Question!! First of all I got the Calibre up (thank you!!!!!) and am now trying to figure out how to get e-books from my library to the Calibre software. They are compatible with the Nook and other e-readers but not the Kindle. Although they say the books are PDF they can only be downloaded and opened with the Adobe Digital Editions software. Does anyone have any ideas how we can convert this over? A lot of people at our library have been asking I guess and since I'm such a frequent flier there and told them I was working on this they're waiting for me to figure it out. Thanks guys!!

It's compatible with the Kindle ... trust me.

Here is a link to the user manual ~ http://calibre-ebook.com/user_manual/faq.html

I just plug my Kindle into my computer with the USB and open Calibre. Then I convert the books and send them to my device.

I did notice that he B&N ebooks are 'locked' and not able to convert to the Kindle but there are a million other sites that are. ;)

I have downloaded some B & N ebooks to my Kindle. The format is one not listed under the ones compatible (.amcs or something like that). I'm gonna keep fiddling around with it though. Thanks!
