Claire Danes -- Carrie Mathison Rupert Friend -- Peter Quinn Nazanin Boniadi -- Fara Sherazi Laila Robins -- Ambassador Martha Boyd with Tracy Letts -- Director Andrew Lockhart and Mandy Patinkin -- Saul Berenson Out from 3 - Brody No longer Main Cast - Mira, Dar; Chris, Dana, and Jessica Brody Promoted up from Recurring - Fara New - Martha A solid start. Carrie's looking to Gemma Teller and Betty Francis as mothering role models, apparently. Great casting on Franny, and I don't just mean the red hair... her EXPRESSIONS were very Brody-ish... Wonder how soon Carrie and Maggie's father will pass away. http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/10/05/homeland-premiere-interview/ |

#11 - They finally found story space to address Rebhorn's death. Quinn is such a great bad-ass. Gah, the suspense at the end... and then a lovely closing WTF moment. |

We just purchased this season from Amazon and I watch the first two. Big agree about the mothering Jesus is she bad. I also noticed that Dad was absent and of course reborn is gone. Kind of sad. The first two episodes of this show remind me very much of the movie the good kill which I reviewed under movies. It seems like we can kill a bunch of innocent civilians and just write it off as bad Intel. What would we do if someone bombed a wedding here. We go out of our minds. That's why I feel this subject about drone strikes really needs more discussions especially by young people. I recently read in the New York Times that the ratio of killing bad guys is about 1 to 8. In other words we kill one bad guy for every 8 innocent people that we kill. And we wonder why they hate us and that we can never get out of the Middle East. It's also very fucked up. |

We just finished the season, and I didn't think it was as good as some of the others. But maybe it's just what we were saying about sequels, it's hard to keep even a TV show going year after year. Still enjoyed it though. I actually teared up when Carrie was doing the memorial for her father as I'm sure she really felt bad that James Rebhorn had actually died. It just seems like I knew the guy for so long since he had been Bradley Raines on GL. He never became famous but he always seemed to have work and I saw him on so many shows, Law & Order, and other such things. |

Sure, not a household name or anything, but a well-respected and always very busy working actor. I liked all the Carrie-saving-Saul-and-he-gets-so-mad-at-her-for-doing-it stuff... They do suspense well. |
