It was almost as weird as Restless, but I liked it.

I wasn't entirely sure what was in her head and what was real. I should rewatch, or read a good recap.

Real - phone calls, her walk, the hospital, arriving at the interview at the end...

Homeless-Zach-on-the-bench was funny.

Odd coincidence that Josh Charles does the voiceover here and it airs on the same night where on Girls, Shoshanna and her date are in the same restaurant as 'half the cast of The Good Wife' (including, they note, Josh Charles...).

I hated it. My husband was so turned off he is ready to drop the show. That sure wasn't Josh on the couch unless he had half his nose removed. Also annoyed that the show is supposed to be in Chicago and nothing was there.

They don't film in Chicago, you're right. Many (most?) shows and films shoot in places other than where their stories are set. Does this really bother you every time?

Yeah, I didn't like the Shadow-Will on the bed... Since they were already playing with body-switching stuff (Bishop speaking for Louis was funny), they could have had Finn or Elfman 'play' Will instead of a shadow-clearly-not-Will. But that was Charles SPEAKING for 'Will', and also doing the credit card commercial...

Yes. It does bother me. Why not just say the firm is in New York. Why say it is in Chicago and film it in new York?

I can't find a super-handy quote, but I think the Kings have said they were less interested in NY because it's more often used as a setting, or is too 'big' (population-wise)... And maybe there's a bit more story freedom in Illinois law and politics....oh, and I think they wanted it to be in the Midwest more than either coast...

Only bothers me when productions screw up and show a landmark they shouldn't, or forget to swap out wrong-state license plates...

I can see why they wanted Chicago but then they should use it
I find it really annoying to see new York City and pretend that it is chicago.

I thought this week's (Canning wanting to do good for his kidney donor's family, election is three days out, plastic gun misfire case) was really good. Great Kurt/Diane conflict, really nice Alicia/Prady scene...

I like Prady quite a lot and would be pleased if he were on past the election stuff. The Prady/Alicia scenes were really great. I love the Kurt/Diane stuff. I did not love all of the scenes in Alicia's head playing out. Not terrible but ultimately, distracting. The Canning mind games stuff was good. Glad he didn't kick...

Much better than last week. Still not my favorite season. I don't know how Diane can be married to a guy with such opposite political views. It would be too important to me, just would not work.

Canning can be so slimy but I am still glad they did not kill him off.

So...Is Alicia gonna win? I can't see how that works. So then Prady could stay.

I think she's probably gonna win.

Either way, we could still see Prady...

Finn/Cary exchange here was really funny... "Oh, no, that's ancient history..."

My wife and I were mostly politically opposite. Didn't cause TOO many conflicts... but I don't think I'd do that again, either....

Having her win would sort of change the focus of the show. But it could still work.

Gawd, I hope she doesn't win. She probably will. I don't see how that would work, though. Either dramatically or in any way that is remotely reflective of the way the real world works.

I was disappointed in this last episode. First, I really didn't think she'd win, and think it's a major misstep if the arc isn't to backtrack on it from the beginning. Second, I am just so damn tired of all the stories on so many shows revolving around hacking. Especially since the tone is always "BAD hacker, bad bad bad." which is so obvious. Instead of being about the crass culture we live in that prefers easy internet access which lacks the discipline to use the tech with restraint, intelligence, etc.

That's one of the great things about Person of Interest. They at least are trying to explore a little of the greater issue relating to internet/cyber culture and its effect on real life.

Sorry, I'd never have written an email with that kind of language even with a personal account, let alone using a work email. I'm expected to think these people are smart? And yet they act like numbskull teens with their online activity.

Reminder-I still don't have a cell.

While it was kinda fun-silly to see everybody mad at each other for their e-mails, they aren't always graceful in doing their topical/ripped-from-the-headlines narratives, and... Yeah, I think they probably could have resisted doing a cover of the Sony hack...

Not that it really CAN be sorted out, but the partners trying to screw over Alicia makes it fun to TRY to sort out the structure of the firm... Cary, Alicia, and x (8?) associates started their own firm... on the other side, Will died, and they brought Canning in... Diane quit before she could be pushed and brought some of her clients over to Cary/Alicia... Okay... That was all clear enough... And then they found a way to get their offices back from Lee & Canning... But around the time Alicia was busy campaigning and Cary & Diane brought in David, I got lost... Wait, was that a full MERGER now? It's all one company, and all the breakaways are full partners?... Because they didn't really SAY that, but we have Julius back (with the 'closing of the New York offices'), and... They kinda twisted and turned themselves out of making much sense....

What is the NAME of the company now anyway, pre-Alicia-leaving?

KMI, no joke re: how stupid they all were to use work emails OR machines. At the very least, I'd expect a higher level of paranoia. But I guess the real issue is arrogance...

Dax - yes, exactly-that was another thing I was unhappy with. The law firm was SUCH a big deal for Alicia to start, and now it's nothing, worth 100K? really? And by my count, it's still Agos-Florrick, who brought Diane on board, who brought David. No one else from LG that we have been told about I don't think, which makes the whole mess worse, imo. Really sloppy storytelling for them especially as I think Alicia as a name owner partner was a big deal.

tgir-double YES! So arrogant. I usually have to tamp down my knee jerk dislike of the big money lib POV, and that's a big reason.

Right. Cary, Alicia, their fellow defectors, Diane, Howard (ha!), David.... But all other LG partners and employees should still be with Louis, I'd have thought...

Will be interested to see if anybody ever addresses this in an interview with the Kings...

Lockhart-Agos now, I guess...

Five more. The Kalinda Question looms large...

I agree. As crass as I am here, and maybe even to someone's face, I would never put anything in a business emal or on friggen Facebook or whatever. Though i do share political posts and such, but would not smear another FB person online.

I agree, what is the firm now? And 100 G is ridiculous.

You'd think Alicia would have learned some politics from Eli just running. I thought the show was good as case by case on a weekly basis. I have not liked this season much anyhow. We will see.

I like Diane's story... I've always liked Oliver Platt. Great back-and-forth on the argument (which we can't escape hearing/reading almost daily...). Love the zing to the wedding planner, re:divorce..

Always fun to see Andrew Wiley and his tag-along brood... Yup, that didn't take him long at all. Howell's speeding ticket lie seemed really, really stupid... How was that supposed to help? We 'stumbled on the metadata' while fixing speeding tickets, and... What, ACCIDENTALLY got into the cop's e-mails? No... Anyway, she's totally fucked. Diane, too. Lots of shit hitting lots of fans next week.

Where is Finn's office? He's not a part of whatever-the-firm-is-called, but he's awfully nearby.. Is this the second floor they're sub-leasing to people? I think I maybe remember that...

Really dumb moment - The script having Finn need to explain to Kalinda why he's asking her for a dollar...

Good Alicia/Peter scene.

Love the look on Lily Rabe's face when Peter drops his bombs...

Yeah some of this episode was really great, especially the stuff with Alicia and Peter, and Diane and Riff(?) (Platt) And some was realy dumb.

One of the better episodes I thought. But the politics sucked so bad who would want to be a part of it. I wonder if Peter had a part in having her resign.

I think the Russian spy/whore line might have been meant for another thread, though...

I know Grace and Paige's stories are kinda mirror images of each other with the 'really getting into religion and their Moms don't always dig that', but Grace definitely didn't learn Alicia was a Russian spy or a whore this week (well, okay, she DID recently learn about Mom and Will...).
