Extremely contrived way to get Alicia back to the firm. The fact that a law firm would have less than several million dollars of malpractice is ludicrous. Legal malpractice insurance is not that expensive. Lawyers are always suing one another. My husband's firm carried a huge amount |

Ugh. Just.... That whole episode has given me a really disillusioned feeling for what's coming. I wish they had let Alicia acknowledge the validity of her grief without all this mumbo jumbo with Eli and the phone call. It just seems contrived and artificial and unnecessary. While that emotional scene with Luca and the laundry was powerful in itself, it rests on such a flimsy pretext. If this were a less weighty show, such as Dr. Who, I'd hand-wave the problem and enjoy the moment. Buy with a show that purports to be serious drama, I expect the pieces to fit together seamlessly and resonate over the long arcs. If they REALLY had this in mind then they should have laid the groundwork better with Will. I get that Josh Charles' decision to leave probably threw a monkey wrench in the original long-long term plans/options, but the mark of a truly great drama would be to recover from the problem, even twist it to their benefit. I think they think they ARE doing that, but I think they're wrong. I wonder what they'd be doing if he was still on baord. I'm also just a little worried they DO intend that she will commit suicide. I could see that as a metaphor for someone trying to be 'good' in the political arena. The Cases-otW were really ridiculous. I admire the show's ability to create a plot involving such fringe legal content (the material with Judge Schakowsky) but imo they become so caught up in the legal maneuvering they forget the human issues. And I agree with Krystal, what a stupid way to set up Alicia's return to LAL. I do like Cary, so I think it would have been better if he'd WON the case, got the inmate freed, then invited Alicia to come back again from the point-of-view that she can do so much to help (with pro bono type cases) thru LAL rather than on her own. They almost made that point with investigator $$$$ problems but missed the point. though...I doubt she will return just yet . I'm assuming another twist with that 2.2 mil David Lee's hiding will bring her back as a partner. I do like the moments with JDM, especially their special tagline "are you fine?" I hope they can manage to move forward with this plot without making a disaster. ETA: Finally read that TVline article. I very much agree with its assessments. Eh, I like Diane. I like Alicia. Not sure about Luca. She's got a pretty up tight hair style which is in stark contrast with her not so uptight personality. I understand that may be the contrast they are going for but it seems like a miss, which is unfortunate. I want to invest but I'm not investing... I really don't care about Cary. He always looks too....smug. It's not appealing. Prison didn't change him enough. I like Eli. I like Marissa. I like Peter in a way and think he's far from the baddest person on the show. The stuff with the corrupt judge has dragged on too long and isn't interesting.. I could see him shooting Alicia, actually. Or having her killed. I hadn't thought of Alicia being killed off but that's an interesting theory. |

I like Cary, but hated Czuchry's character on Gilmore Girls largely for that smug quality he has... Alicia is not going to die, and I find the idea of suicide for her completely unthinkable (not that it's ever a good idea for anyone, but...). I am going to have to hunt for a streaming copy of this one... My cable provider and local CBS affiliate are playing chicken, threatening the Super Bowl... (Mom can at least watch her soaps on Pop, but she's upset, missing a lot of stuff...) |

Dax it's streaming free on CBS even if you don't have the All Access pass. Maybe for a limited time? http://www.cbs.com/shows/the_good_wife/video/11568F07-B90F-860F-DF70-93E751472C9E/the-good-wife-judged/ |

I hope that works. Sometimes they ask you to sign in, and if they do... No announcement/confirmation on Czuchry-in-the-GG-revival, but Ausiello seemed to think AS-P might have stuff for all three of the big Rory-boyfriends (Padalecki and Ventimiglia, too). This was early on (October), so obviously that might have changed, but... I kinda think we might see just about EVERYBODY... except McCarthy (bummer) ... and Richard, obviously, but I think that's gonna be what brings everybody back together in #1, 'Winter'... I hated Logan so much. Never wanted him with MY Rory... |

I have never liked Cary, smog is a good description of him and smirkey... If Alicia hates her apartment so much which by the way is probably nicer than 90% of the ones that people have to live in why isn't she go down and live in the mansion with Peter. That's another thing that bugs me about this storyline they are never together except when he's running for something. Now he's not so how about a divorce? |

The other thing I will say is that Alicia sure has some expensive clothing for someone who reportedly doesn't have that much money. Those designer suits or thousands of dollars. And the partner dresses pretty sharp too the necklace she Helen and yesterday's episode is a designer that I recognize and probably goes for about $1,000 |

I don't remember him on Gilmore Girls but I only got through the first couple of seasons of GG. Don't worry Dax I am going to blow through all them very soon. They are on Netflix I believe and I have the DVDs. ;) I liked this episode. (((Ducks and hides))). I felt it more like the good ol' days on the show. I can not see Alicia committing suicide. That would be crazy and she does have kids and mothers with kids don't do that. |

