On Christmas night, on BBC. Always excellent. Simulcast with England for the first time. W00T! It's a "Christmas Carol" homage, and early reviews call is the best Dickens homage ever. (That's hard to believe...) Written by Steven Moffat, the new producer, who is almost always awesome, and guest stars Michael Gambon. Moffat quotes, "It's all your favourite Christmas movies at once, in an hour, with monsters and aliens!' These Christmas specials are usually great entry points for those who never watch the series, which is heavily serialized. I still miss David Tennant, despite all the folks raving about Matt Smith ... |
