David Lyons - Taken from TV.com:

He is most famous for his role as the leading seaman Josh "ET" Holliday on the Australian drama, Sea Patrol. In 2008, he was added to the cast of the popular medical drama, ER as Dr. Simon Brenner, the doctor who ends up being the third person in the last season's love triangle between fan favorites Ray and Neela.

~~~
I just watched the first hour. Love Summer Glau and James Frain. I'm not sure if I'm going to watch or not.
Brenner drove me nuts on ER because he mumbled a lot.
What did you think, Gate? (Regardless of whether or not you continue with it...)
It didn't do much for me except for the 2 characters mentioned above I couldn't get into it. I may give it a chance because of Summer Glau but I did think it was cheesy. I guess I was hoping for more of store like Heroes and felt let down. I may watch the second half of the pilot and see if it gets better but only if I have time.
Only the first hour of the premiere airings was the pilot... the second was, you know, the second episode.
Okay, I've been remodeling a bathroom DIY school nights, and I was very tired, so maybe that's why I had the reaction I did - I enjoyed it. Bubble-gum cheese and it really hearkened back to the 60s Batman old school comics and TV show instead of the newer angsty "serious" comic books graphic novel style...and I guess I was in the mood for that.
Might get bored fast....but I dropped cheesy V from my dvr recording schedule, so there's room.
The hubby and I both loved it.....thought it was a hoot. We especially love the mean little midget dude and the black guy from the "Circus of Crime". I was so afraid they were going to kill him off! Hope he's a regular. We loved Jennifer Ferrin from ATWT so were pleasantly surprised to see her. And of course, who doesn't love Summer Glau who has blossomed into an impossibly gorgeous young woman. We are definitely IN! We just hate that it's on network t.v. because I'm sure if it doesn't do well in the ratings, it will be gone in a heartbeat. I also love cable because of the repeat airings. I'm glad this show isn't like Heroes. It's more fun since it's a real guy doing magic and actually training to do all of his superhero stuff--no "real" superpowers. I'm with KMI--bubble gum cheese that tasted good. I must have been in the mood for it!
He is (Keith David). Yeah, he seemed fairly dead at the end of the first hour, but I guess maybe my mind wandered away... I started the second hour, partly, wondering how he was going to be a regular if he was dead, whether he'd be a 'Harry Morgan' or 'Obi-Wan' type, or... but then I saw that he was alive. Oh, okay.
I also wanted to see Summer Glau smile, and got my wish in one quick scene that I saw in part of that second hour...
It's not going to last, no. But you should get eight now, and five 'later' (this loses its spot when Chuck comes back, but they may squeeze it back in somewhere before summer).