She's lonely in the apartment so she hates it. She liked her nice house and married life until that all fell apart and now she's trying to do the whole independent career woman thing and sometimes she's lonely and it's hard. Plus the condo board. Plus she has set designers. Which is why her apartment always looks so good. |

Alicia has wardrobe and makeup. Also her husband is surely wealthy. The law firm is in the red. She's not. |

Good news - link at cbs.com works, I'll watch it during my open period. Huzzah! http://deadline.com/2016/02/tony-shalhoub-star-braindead-cbs-1201696420/ This may or may not appeal to you - >> In BrainDead, Laurel (Winstead), a young, fresh-faced Hill staffer, gets her first job in Washington, D.C. to discover two things: The government has stopped working, and alien spawn have come to earth and eaten the brains of a growing number of Congressmen and Hill staffers. - but you have to give the Kings this. Unlike, say, Dick Wolf or David E. Kelley, this new project of theirs is very different than their last... |

I 'liked' (it's awful, but realistic) that a guy was still being punished for Alicia's first day of bond court eight months ago. I liked the quiet Alicia moments. Margulies is a really good silent actress. I liked the Alicia/Eli scenes... glad he got in that she and Will DID get their time together anyway... I like that she forgave him at the end. I like Schakowsky as the villain, and there were some great moments here - Lucca vs. Bernie on the stand was a riot, and Judge Mata joking about the musical chairs was funny (and as usual, we must suspend disbelief that this story can occur within a week and not months-between-scenes as this person now sues this person...). Good scene between Jason and Lucca. Jason/Alicia and Lucca/Alicia scenes make me wish they'd had those characters last year, and though I like Colter-as-Bishop, we'd have been better off, really, without Kalinda last year... Jason is a better love interest for Alicia than Finn might have been. Alicia's breakdown with Lucca was really good. I did think the 'push these kids out into the world and I don't even know if I LIKE them' line came off a little harsh... I get what she meant by it (she has been very distant from Zach and Grace, yes), but you know what I mean? Very strongly stated... But she needed that release, and that hug, for sure. The resolution was rushed and dumb. Okay, I get that poor man getting coerced into suing Alicia for malpractice... I get the 'fraternity of the robe' is going to protect Schakowsky to a ridiculous degree, but... no, with the evidence presented there... with the concern Mata rightly had over the victim's civil rights being violated... it's too silly that Alicia is going to LOSE or be forced to settle for over a million bucks. I don't mind when our guys lose (it's better that they do than win every time, because that's boring and unrealistic), but... this is just a WEIRD loss. And the deus ex machina fix is Cary inviting her back to the firm AND they'll absorb her financial penalties? Huh. I didn't like that part. But we HAD said that we wished they were working together again regularly, so... Done. Did that. |

So.... The Good Wife needs to decide if she will stand by her man again? Sounds like Peter is heading for a major fall. I really liked the dynamics with Luca and Alicia at LAL. I'm expecting Alicia to find out about the 2.2 mil Lee hid from her when she 'separated' fro Lockhart, Florrick, Agos and leverage that into name partner status again. The stuff with Eli, Marisa, and Ruth was good too, and I liked Ruth stopping by to drop Alicia a hint... Much spec everywhere about the endgame. Will Alicia stay at LAL even as a name partner? "Avenge" peter by returning to politics? Ride off into the sunset with JDM? |

Glad we weren't done forever with Ruth. I liked spending time with Marissa. The FBI agent wasn't very subtle, though... I'm not sure that 2.2mil David Lee thing is ever gonna come up again. |

Yes I was glad to see Ruth as well, but not sure we'll see her much in the future but who knows. I think Alicia and Lucca are acting like they still have an independent practice and are not part of the bigger picture. I can see why Diane might be annoyed especially at Lucca as she is nobody to Diane. I am sure she will prove herself competent but that might take a few cases. I thought the ants business was stupid and unnecessary. I don't know where they're going with Peter future but I really don't know why they are still together anyhow. I always wondered about people who have nothing in common and have separate lives why they would ever stay together. That would so not be me. I can't imagine being old or on your deathbed and looking at this person that you really haven't lived for the past 30 years and thinking about how much time you wasted. |

Marissa has become my favorite character by far. I confess that I expected more from Diane and Cary than to put the two new black associates together, insisting that they'd like each other. |

Yeah, given the issues they've had with Monica already, it would make sense that they'd be hyper-aware and conscious of anything that might have any HINT of racism attached, but... I laughed at the 'sing spirituals' line. |

After 10 minutes of this ridiculous show, my husband requested that I turn it off. So I think he is done with it. I'll probably watch some during the day when I have a minute here and there. I hope the show got better after the first 10 minutes. |

Big laugh on Veronica's "This must be the painter." I really want to see Roar, the movie Alicia and Jason were watching... Whatever the 2012/Lock thing is about, it doesn't seem to be bringing back a story thread from years ago. Six episodes to go. |
