Not that it's particularly worthy of repeating, but... In the 'how fucked up is Michael J. Anderson?' department... The guy put this on his Facebook earlier >> He totally did NOT rape his own underage daughter and then write a television series about it. She totally has NOT lived under a DEATH THREAT from her own father, all her life if she ever told. He NEVER had his "best friend" murdered. And he DEFINITELY NEVER suggested to me that I should kill myself! There's a whole bunch of other stuff he never did either.

Bitter, crazy man..

Little bit on his super-secret TP experience, and Prison Break, and he's gonna be on the next seasons of AHS and Homeland, too. Busy guy...

Carel Stuycken (Giant) said this in a Dutch video
>> I didn’t get to read the script, and hardly any lines were written down for my four scenes. I have less screen time than I had twenty-five years ago, but I’m important for the development of the story.

At press tour on a Showtime panel on Monday - Madchen Amick, Laura Dern, Kyle MacLachlan, Miguel Ferrer, Kimmy Robertson, Robert Forster..

should get a premiere date - 4/30 is the popular rumor, or maybe 5/7...

5/21. Two hours. Then you can stream 3 & 4 right away, give yourself a good four hour binge present...

3 & 4 will air the next week. Then an hour a week after that.

18 hours total.

2.21 and 22 aired together on 6/10/91. The movie, Fire Walk with Me, came out on 8/28/92; a year, 2 months, and 18 days later.

When the new season starts on 5/21/17, it will have been 25 years, 11 months, and 11 days since the Season 2 finale (and 24 years, 8 months, and 23 days since the movie was released).

"I'll see you in 25 years", Laura whispered to Dale in his first visit to the red room...

That's pretty cool. Which episode did this happen in?

Oops. Wait. Sorta wrong. The first visit/dream (end of the European pilot, or the end of the third aired episode) has a '25 Years Later' title card (in the pilot) and is described by Cooper (early in the fourth aired episode) as being 25 years later...

But it isn't in THAT scene where Laura says "I'll see you in 25 years later" - and it isn't in a whisper (the whisper was, Coop said, when she tells him who her killer was... but he doesn't remember after he wakes up...). It's the second season finale. Here - https://youtu.be/BL57-9171pk

Showtime episode descriptions for the first eight hours. They're not terribly descriptive.

Part 1: My log has a message for you.
Part 2: The stars turn and a time presents itself.
Part 3: Call for help.
Part 4: …brings back some memories.
Part 5: Case files.
Part 6: Don’t die.
Part 7: There’s a body all right.
Part 8: Gotta light?

Sunday.

They're worse than those silly previews for next week's episode of Mad Men.

The quick flashes in the last couple previews kinda invoked Mad Men memories, too.

(Hm. Saw a cool one that put some of those images with that awesome and familiar Badalamenti score under it, but I can't find it now... suppose it was fan-made... well, it worked...)

Big screen premiere (of Parts 1 & 2, I think) Friday night in LA. Critics will still be under an embargo, but some spoilerish things will probably sneak out.

I had friends hot to have a party on Sunday when we got the date, but they've been quiet lately... better send some texts... dunno if I'll be alone or with a group, but either way, I will have coffee, pie, and donuts.

And probably not much in the way of sleep before work Monday morning. Do I dare watch all four hours?...

I do love the sentence 'The stars turn and a time presents itself.'

Who's Who of the new people - http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/news/new-twin-peaks-characters-locations-teaser/

Doesn't identify the lady walking the dog.

Interesting that Kathleen Deming does not appear on the cast list.

Nicole LaLiberte - Ooh. She's lovely. Three episodes of Dexter as an old friend of Hannah's. Hm. Don't remember her. http://dexter.wikia.com/wiki/Arlene_Shram

They're dropping 4 episodes on Sunday night? I wish I had Showtime.

Do you have to pay to watch the episodes online?

Two air this week, but 3 & 4 will be available on Showtime's site or app or On Demand afterwards (you have to be a Showtime subscriber, yeah, or... think Amazon Prime has a deal with SHO, but it is an add-on..) They'll air next week. For the third week, #5-on, it should be 'normal'...

Haven't seen 3 & 4 yet, but went through 1 & 2 twice (first time with friends... second time, taking some notes...).

I like it.

Tuesday morning edit - watched 3, but not 4 yet...
Tuesday night edit - Saw 4.

I'm loving it.

The first half of Episode 3 felt like he was testing the patience of the audience or trolling people to try to make some sense of it. I went back and forth between being fascinated and rolling my eyes at the absurdity. Then, after I watched Fire Walk with Me and the Season 2 finale, I went back and watched it again.

I watched the pilot and the finale last week. Will do the movie and its deleted scenes soon.

Watching 3 & 4 tonight with the same friends I watched the premiere with last week. I think I'm the only one that has seen them, so I'll resist 'ooh, I love this part' and all that.

Did you recognize Ronette Pulaski in the room before Dale Cooper gets sucked through the electric socket? She's credited as "American Girl."

There were 2 things that stuck with me after I watched FWWM. Kiefer Sutherland's character asks Chris Isaak's about the Blue Rose but I couldn't tell if Isaak's character knows about it and doesn't want to tell, or doesn't know what it means. Theresa Banks wears the ring that Dougie is wearing and falls off his finger when he swaps with Dale Cooper and goes into The Black Lodge. Has Theresa been to The Black Lodge?

Didn't recognize her immediately, but caught her name in the credits, sure, and then knew who she must have been..

A similar-looking ring is on the hand of the cashier Cooper sees at the casino.

The ring goes from Annie to a hospital nurse in a FWWM deleted scene...

Perhaps the Dougie scenes are meant to be some kind of social commentary but I'm finding them to be painfully stupid. Even Jade told him he needed to see a doctor. It's cool to see Naomi Watts here but her character is a moron.

It was nice to see Peggy Lipton. Aside from the few minutes we got to spend with EvilCooper, I didn't care much for Episode 5.

Few more returns - Mike, Norma, Nadine...

An answer to Jacobi and the shovels...

Somebody really ought to call a doctor for Dougie. Is Janey-E even going to pick him up?

Poor Becky. Sad.

I love Shelly. She's so pretty.

The asshole at the bar is Richard Horne. Audrey's son, is the big speculation...

Interesting. I didn't pay close enough attention to the credits to notice his name, and there weren't any reviews posted last night to help me out. The scene felt relatively random in the context of the rest of the episode but I filed it under Evil-persists-beneath-the-facade-of-a-quaint-town.

Madchen Amick has aged quite well. Seemingly the best of all of them we've seen so far.

Exactly. Perhaps it will be revealed that she has some nefarious motivation and it will start to make a bit of sense. It's now amusing that there was some criticism of Lynch for the rare instance of using an African-American actress as a prostitute but, at this point, she's the most intelligent person in Dougie's orbit.
