Sure was. Probably my favorite episode of the season. I doubt EP 10 will top it. I almost can't even believe that much happened in one episode of this show.

Good finale. Intense. Interesting.

I liked how Daniel's assault of Ted Jr came to light.

Poor Amantha. I feel bad for the way Daniel shuts her out, especially with all she's done to exonerate him. I realize he didn't ask her to help him but some of what he does/says suggests she was wasting her time.

The debrief was a pretty great scene but I'm becoming rather frustrated with whether Daniel did it or not.

Looks like it will be on Thursday at 6am, Krystal. You should record it. It's one of the best episodes of the season.

Bilki, thanks I did record and watched. One of the best epis of the season for sure, maybe the series.
God, Tawny and Ted are like 12 year olds.. I can't believe people can be married and be so weird with each other. I don't know if it is because she is religious that makes her so strange about sex, but it is almost like she is ashamed to take her clothes off in front of her own husband. The miscarraige was for the best for sure, as these 2 do not belong together, and I can see them trying to make this work with a kid. He is like a petulant child as well. There is no communication.

That epi might make me tune in for another season, when I was all but going to give up on it.

Oh. I've mentioned a bunch of times (even in my first response to you in this thread...), and even with a finger on the fast-forward-through-the-ads button, I'd have thought you'd have caught one of those McKinnon-talking bits Sundance often shows with the episodes...

Did you see where I talked about Walton Goggins originally being cast as Daniel, but in Rectify's long journey to the screen, Boyd was 'resurrected' from the matches-the-original-Leonard-story ending of the Justified pilot, so McKinnon had to go with someone else...

(And as much as I love Goggins, and was looking forward to this with him in it, I think the show is stronger for Aden Young being a virtual unknown, going in...)

Yes I do recall the part about Goggins.
But can't recall McKinnon.

Glad you enjoyed that episode, Krystal. Definitely one of the show's best.

I need to read that article you posted when I get the chance, Dax. Hoping he provides a little insight.

http://www.sundance.tv/series/rectify/podcast Recap podcast, done as something of an homage to NPR's Serial.

The sixteen episodes so far are available on Netflix.

Excited about Thursday.

Really mixed emotions on this show. I thought last season wa painfully dull until the last couple, then it was very good. Hsb won't watch for sure, I'll see if I can watch it alone...

Skip it, Krystal. I'm sure you won't like Season 3 any better.

Or, a good Five Reasons You Should Watch - http://www.hitfix.com/the-fien-print/sundancetv-renews-rectify-for-season-4-here-are-5-reasons-you-should-watch

Renewed today for a fourth, but they haven't determined how many episodes it'll be yet. 3 is gonna be six, like 1 was.

I think the fact that it is six episodes will make the slow speed less frustrating. I felt 10 was too many last year and thought the first season of six had a better pace.

10 episodes gave them time for more filler, which made the show feel less unique.

Good to know that they're all on NetFlix, as I feel like I should re-watch the S2 finale and be refreshed on everything Daniel said at the debrief.

They're airing the first episode of the series on AMC right now and it still makes my eyes water a little.

Strongly disagree that there was any filler (or boring parts) in the second season. Daniel got most of his 'staring at random things' out of his system in the first... But then the coma lasted a couple episodes, which made sense...

Just looked at the episode synopses... Important stuff happened in each one (though it's not a super-plot-heavy show, sure...). Would not have been able to condense those ten into six without significant losses...

Depends on who you are asking, Dax. I thought season 2 was dull as dishwasher mostly till the end.

#3 - Amantha at the Thriftytown management training get-up-and-tell-a-story was heartbreaking.

(Interesting seeing Abigail Spencer on True Detective concurrently... She's great...)

Daniel's so funny during interrogations.

It was funny that the management training guy got more than he bargained for when he asked Amantha to tell a story unique to her. I think Amantha's utter disappointment at Daniel confessing is one of the more interesting aspects of the show at this point. I know this show likes to play things understated but I'd be happy to see a little more venting from Amantha.

I realize that it makes sense that the sheriff is exploring George's death but I'm finding most of it relatively pointless. I'm just not intrigued by it maybe/sorta/kinda looking like Daniel did it. There are other characters I'd rather spend the time with.

It was fun to see Amantha get a little "romance" with Michael Vaughn (chuckle).

It's a little different than 'maybe Daniel killed Hanna'... We KNOW he didn't kill George...

Yeah, Amantha's life is very, very sad, and I appreciated her having the opportunity to vent to a room of strangers. Daniel's confession WOULD be unforgivably frustrating, though we sorta understood his want to make it be over and done with...

Amantha has screwed up her own life. She is still plenty young to go back to school instead of wallowing in self pity.

I know the whole town is full of assholes, but it felt a little weird that Amantha's neighbors were all hot to have Melvin kick out Daniel, and we'd never even seen anybody pass by him while he was working on the pool...

Man, Trey plays it calm and cool while Carl's conducting the search...

Previews keep saying 'extended season finale', but my dvr still thinks it's only an hour... Gonna over-program a half-hour onto it... (and will very probably be watching almost-live anyway, but... Heads up...)

EP5 restored my faith in the show. Sheriff Daggett had some good scenes with Chris and Daniel. When Daggett tells Daniel he thinks George wanted to confess for a second time....WOW!

It was nice of them to give Jared a decent scene. That poor kid is so neglected.

I thought there was a nervous edge to all of his laughing but I suppose he could keep his cool because he knows he didn't kill George.

I'll probably watch the finale tonight....
