What's not to like about the Badger/Star Trek scene?

Vulture had it animated http://www.vulture.com/2013/08/breaking-bad-badger-star-trek-story-animated.html and explains a little how it came about (scriptwriter Gould asked Gilligan if he could use it; the pie-eating contest fan fic is Gilligan's).

I should have watched the last 2 of last season again. Can't recall what happened to Mike...

5.7 - Hank got Mike's lawyer (not Saul, some guy named Dan), and got him to flip... Walt found out, warned Mike... went to give him his emergency getaway bag... but first, wanted the names of the nine imprisoned guys that could implicate him... Mike refused, Walt shoots him (with Mike's own gun!)... injured Mike drives away, but not far... Walt catches up... Kinda feels dumb for a second, because he COULD have just gotten the names from Lydia... Mike: "Just shut the fuck up, Walter, and let me die in peace".

5.8 - Walt 'settles all family business'.

Saw the RiffTrax (the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 guys) of Starship Troopers last night. Very funny... lots of big laughs, and I forgot that Dean Norris was in it...

Good joke on pre-show slides - 'Spoiler Alert: Breaking Bad ends with a whimper when Walt trades his machine gun for some magic beans'.

Yeah, another really good one. It was cool that the women pretty much owned the hour.

Skyler and Hank at the diner was great. Such a relief when she started saying she should consult with a lawyer. I hoped she'd stick by Walt but I wasn't certain. She's in it so deep herself now, though. The scene she caused there at the end, to get away from Hank, reminded of the scene she caused in the manager's office of the store from which Marie had stolen the baby shower gift.

More great stuff with Marie and Skyler. I can't remember when Skyler finds out about Walt but I know it was before Hank got shot. I was just watching those episodes. I wondered if Marie would have been able to narrow it down even more. The fight over the baby was just WOW!

Loved it when Skyler told Walt they should stay quiet. Made me chuckle.

And I still love Lydia. She's become quite dangerous.

Fuck, that was a hard slap Marie gave Skyler. And LOUD!

Skyler learned the truth in 3.1. Hank was shot in 3.7.

So good.

I did think Hank might have thought to go looking for Jesse already, before fate just happened to deliver him up...

So far so brilliant.

Let's not forget about Jesse. OMG he has just completely lost it. I wonder what is going to happen.

I actually was siding with Marie to get the baby out of there. I probably would have done the same thing but just so heartbreaking. Where was Walt Jr.?

Loved the money scene with the 2 guys in the storage unit. Mexico and laying on it! LOL ... Cracked me up when the one guy said 'this is the guy who had 9 prisoners killed at once'. I was wondering what the motivation was to not take off with the $. I would have taken at least a few handfuls ;)

Skyler is in way too deep. She needs a lawyer fast!!! Yeah .... She's screwed.

I just can't see a 'happy ending'.

'Guy hit ten men in prison in a two-minute window, 'sall I'm sayin'...'

I'm sure Huell and Kuby took a little extra... anyone would, of course, and Walt knows this... so he says 'Close enough' when he's checking out the van...

Did seem like a long stretch for Walt Jr. to not be home at all, but it looked like they didn't have time for him with everything else they had to do, and when we do see him next, it's probably going to be 'big'...

I have no idea who the guy in the Conan video is.....

Is Walt Jr in college? No matter what, Marie was wrong to try to take the baby. If Walt and skylar end up in jail (or worse), I am sure they would take custody but it seemed so desperate. Maries is as loony tune as they come as well...

Yea, I think the boys took a few bundles, as will Saul. I hope Walt tells Skylar those cooridinates,,,,
Jesse, I was screaming when the show cut off...

That's Jack McBrayer. He was on Tina Fey's 30 Rock.

RJ Mitte (and Marten Weiner from Mad Men) in a Weird Science spoof on FunnyOrDie today - http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/7b25c5dabe/weird-science-2-with-alessandra-ambrosio

Well, Walt gave Saul a bag to pay his guys (and take a cut), but Huell and Kuby surely won't share with Saul whatever 'extra' they might have skimmed before delivery.

Walt Jr is still in high school.

Lost's Carlton Cuse on twitter >> I'm loving Breaking Bad -- they've got flash forwards, lottery numbers and people yelling, "Walt!!".

