Some good talk from Julie on Sunday's finale of Close-Up with The Hollywood Reporter on the strike season having an orgy, telling the final three of 2 about 9/11, and Aaryn's racism... |

Looking forward to tonights show since everything will be unspolied since the feed blackout. Kinda fun not knowing whos getting voted out. When feeds went down it was still very up in the air between Austin/Steve. I'm glad we are almost to the end (as I almost always am at this point in the season) but still interested in how it plays out. |

Austin and Liz's reactions to the eviction were good. Steve winning after a big math 'oops' was fun. |

Yeah the reactions were priceless--Austins no shoes walk out the door made me lol. Dont think thats happened before. Bummer there was no immediate aftermath of Austins eviction shown. Hopefully we'll get some of that tomorrow. And just like any good winner Vanessa has put herself in the position to determine the final 3 by winning the veto. I think the smart play is to take Jmac to f3 but she seems to be leaning toward Liz because she is afraid of Steve taking Jmac to f2 over her. |

I think Van evicting JMAc is a mistake, because she had a better chance of winning if Liz isn't locking up two votes. I dunno, I'm pretty lukewarm about all of them. the funniest info I've seen is a 'conspiracy theory' that Steve is totally a fake personality, created to be a less threatening 'nerd' on purpose and all of his quirks and traits are made up. It doesn't seem likely to me but some people think it's true. |

That would be super-fun, but... No. Steve is Steve. That he isn't is as likely as a reveal that Austin has an identical twin he's been switching in and out with all game, and NOBODY caught on, and they don't even tell US until the finale night... The crucial HOH win is funny enough with the 600/6000 multiplication error, but there's such a wide gulf between 2000 and 6000... It was a really lousy estimate, anyway... |

Yeah I was hoping she would take Jmac his finals speech would have been fun lol. She was more worried about being able to beat him in the remaining comps than Liz. She also thought (rightfully so) that neither Jmac or Steve would take her to f2 over the other. Shes counting on Liz being out third so those 2 votes are back in play. She thinks as long as she can get in front of the jury she can argue her way to the win. She believes Steve will take her (he has told the cams/himself otherwise) now that jmac is gone. Steve is an odd study. The conspiracy theory may not be entirely off base. I do think he is playing up the nerdy, completely socially inept persona ALOT. I think he has those qualities but he is very aware of them so in everyday life I imagine he is much different and plays them down and in there its the opposite. He is very smart and has shown in his self/cam talks that he can be quite ruthless and snarky, also grounded and calm. He is VERY aware and concerned with how he is portrayed and theres definitely a character he is trying to create. He wants to be a nerdy villain, kind of the anti-Ian. I say its 65% Steve and 35% exaggeration. I really do believe hes a mamas boy. Van wins part 1 of the final HOH after 3 hours 45 mins. |

Excited for the finale but very ready for it to be done. Vanessa deserves the win but it would be the moment of the season if Steve wins part 3 and takes Liz like he claims to the cams he will. |

Satisfied with it as well. I do still think Vanessa played the best game but Steve pulled it off when he needed to and made the right choice. Van handled it better than I expected though she was clearly upset (who wouldnt be?) she pulled it together quickly and was classy about it by the time she got out to Julie. A little surprised James won AFP over Jmac. I really thought Jmac was a shoe-in. Love Dr. Will leading the jury round tables now hope thats permanent. I will probably check out a little of the post interviews etc but not too much. As always it was a fun summer chatting about this silly show with all you guys! |

Vanessa's game was good. Came down to one question in the final HOH, really... She shouldn't be bitter, since she confessed she wouldn't have taken Steve, either.... Steve's game was good, and he presented his case for the win well (of course, we know he prepared for it...). Four HOH wins vs. Liz's three-but-one-was-dethroned... He did take the shot at Austwins first... He did protect himself well with his alliances... It's a good win. Will moderating the discussion was fun. |

I enjoyed the finale more than I expected, I think partly because the jury wasn't really bitter. I do wonder how it would have gone if Vanessa had made it to the end. I was glad James won FF, he was my pick of the post jury crowd. |

Sometimes I like a bitter jury because they amuse me, but... Yeah. Too often hypocritical, all those Sour Grapes because they got got before they could do it to someone else. "Some of us played the game with honor and integrity"... fuck you. You were playing Big Brother/Survivor. You're ALL a bunch of backstabbers (and if you're not, you're usually out BEFORE jury, so... wow, maybe you just got REALLY lucky, or you were never seen as a threat, so you were floating...). Not being bitter shows maturity and self-awareness. |

The only one who was bitter was Vanessa voting for Liz to win. I understand why Julia and Austin did, but Vanessa. Seriously. |

Right. And I liked Julie's anxiousness to see who Vanessa voted for (since it kinda WAS the most mysterious, going into the box...). |

Yeah Julie wanting to see Vanessas vote first was funny. Watched some backyard interview stuff (i skipped watching a few people but did watch most of them), not much noteworthy info. Austin was told about the "fingergate" twitter hashtag he nervously laughed it off and took the 5th lol. Liz planning a move to LA and vacations with Austin/Julia. Vanessa was understandng of Steves choice and not bitter at all, still talking a mile a minute and explaining her every move and strategy. Most of them when asked seem to believe Van would have won if she had made F2. Clay seems less than enthusiastic about a relationship with Shelli but will honor his promise of a date. The only odd thing was that Jeff was nowhere to be seen. Not that he was a major player being pre-jury but everyone else was there. I dont recall anyone not participating in the backyard interviews prior to this. Everyone was happy and upbeat they all said they would play again. Steve had his short segment on The Talk yesterday. Very short but he came off well. |

Another BB marriage (and baby) http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-moms/news/jordan-lloyd-is-pregnant-and-married-to-jeff-schroeder-w201709 Congrats to Jeff and Jordan! I really had doubts if they would ever make it down the aisle but good for them. Brenchel baby is due any day now also. |

I had doubts too that they would make it down the aisle but I'm happy. Smart to postpone honeymoon with the Zika virus and being preggers. |
