Lots to like in #7, 'The Broken Man' (applicable to both Theon and Sandor...).

First time Tyrion has sat out consecutive episodes.

First appearance of Bronn this season, and he had some funny stuff. (Brienne/Jaime reunion next week, yay!)

First appearance of The Hound since Brienne kicked his ass in 4.10... McShane kinda spoiled that he'd be back, but I didn't mind, as I was half-expecting and fully hoping for it since we left him...

Love McShane.

Love the Olenna/Cersei scene.

Really anxious to see Margaery beat the High Sparrow.

Lady Mormont was funny. Liked Sansa and that guy taking verbal turns at each other.

Arya - Ouch. So dumb that she let her guard down that much, though...

Remaining titles -
8 - No One
9 - Battle of the Bastards
10 - The Winds of Winter (there may also be a book with this title 'someday'..)

Just about any viewer with some sense knew that old woman was the Waif in disguise. It was pretty stupid that Arya didn't suspect her as soon as she heard her say "Sweet girl."

Good to see the Hound again.

For as much as I the Queen of Thorns, I thought she was really looking to be her own worst enemy in how she talked to the crazy woman who works for the High Sparrow and by telling Cersei exactly what she thought of her.

Lady Mormont was a nice reminder of how kids have to live with the responsibilities that some adults can't even handle in this world.

Theories abound that Arya's playing them, and we didn't REALLY see her be as vulnerable as she appeared...

I don't know. Wounds looked like they hurt. But she IS a smart Girl, and right, it's not like she didn't know who she's up against...

I still have only seen the first episode, and am looking forward to bingeing this later this month. I've never binged GoT. I may stop functioning for awhile. :P

Are you spoiled, pure, or (most likely) kinda in between?

I'll be doing a binge of 4-13 of Americans... don't think I've ever been more than 4 or 5 behind, so 10 is kind of a big deal...

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about the candle going out. It was cool and while part of me would have relished seeing Arya taking down the Waif, I really don't have much taste for violence, I find.

Was super happy for the return of the character. You know the one.

Ok, Arya was able to defeat the Waif because of her time being blind. The fight is in the dark, so I can accept that. But what about the fight with the Blackfish? Did they need to exclude both fights? It felt a little lazy to take a pass on both fights.

I actually sat through the scenes in Mereen but in hindsight I could have done a slow FF and not missed a thing.

Enjoyed the Hound meeting back up with the Band of Brotherhood. Jaime letting Brienne keep her sword.

The Mount ripping the head off of that guy made me laugh. I'm so sick of the High Sparrow story. Cersei is so rotten that she'll probably do what I think she's going to do.

I quite enjoyed Tyrion trying to get Grey Worm and Missendei to tell jokes.

Agree on the skipping of TWO fights...

I'm sure the fights were skipped because of budget constraints. To tell the truth, I didn't need to see the one. The other was set up as 'dramatic effect' but I am certain budget was the big issue.

Besides, I think we're going to get our fill of bloodshed in the next episode.

Tremendous spectacle. Extraordinary piece of filmmaking... Top-notch direction, cinematography, musical score, editing, and performances by the principals (only twelve cast regulars in this one..).

Rickon - Ow. Fuck.
Wun Wun - Damn. I was really hoping he'd survive. Loved that guy.
Ramsay - That felt good.

The all-is-lost-our-heroes-are-totally-100%-thoroughly-fucked moments were beautiful, and while we all knew Littlefinger's calvary was going to arrive, I thought (as I always do when this happens) it maybe might have been nice if they'd been there just a wee bit earlier...

So I guess Davos hasn't known exactly what happened to Shireen, but now he does...

Dragon stuff was great.

Loved Tyrion with the masters.
Loved Dany and Tyrion with Theon and Yara...

Excited for the finale.

Pleased that Ramsay Snow finally got his comeuppance. I'm sure someone will take his place.

Not sure why I thought Rickon would make it out alive.

I guess if I had been paying better attention I would have known the Knights of the Vale would be the ones to save the day. I knew someone was going to show up just in the nick of time. Trope-y.

Nice to see Sansa gaining strength from all of the rotten things that have happened to her.

Happy to see Melisandre again. For as much as I hated what they did to Shireen, I still don't hold it against Melisandre. I blame Stannis.

Jon being trampled was horrible but I thought it the most moving part of the battle. It reminded me of a recurring dream I have.

Mereen was better than usual.

I don't think there will be a 'new' Joffrey or Ramsay sadist... We're close enough to the end that I don't foresee any more major villains like THEM... We've got Cersei, and the Night King and his horde (and Euron in the Iron Islands, or Ellaria coming from Dorne...), but they're not really the same thing. Kinda hoping we'll be done with the High Sparrow next week... Not certain of it, but... Maybe.

