler: click to toggle First eviction should be fun! I'm enjoying this more than I thought I would but its still early. |

There actually was a very real plan to backdoor Shannon, I wish that would have happened. Keisha begging to be voted out seemed overly dramatic to me. Ari is the new HOH. Not sure what she'll do for noms. She's a sleeper to win this thing if she plays this hoh right. Golf comp? with some sort of wind/dust. Lots of coughing/complaining about it. Metta (he'll always be Ron Artest to me) makes me laugh. He really is feeds gold once you understand how far out in the universe the planet he lives on is. I'm hoping for lots of drunk Brandi antics this week since Ari is hoh she's likely to share her wine with Brandi lol. James/Mark are both useless in the game they can go. |

And that was the tv edit version. It actually went on for 10-15 mins. and was hilarious the entire time. He insists they are ducks.... The isolation seems to be really hard on him he is also very fond of the stuffed owl for BBAD and was very upset he was missing yesterday. He has some very interesting philosophies and ideas but hes not stupid. Whatever comes out of his mouth is worth listening to for sure. I'm secretly hoping he pulls a Josh and shocks them all in the end. James/Shannon are the noms. |

Anyone still watching? Tonights live eviction was um...anticlimactic. They dragged out these first evictions way too long. There are way too many people left for being this close to the end. It doesnt feel like authentic BB to me. That said I am still enjoying it quite a bit. Feeds are better than the show. Theres not a lot of loud crazy drama (which I'm sure CBS would prefer) but the gameplay has been entertaining. |

Enjoying it, but the compression is kinda crazy... three shows left? Okay... I liked Shannon. Omarosa has had some really cool outfits. She likes orange... Keshia and Metta begging to go home on a three-week show is a bit of a bummer. |