Another fantastic hour...

Sad that I'll only ever see 'a new episode' of Breaking Bad just five more times...

I'm so happy this show is going out so strong. Every minute has been fantastic.I'll be watching it again tonight with my kid. I'm DVRing this whole season and I plan to keep them until the DVR breaks!!!

Oh Jessie, why didn't you go to Alaska as planned? I don't see this ending well for you kid.

LOVED the confession tape. OMG I was dying. Brilliant!!!!

I broke down and ordered the 5.1 dvd last week... usually wait for the price to be lower than it was ($25), but I really wanna see the 8 or 9 minute short they made for it, and other extras...

I am keeping the new ones on the dvr for now, but 'unprotected'... should I need the space, they'll go away... but I've been doing pretty good at keeping it low (32-40%) for awhile, so... should have them 'til it's over, and then I'll get the final dvd set... and I'm sure I'll get the full series blu-ray (and keep THAT at my place, and Mom can have the dvds, then...).

Yeah, but we didn't want Jesse to go to Alaska and that's the end of him, with five hours to go...

Interesting point of view from Gunn. I run hot and cold with Skylar, sometimes I think she is as bad as Walter, but really she didn't have much choice with this. I think it is fine to hate a character, but the actress? I have heard nothig but glowing reports for Cranston and he plays the real murderer here...

I do think she has a point about women, you should have heard them carrying on about the Arias trail here, the vitriol. And guys kill their spouses/girlfriends whatever about 100 to one so I didn't get all of the animosity...or interest, why was this broadcast at all...

Another fine hour!

The confession was so great. I'm sure my jaw dropped. With a little work, I'm sure it could be discredited but I can see why Hank wouldn't want it getting out to the DEA.

The dinner at the Mexican restaurant was awkwardly funny. When Marie told Walt he should just die, I wondered if it planted a seed in his mind. A friend of mine thinks he might fake his own death. It could explain why the neighbor lady was so shocked to see him.

The hug in the dessert made my eyes water a little. I know Walt has selfish reasons for wanting to send Jesse away but I do think he still cares about the kid somewhere in there.

I was a little confused with the whole cigarette pack thing. Thought Jesse had realized Huell had lifted the Hello Kitty phone, and he'd been left there to be "taken care of." But OK, he's realized Huell really did lift the ricin cig from his pocket way back then. It wasn't until Sepinwall spelled it out that Jesse's AH-HA moment made sense to me.

Speaking of Sepinwall, lots of complaints about the whole ricin/Brock thing making a return. I was surprised by all the negative comments. Aside from being confused at first, I didn't have a problem with it. There are other things that have bothered me more.

The previews for next week's episode kinda spoiled the whole thing with Jesse spilling gasoline all over the White's house.

It was a brilliant move, the confession, because so many things DO legitimately point to Hank...

I didn't read past the first page of Sepinwall comments yet... I didn't think it was confusing (there were several Monday morning explanation articles for people, just in case), but I did see someone say something I kinda agreed with, that it's maybe a little odd that Mr. MakeDisappear would be so upset to have a client that had a little pot on him... and if you want to get really picky, maybe Saul and Huell shouldn't have played the same trick on Jesse twice (of course, they probably don't know what Walt does, which is that Jesse HAD been suspicious at the time). But I thought the moment played perfectly... Jesse reaching into his pockets... not finding his bag... boom. And then I love Saul's reaction to the ass-kicking - "What did I DO?"

Walt-poisoning-Brock HAD to come back into it. That's a bizarre complaint.

Walt-letting-Jane-die is the BIGGER thing Jesse could discover, but I can't guess the scenario in which it would come out... they already did the 'almost' with exhausted/hallucinating Walt babbling, so they wouldn't do that again...

I didn't notice what in the preview lets the air out of the Jesse/gasoline cliffhanger (but I didn't think there was any fire damage in the flashforward...)

Another good one.

Loved the I've-created-a-monster moment when Skyler tells Walt that Jesse needs to be taken care of. This and the Old Yeller analogy has reminded me that, originally, Jesse wasn't supposed to make it past the first season.

A little surprised Laura Fraser and Jesse Plemons were bumped to Main Cast status, as we've barely seen them in the first half of the final 8.