All in all, 'fed to his own dogs' is as befitting as 'choked by poison at his wedding'. I loved how Jon stopped the pummeling just after catching a glimpse of Sansa, and she didn't even have to say 'wait, my turn' out loud.

Walder Frey will need a good death.

Wonder if we should expect a rematch between the Clegane brothers...

I didn't expect Rickon to make it (since we still have Bran..). Was worried about Tormund, glad he made it...

Agree. Melisandre is just listening to what the voice of the 'Lord' tells her to do... Stannis could have said 'no'.

Yuck. That's a terrible recurring dream to have... What are you being trampled by?

In my dream, I'm stuck to my bed and someone is coming to kill me. Not exactly the same as being trampled but more the feeling of being trapped as you feel your demise is imminent. I've woken myself up calling out for help before.

I don't consider the Night King a villain. Some book readers are saying Euron will be the next Ramsay, so I'm expecting the worst.

How many seasons are left after this one?

It's not yet official, but the most recent endgame scenario looks like this -- a 7-episode Season 7 and a 6-episode Season 8 and that's The End.

We should get confirmation on the episode count for next year (and maybe who is directing each one) sometime soon. I kinda think they'll remain vague on the year after...

Yes to all of that. I confess to not being able to watch all of the battle. I just don't have the stomach for it.

We haven't gotten much of Tyrion this season but loved him when we've gotten him. Nice to see him in this role.

Was beyond sad re: Rikon and Wun Wun. Somehow I thought they'd make it.

Glad to see Ramsey go.

I DO blame Melisandre for Shireen. She seemed to fully brace that, all the way. Regrets from
her and Davos do help redeem them both.

Well, Davos wasn't there... Stannis sent him north 'before' (so he wouldn't try to stop him..).

I don't know if Melisandre has any regrets, since she's just an 'instrument', listening to the voices... But I think she has acknowledged that some of the things she's done were 'wrong'. Big confusion for her as to how Stannis wasn't The One...

I still haven't watched my dvd (purchase/gift for donating $100 to Jon Stewart's autism Too Many Stars telethon 4 years ago) of Tracy Morgan and JB Smoove watching the GoT pilot... That'll be fun..

Haven't watched this yet, but Seth's previous GoT bits are gold (and should be on HBO's blu-rays, really, they're that great..)

Finale. Sigh. My poor dear Margaery. I thought she was so clever, manipulating the Sparrow... I thought she'd get herself out of this alive (but probably not Loras - I was not as confident in his surviving the night...).

Good one, Cersei.

But I'll miss Margaery.

New titles for a bunch o' people... Jon, Tyrion, Cersei...

Pycelle - Ouch.

Davos vs. Melisandre was good.

Go, Arya, go. That was beautiful.

Jaime/Walder conversation was fun, too.

Glad Varys made it back from Dorne so quickly as to be back with Dany's group there at the end... Dragons and ships looked really cool.

I think Sansa sorta kinda likes Littlefinger a little bit. But she won't and can't trust him... And I sure wouldn't be able to get over that handover to the Boltons...

Ooh. Library porn. Sam has gone to a better place...

I'm sad for Ser Pounce.

Olenna shutting up the Sands was fun.

Dany/Daario break-up was a good scene.

I love Lady Mormont.

Wonder if George will get his book out before NEXT season starts...

22 regulars in the finale - missing (of the living) only Brienne, Jorah, and the Hound (expect we won't see Jaqen any more, and we've likely left Daario behind for good, but I guess you never know...).

Fantastic episode. Oh so much happened it is hard to take it all in.

There were so many 'damn' and 'oh shit' moments while watching that I had to contain myself.

Had to explain some stuff to hubby since he hasn't read the book and doesn't keep up with who is who on the same scale as most fans. He didn't catch the baby was Jon Snow and thought Ned was still his father ... can you say incest.

Also hubby was wondering what Jamie was thinking at the end while watching Cersei. I think this summary with loads of spoilers probably nailed it ~ https://www.buzzfeed.com/jennaguillaume/cersei-the-mad-queen?utm_term=.mvj88Bb2dz#.vj1WW7z1yZ

Hubby's favorite scene was the Red Wedding revenge. I thought it was brilliant too.

I thought the whole show was fantastic. The only thing that left me really annoyed was Littlefinger not being killed. LOL ... If I was Sansa he would have been dead by now.

Only 13 episodes left of the series. :( I don't know what I will do with my life once it ends.
